P0430 catalytic converter bank 2 (facing radiator) below threshold (faulty most likely burnt out) P0303 misfire on cylinder 3.

I need repair history on the work done on the exhaust before I can continue giving advice on the P0430.

For the P0303 replace all sparkplugs (if they are bad) clean out all injectors.

For a technician in JOS there seems to be 1 very closely let me research.

Thanks for your response Gazzuzz. In 2013, the exhaust the car came with was discarded because it was badly rusted. The work was carried out at the automedics workshop at Akoka.

The catalysts on Bank1 and 2 should be taken down and inspected. They usually die out as a pair, it is also possible there might be an exhaust leak that could trigger the P0430 code. All angles should be explored before any parts are acquired.

oga gazzuzz. gud evening, pls I need ur input on this issue.. my Toyota corolla 2003 refused 2 start after parking it dis afternoon, it wz reviving but not starting. I changed d battery Stl d same result,got a rewire close by to help check it.. he said Notin wz wrong wit any of d fuse, we rented anoda battery Stl d car did not start. had 2 call another rewire/mechanic who said it wz due 2 d kick, he fixed d kick and we got another battery d car started but their was smoke around d engine compartment. the mechanic is now saying the car compressor is bad and that it needs to be changed for 35k, he removed the fan belt and we managed 2 drive it back 2 my house. Now am confused as to what to do and I don't want Dere mechanic to open office on my head. am based in ilorin and I intend travelling done to Lagos nxt week Monday... pls Wats d way 4ward..

Replace timing belt, tensioner and water pump with Original parts.


Also buy a Peugeot scanner PP2000.

Peugeot is a great car if you handle it well.

Hi boss gazzuz...I did a steering rack repair I.e not replaced . On collecting back my car, I discovered the Toyota logo on my steering wheel which should be straightly aligned when the car is moving straight wasn't . I was told to rectify it at an alignment shop and it was duly rectified . Fast forward two weeks, I discovered the steering is out of shape again and the Toyota logo is not aligned when its moving straight... pls wat could be the cause as I'm due for a travel trip soon. drove d car in d morning to work, went for lunch wit d car after lunch car refused to start but all dashboard lights were coming up but car just wudnt start. tried jump starting d car by changing the battery with dat of anoda car,car Stl doesn't start. called a rewire who checked it and said it wz d kick dat wz bad. rewire fixed d kick and d car comes to life,however, there wz smoke from the fan belt area immediately the car started. the rewire said the car compressor has freezed( dat d car a/c is bad) and should b replaced Tho d a/c was working perfectly Dat morning.

Let's understand something together, a frozen compressor and a frozen compressor pulley are not the same thing.

Frozen compressor is a situation there the Engine would function perfectly, but when the a.c is turned on, it would cause the engine to stall, as a result of the inability of the compressor to turn via engine torque.

Frozen compressor pulley, weather or not a.c is turned on, the pulley remains frozen and will not turn and would cause engine to stall.

Which of these 2 symptoms does your compressor present sir?

symptom 2 sir. frozen compressor pulley.. cos d a/c was not turned on. he had to remove the car belt before the car could start..
mod. I went 2 check d car now. started d engine and it came up immediately. however d battery light is showing on d dashboard I guess dis because d fan wz removed ystdy.. also when I opened d hood I noticed one of d belt pulley is stiff.. I need ur expert opinion b4 giving d car 2 any mechanic

Good, please try something quickly, by hand turn the clutch of the compressor while it is in place.
