It depends on your chosen itinerary and flight. They are cheaper yea. But for time, it depends on your chosen itinerary and flight.
The shortest time you can wait at Dubai through Emirates is 3hrs45mins before connecting to JFK, because their first flight to JFK everyday leaves by 8:30am, while the normal scheduled landing at Dubai from Lagos is always 4:45 am (all in local time of the city)
All New York flights are made with the A380 super jumbo. It's gona be a nice experience flying in a double decker plane!

Nice big plane, yeah. But flying about 14 hours or more from Dubai to JFK alone when you can get another flight who total flight time from Lagos to JFK including layovers is around 16 hours for cheaper in many cases(Air Maroc)?? Well, you must really like the airbus smiley

Can someone please recommend graduate schools still accepting application for Fall 2017 and with at least 50% chance of funding.
UG GPA: 4.0
MSc GPA: 3.4
GRE: 153/157/4.0 (V/Q/AW)
Intended Programme: PhD Mechanical/Materials Engineering.
I've checked MUST stats on gradcafe for my programme, no one claimed to have ever received funding. Your kind suggestions please.

In-flight meals are trash..except one is flying 1st class, the wine & champagne is good!
MISTAICEY02288:

Lol, its not about being O B O, its more about being comfortable in your flight. I knew the money was much, but i had no choice cos i wasn't ready to have a stressful flight down here. I really enjoyed the trip. 13 hours non stop, from Lagos to Atlanta, no stopover, I had good meals about 3 times while on the plane before i arrived here and we had the rights to order for more meals or drinks as well. Plus clean interiors, and accommodating flight crew. It was indeed worth it wink cool

I guess you haven't flown With Delta airline before. When you do that, i will be xpecting your feedback on their meals

if Fall is too late, target Spring. But you should be able to get full funding with this results. There is one school in Georgia (I think Georgia State Uni), I cant remember the name, they have a good engineering PhD program

250k-280k ish but definitely less than 300k
electronic:

But I keep seeing 250k to 370k ! Or am I in a dream? cool
Anybody can help confirm what the rates look like?
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 11 by Mekurexx: 9:47am On May 14, 2017
I was gonna mention this. Royal Air is good but their meal is Trash. But the whole point of flying is leaving point A and arriving at point B. ANd yeah the aircraft they use to JFk is pretty BIG! I used Turkish Airlines and it was great! I rate Turkish over Emirates etc. Y'all safe travels and God bless!
saninwa:
For those looking for very cheap flights. Royal Air Maroc is always the cheapest flight to US from nija. Their fare barely cross 250k, or within that range, but I am sure it's not up to 300k. But be prepared for a stopover at Morocco. You will normally take a small boeing 737 to casablanca and then transfer to a boeing 787(dreamliner) or 777 to US. I can't really tell about their services, haven't flown with them before, but am sure they are putting in their best.

I still love Emirates grin

For me, I'll use Delta for local flights. US carriers on international routes lag behind in service and quality compared to other competitors. maybe they served jollof in your flight, in-flight meals is still Trash!

Its late already for both funding and Admission. If I were you I will plan towards fall next year and not spring because they tend to admit more in fall and funding tend to be available more in fall than spring.

Which flight do you find the lowest and how much? That is where we should start from?

The least i saw was 374k which is Royal Air Maroc. Also i want to ask....will there any issue if someone book a flight for me from US. I heard they dont allow booking of flight online from US for someone departing from Nig. How true is this

Wow you mean till August before that flight can leave there and its 374k for 34hours flight? Thats why i said Nigerian airlines are fcked up. Cant imagine being on a trip for that long duration. I giess you just have to make use of that if theres no better alternative but i doubt if there won't be. I suggest you Keep making more enquiries

Hian. Maroc's time of flight is so long. The stopover is tiring! 374k is on the high side for one way I guess. To your question, one can book for you from US but I am thinking it would be way more expensive due to the exchange rate. The amount would be in dollars. While airline in Nigeria would do same dollar exchange at 306 - 315 naira, you person in US would be sacrificing black market rate.

Let me get you a cheaper flight no one has talked about:
Update: this is a 100k cut in price and has shorter time. I checked using wakanow.com. is this fair to you?

Which part of VI specifically? VI is quite large and may be far from your destination. Which area exactly? I guess you aren't resident in Lag, cos this inquiry is quite myopic in scope.

If you are not from a RICH family, how do you want to pay for your Fees? If you don't write GRE and TOEFL how do you want to outsmart the Competition for Funding? which is VERY tricky with a 2.2 sef lipsrsealed

Aunty if you want to take a risk without having the right packaging for VISA interview, carry ON! nothing is impossible....
for schools with enviromental you would spend at least a week searching for schools yourself it's the least you can do for your future.
Read this thread backwards and you would see links that has being shared over and over again for schools go state by state (try georgia, mississippi, tennessee, idaho, nebraska,Arkansas,Texas, montana etc). Head to the environmental department and check their entry level requirements.
Send a mail to the department and tell them of your background.
NB: you might be given conditional admission with prerequisites to take.
Thanks and God bless you.
