Hi babajigga, please must someone pay for first semester fee before travelling to Australia?

My kid brother got master admission to study public health at griffin university. He is requesting for my Statement of account. When he get there he will work and pay his school fees that was he told me. He said he don't need to pay now.
He should really ask about that course and the location of the school, especially since he plans on hustling to pay his fees. He should have chosen a university in a big city lyk Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. He should also put it at the back of his mind that it'd be very difficult for him to get permanent residency with public health. Whichever course he eventually chooses, he should try and make sure it's up to 2 years, so that he wouldn't have problem getting his 2 years post study visa.

Good day house.
I just got admission for a diploma in early childhood education and care in TAFE QLD for 1.5 years although I tried to package it to make it two years or more but I was only offered the 1.5 years diploma. (I considered tafe because of the cheap fees).
Please what are my chances and options of staying back after my course, should I accept the offer and pay my fees?
Note: they were the only school that gave a positive response among all the schools I contacted.

Most TAFE programs are in progression, try and check if this very school have a course you can further in after your diploma. It's very likely they have Advanced Diploma in early childhood education and care - combining that will add up to 2years plus, hence ur staying back should not be an issue.

Do you have a Uni degree already?

You've come to the right place bro.

Let me say the little I know abt TAFE, while we wait for the bosses to enlighten us fully.
TAFE - Technical And Further Education is made up of Certificate II, III, IV programs nd I think Diploma and Advanced Diploma are also part.

They are all lower degrees to BSc, not to mention MSc.

I'm also interested in the MPH program but the schools I've seen so far are just so expensive. I think the one babajigga referred to is the cheapest I've seen till now. That's why I'm also weighing the TAFE option, but I just need to hear the view of the experienced ones about opting for a lower degree when I already have a BSc.

Pls is anyone seeing this from Aussie, studying/have studied MPH at a School with 'cheap' tuition, in a city where U could easily raise money for tuition? Pls share the name of such schools, help a brother. I wish to apply as a Masters student at a go if I see schools that are affordable and I'll be able to raise money for next tri or semester after making initial payments from home.

Just like someone said earlier on, completing a Masters of Public Health doesn't in anyway help you in staying back or getting PR. Except that's what you really like and you plan to go back home.

Thanks boss, I'll check the list as you suggested. I studied Microbiology at first degree. Do you have an idea of any course I can study that'll kind of "bridge" so I can proceed to doing MSc Nursing. I understand I can't do MSc Nursing direct with my Microbiology.

Once again, I appreciate you and look forward to more of your advice.

What opportunities are available for someone with Bsc Microbiology for a postgraduate degree that offer permanent presidency in Australia.

Does the Tafe Program offer permanent residency?
How easy is it to gain admission?
What are the requirements?

TAFE.....In Australia, technical and further education or TAFE (/ˈteɪf/) institutions provide a wide range of predominantly vocational tertiary education courses, mostly qualifying courses under the National Training System/Australian Qualifications Framework/Australian Quality Training Framework. Fields covered include business, finance, hospitality, tourism, construction, engineering, visual arts, information technology and community work.

Not the same as Msc TAFE is polytechnic/Technical schools in Nigeria

I studied political science and public Administration in school , I was thinking if I get there I will change to a course that is related to nursing or nursing. I have gotten my transcript and I have done my Ielts.if u can help me figure out what to do
90% of the schools in Oz will direct you to there agents in Nigeria do not forget Australia is not cheap at all .....changing to Nursing should not be a problem

I actually have a Bsc in Nursing, i initially wanted to go for a masters programme but the fees were way to high and i don't want to get stranded halfway considering also the high cost of living.

Instead of going for the Msc in nursing it's better u go for the Bachelor of nursing (graduate entry), which is 2 years. It's for people who already have a degree in another course. You can google the schools in Australia that offer the program. Western Sydney University, QUT and UQ are some of the schools that offer it. WSU isn't an AL1 school tho

You can't do MSc Nursing but with your degree you can enrol in BSc Graduate Entry Nursing as others have mentioned. You have to research on the schools with tuition within your budget. Bear in mind they'll be expensive.

Thanks so much my oga's, I really do appreciate. The options you suggested are great.
Considering the "money" factor which is at the center of this, can I opt for Certificate III, IV or a Diploma in Nursing program...then later do the normal as soon as I'm balanced?
