The next step is for them to file her I-140 petition with USCIS. Filing the petition signifies the official commencement of the immigration process. By the way, has your wife passed NCLEX-RN or CGFNS?

She will take Nclex in a few days in India. But she has CGFNS and Visa screen. So please can you advise the timeline between the ETA form 9098 that she signed being approved and I-140 petition

You can take the exam anywhere in the US and about 8 other locations outside the US. My initial registration is with the state of Connecticut but I sat for the exam in Florida. I've never been to Connecticut. I currently practice in Maine

I don't know the exact timeline. I believe it is at the discretion of the sponsor. With Avant, it should not be more than 2 weeks. In my case, my ETA form got back to them on 10/8/15 and the filed the I-140 2 days later. I don't know what the current practice is

bro WellEndowed, please, is it more advisable for me to come in as a student or do registration with AHPRA. My thought is all about the registration procedure, bridging program etc, av tried gathering documents but some documents are practically not available in some schools where I had my training, and I'm so afraid of what the outcome of the registration might be without sending those documents( like, AHPRA requests for accreditation reports of my training schools, unfortunately, they were not available in those schools and they are major criteria in the registration documents).
What should I do oh

I have a valid B1B2 Visa which will enable me travel to write the exam. and am considering changing from BON Texas to Massachusetts... Pls what will your advice be? ....which was why I loved the UK package even though the economy isn't that encouraging considering the tax and the income of nurses compared to other western sides. UK is quite fast with what I gathered, it just takes about 3months from when you make your IELTS cut off to the time You Take the OSCE....I have heard so much from USA applicants, UK applicants, Australia too but very little about the Canada NNAS, like the length of time it takes for them to assess your credentials, have it forwarded to the BON you applied with for evaluation and you getting the ATT, because truth is I hope it doesn't take that long, because I am really impatient lol, one year for cgfns evaluation is just crazy long, is there anybody on the platform who had it different as in shorter? Please kindly share, I need motivation .....
And again for clarification purposes wellendowed did you say it costs 12000dollars to apply to an accredited university to do the 3months bridge programme for nurses in australia? That's quite expensive, good thing though you don't need write a board exam..... And again that OMNI college Hmmmm I feel personally the tuition and every other expenses that comes with it is just outrageous, Na like 7milli when I do the calculation. on top what To teach me to pass their board exam when I already did in my country?? Well I think that's pretty much their story, I am a registered nurse already, I dont think I need another intense programme to teach me to pass a nursing board exam that I have passed before..... I should be able to study hard to ace that, and not spend millions to earn their qualification, it's just somehow, my opinion though, and again as par fixing up the deficiencies we have in our syllabus so you can meet up with the NNAS standard don't think that's true, if you are a bsc nurse here you can match up with theirs and the Rn here as Rpn there.......in all though need someone who has started the NNAS process need someone with first hand Information as regards it, lemme weigh my options please......

....The USA is cool likewise, but I do not have my 2+ years experience in a 100+ bedded hospital so I felt may be if I apply for my CES, write my Nclex and pass solely just may be Avant would consider me ,and help with getting an employment offer, but then again auschris said it took him like 8months to have that done, n errr... Cgfns evaluation taking about 1yr I really don't plan spending that long in Naija, I don tire for here Walai ....

If you are very sure of acing Nclex on your own without the help of any recruiting agency then by all means go for it. I heard NNAS takes a longer period to complete the evaluation unlike cgfns. You just have to be patient. If you are in a hurry to leave Naija then try Dubai. In less than 3 months you will be out of Nigeria.

On this journey, patience is a virtue. if you are impatient, the waka go tey because you will be taking some wrong steps.
To be clear, it took 8 months from the time I applied to Avant to when I got my visa. I passed CGFNS in 2007 and got my initial visascreen certificate in 2008. Then came visa retrogression. I renewed my visascreen certificate in 2015 after it expired in 2013.
If you add these up, you will find that it is definitely more than 8 months. The good news is that it's much shorter now. I estimate 18 months to 2 years.
You can complete CGFNS evaluation in less than 4 months, depending on how you coordinate with the relevant bodies in Nigeria like your school of nursing and nursing council.

If the US is your most preferred destination, by all means, go for it. A lot can change with you having NCLEX-RN.
You might be attractive to other recruiters. No be only avant dey market.
