Happy Sunday to you all. I wish to start a cyber cafe business and also with services like photocopying and computer training. I really wish to make it comfortable for customers so I'm looking to get AC, nice chairs and tables.

I want to know if #1.5m can start this with 8 computers (only for cyber cafe) and 3 computers for computer training and how lucrative and profitable the business is. Location is Ado Ekiti.


Please I need some helpful contributions and also if there are somethings I need to know before I make any move.

Electricity is the most important feature if you want to succeed in the business. If ado has good power supply, then you are good to go. In all honesty, people hardly visit cyber Cafe these days except they want to print out a document.

Go for beer parlour with nice sound system and maybe AC

Go for your beer parlour and make more profit monthly. People will continue to drink beer till the world ends. But technology has started replacing cafes and it all soon be goon completely.

I think you should not invest in cyber cafe operation. Look for other businesses. The stress that associates with day-to-day running of a cyber cafe can make you have a sleepless night and, moreover it is not lucrative as it used to be.

Why not a high class fast food restaurant. All you do is just hire a very good cook...get a good place in a nice location. Furnish it. You don't even need power supply as such. People eat even with no light as far as your food is delicious. As 4 drinks, iceblock can do d job.
That's exactly what I'm looking to start up now sef. Looking 4 capital..."people must eat even when they have no money". U only drink when u don chop finish belle full.

I have one that I own myself and run it so I can give you best advice.

to succeed you must!!!
1. love the job of ICT, know little repairs/troubleshoot of ur PC
2. learn to fix all basic issues with your printer and copier (refilling them inclusive)
3. light issues MUST be resolved atleast 2 Gen then PHCN becomes backup ( I use inverter and a gen standby 3kv with (2) 200amp)
4. I recommend you buy cheap laptops 30k can as this will help reduce interruption of your customer and also help the life span of your Gen (from experience as I have changed all my turbo desktops)
5 Good network is IDEAL to success else people will complain and will not return again


AND YOUR MONEY COMES FROM

1. printing ( but network could affect it as someone would want to print over 100 pages but need to access it online or from mail)
2. little computer fixes can fetch you cool cash, e.g helping people format there PC, install softwares for them, updates for them etc
3. servicing people printer and refill their printer ink, drum, blade fetch cool cash as well
4. selling accessories fetch cash (aluminum showcase will be good enough for it, mouse, flash, keyboard, laptop chargers etc buy small at first then demand determines your focus)
5. binding and laminating just need light, front and back cover then you do the rest while laminating need only the laminating film.

above all do not exceed 10 pc as there is not much demand sitting to browse
