What does the word "Emir" mean? It means "Commander" or "Leader" in Arabic. For example, the leader of a group of pilgrims to Mecca is called an Emir Hadji. Even Mohammad the "prophet" of islam was known as Emir, it was one of his titles. The North is not like the South West where traditional rulers are chosen regardless of religious affiliation. In the South West, you have Christians and muslims as Obas. However in the North, only a muslim can be become an Emir.

If Apostle Suleman's actions were consistent with what the Bible teaches, then he has acted on behalf of Christians. If his actions fall short of God's expectations as revealed in the Bible, then he has not acted on behalf of Christians and he will be punished for his sins on the Judgment Day just like any other sinner. Being a "pastor" does not exempt him from facing God's punishment for his sins.

Deuteronomy 17 is God's law to the Israelites telling them to punish sinners living amongst them. It applied ONLY to the Israelites as amongst themselves. God chose Isreal as His people and so He expected them to worship Him alone:

Jeremiah 30:22"'So you will be my people, and I will be your God.'"

The Old Testament was limited to the Jews with the exception of the moral laws within the Old Testament.

In any event, does Deutoronomy mention that Christians should kill Muslims? It clearly does not.
