Wikipedia man, Here is a list of COMPLETE buildings in Nairobi over 100m high. You can check them out online if you wish.

1. Britam Tower - 200m
2. UAP tower - 163m
3. Times Tower - 140m
4. Le'Mac Tower - 126m
5. Teleposta Tower - 120m
6. KICC - 105m
7. Social Security House - 104m
8. I&M Bank - 100m
9. KCB tower - 100m
10. Prism Tower - 133m (Topped out but still undergoing cladding)

Remove I&M bank (99m), Prism Tower (still under construction) and LéMac Tower is not up to 100 meters.

KCB is likely 99 m.

If we remove all those, it will remain 6. grin

Whereas, Lagos has 8 completed skyscrapers. I didn't add the two in Abuja and one in Ibadan. grin

Then, how can you say Kenya has more skyscrapers than Nigeria? grin

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has stated the need for the Indian community in Nigeria to contribute to the growth and development of the country towards economic self-reliance.

He said this during an interactive session with Indian Professional’s Forum at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Ogun State. He added that he always admired steps taken by India to make the country’s economy self-reliant.

Recalling his days at the Indian Military Academy, he said Indians and Nigerians have a deep bond and similarities in culture and family values. He expressed concern why Nigeria was not able to match the country in developmental pace.

Obasanjo, however stressed that by learning from the Indian model, this can be achieved in a short time. The former president commended the steps taken by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi to tackle corruption in the country.

He noted the contributions of Indian nationals doing business in Nigeria, who he said are the second largest employer after the government and contribute to the growth and development of the economy in almost every sector.

According to him, some sectors where India can further assist Nigeria are education, health, automobile industry, agriculture and others. He welcomed all members of the Indian Professional’s Forum led by its president, Mr. Dinesh Rathi and hope that such forum would be held regularly.

Ibadan also had a skyscraper before Dubai had one but that's a single building that stands out as a sore thumb in the middle of badly planned ugly midgets. Sorry sir, that's not enough to call Ibadan a city of skyscrapers.

I don't know why you're so inclined on this Ibadan having the first skyscraper. A skyscraper is a skyscraper irrespective of the time it was built. Nairobi got KICC 4 years after ugly Cocoa House was built and KICC is now a small tower in the mid of numerous other skyscrapers. Furthermore KICC is still an architectural masterpiece.

Ugly planned but better than most unplanned slums in Kenya's best cities. grin

Ugly but it still holds its title as the first in Sub Sahara Africa. tongue grin

Ibadan already rebelled against Oyo empire. They were independent and a semi republic empire. grin
Yes this was during the fall of Oyo, many of Oyo's immediate and vassal states rebelled. Ibadan was more of a formidable city-stated with a powerful military.

Indians do invest a lot in Nigeria like in all countries and of course they employ labour and pay low, but l don't think it's true to say they dominate most of the sensitive aspects of the economy like it is in some other countries. Nigeria is a big country.
Also obasanjo's words are worth investigating sometimes like other politicians, he was speaking to Indians and encouraging them to invest more in Nigeria. Politicians have a way with words.

So where are the 8 Lagos skyscrapers? lol. You can't say Lagos had 8 complete skyscrapers when you haven't listed even 1.
Lagos has 6, Ibadan 1 and that's it. No other in Nigeria.

KCB is 100m, Le'Mac is 126m
(I wonder where you are getting the less than 100m figure lol)

Prism is topped out so it's already a structure with a 133m height.

Anyway I could still remove Prism and I&M but Nairobi will still have 8 (with numerous under construction including Africa's tallest tower) against 6 from Lagos.
