iblawi: BTW, before posting links here, read the whole article to avoid embarrassing yourself. It's a pity you never read from your link that from laterr map analysis it's been concluded impossible for Kibera area to hold over 270k people. Pathetic human being you are. 3 Likes |

iblawi: Let me firstt address these spurious claims by asking u this..... Do u beloeve this guy claiming that Ajegunle slum has an estimated population of 4mln? i https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tO0hQHou1cw I guess u dont. If it is true that Ajegunle really has that many people, then there is no way Kibera is the largest slum in Afrrica. Such are the fallacies that have been spread about the Kibera slum by such documentalists and NGO groups seeking to fleece donors........I have pointed that out countless times here. Many seasoned demographic experts disputed right from the onset this claim about Kinera hosting 1 to 2.5mln ressidents begun to emerge, in their argument, that there is no way such a small piece of land 225ha or 2.48sq.km can contain that many pipo. That Kinera could comtain no more than 500k residents. The 2009 census proved them experts right, it established that Kknera had in fact far less pipo than the NGOs claimed- only 170,070 residemts. What is more, that Kinera was noy even the most populated slum in Nairobi. 20km to the east of Nairobi is Mukuru slums, which had 201,000 residents. Mathare slums had 80000 people. Just like in the Ajegunle case above, those documentalists and the NGO never went out of their way to comduct census to determine the actual population of those slums. There figures are based on their wild, overheated conjectures. And may I inform u that it is not true that 65% of Nairobi comprise of slums. U can even comfirm that by searching up the aerial shots of Nairobi or thru the satellite photos. Slums comprise less than 10% of the Nairobi lamdscape.....yes, I can prove that, in the map below. However, 50% of the Nairobi residents are crammed in this slums. That is sad.

Hbuyosh: Thank you Hbuyosh. I hope those who have an honest need to learn will learn. Even 50% is too much. See, Kibera - 170k Mukuru - 200k Mathare - 80k That's 350k and those three slums hold over 80% of slum dwellers in Nairobi. The most the slum population of Nairobi can go is 500k which will represent around 12.5% of the total Nairobi population. 5 Likes |

[quote author=vaxx post=56487734]i will educate you again. You need it becuse your foolishness is alarming.yes aramco is richer than the entity called nigeria. The overall net worth of aramco is 10 TRILLION DOLLAR enough to swallow the gross domestic consumption product of nigeria in 10 times not in 3 times that i formerly stated. You yourself ask me to provide the revenue of aramco which i did. You were suprised again it beat out nigeria goverment revenue. But it seems you are not comfortable with the truth. You compare the real giant saudi arabia with a company that is not even up to one of the company saudi arabia owns. Aramco. I admit your foolishness. I reply you . You again said the gdp is ppp and not norminal. Out of ignorance. Am sure you do not know the diffrence between the two. Even if we are going by the norminal. It's 'NOMINAL'not 'NORMINAL'.If you can't figure out what that means, let us know and stop behaving like a bipolar disorder patient. |
Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Hbuyosh(m): 11:25am On May 14, 2017 |
NairobiWalker:500,000 again is again far too less really. Remember, there are 15 other slums with populations anywhere btwn 20k to 100,000. Nairobi probably has around ++1mln pipo living in slums, out of its 3.5mln residents. But these guys want to imply that almost 99% of the Nairobi resodents live in slums, which is grossly untrue. I.mean, if u say that the Kibera slum alone has 2.5mln and website such as AfricanRanking.com placing the estimates of all the other slums at upwards of 500,000....... Nairobi has a seroous problem of slums, but it is noy to that extent! |

NairobiWalker:That's 450 not 350thousand.That alone is larger than many places with city status. The question is: how did the authorities allow this inhumanity to take root in a supposedly well run and tourism focused small city like Nairobi? It's a good thing however that the present admin seems to be doing something about it.But I read in the Economist that the rate is so slow the cleanup will take a thousand years. The magazine blamed this on the government and the slum dwellers. |

Hbuyosh:Look, guy. When people talk down on Nigeria these days,I don't take it personal unless if I know it's a lie.My question was to Nairobiwalker who implied that we should learn here with an open mind.I asked my question based on that premise.Do you know that before this thread I thought kenya was better and at the same time worse than it is?Hell,I have even learnt more about Nigeria's problems and progress. So,now I know it's both better and worse than it is.Nairobi is more tourism oriented than Lagos or Abuja and far smaller than Lagos, that's why I asked. 1 Like |

obaaderemi: Bros, my intention was to make them realize they have more slums that are far worst than makoko. They were so happy to join MPSA to call makoko a tourist site and they would even like to visit before Lagos state government demolish the place. My plan was just to let them know that the have more of such tourist site in fact most of them live in a worse state than those at makoko. |

NairobiWalker: You need to have a close look at the ancient city called Ibadan. Most of the houses were built long before independence and the zinc roofing are now brown. They are proper houses with road, electricity, water and sanitation. You most be drunk to think most place in Ibadan looks exactly like that. Where are all the new houses built since 70s,80s,90 and even recently? Did they buy old brown roofing sheets for them too. |

NairobiWalker:Hahahaha, actually l knew this slum argument would blow out of proportion. MPSA(the southafrican) started it and now the Kenyans are the ones paying for it, and mpsa is nowhere to be found, lol. These South Africans be setting nations up since 1960BC. It is an honest concern from me though, because Kenya is undoubtedly the powerhouse of East Africa. |

iblawi:It'r just a shame when blacks have to live like this. You never see the whites living in our slums even in kenya and S.A.When you read the Economist mag frequently, you will understand my concern. That mag can't talk about slums without nairobi and lagos and they will give you this shameful report which will show you they are shading the black man(I just read another one). And what are black leaders doing?Nothing.Maybe it's time to change the direction of this thread. But some of us just want to fight.Okay, let the next round begin. |
