Exactly what I thought going into the field. Wanted law. You know the drill. However as soon as I peemitted myself, I quilkly fell in love with the decipline .it Did open my mind alright.

There are so many social ills this field can help correct. If the government awake to it.

Aside black mamba is not that dark in colour. Only the dark mouth gave it that name.

If this happened in 9ja, very likely it is mamba. Very rare. In fact I know of no record of it even been found in 9a. Rare in West Africa as a whole.
This might be a species of cobra.

No conclusive evidence of any caught in Nigeria by scientists. Show us the video or pic that you took before releasing it.

Two reportedly caught even in Senegal were not conclusive. Mali, Chad, CAR have rare sightings.

I really don't even know the species but the rate at which snakes are moving to urban areas is alarming ..some species sef years ago could not be found in Africa .
