I Went Astray - Obanikoro Reportedly Confesses To Tibubu by Bondesniger(m): 10:26am On May 17, 2017 |
Musiliu Obanikoro suddenly appeared in the Ikoyi home of Bola Tinubu, national leader of the APC, years after leaving for the PDP - Days after Obanikoro visited Tinubu, the latter's spokesperson has revealed what transpired at the meeting The national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, recently played host to former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, Musiliu Obanikoro. Obanikoro, a former staunch member of the PDP and ex-minister of State for Defence in the Goodluck Jonathan administration, was a critic of the APC and Tinubu since 2006.His visit with Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, Speaker Mudashiru Obasa of the Lagos state House of Assembly and former Deputy Governor Femi Pedro to Tinubu in the latter’s Ikoyi home had spurred speculations that he had joined the APC. Obanikoro was a staunch critic of Tinubu and the APC Giving a reason Obaniko was at Tinubu’s home, Tunde Rahman, the former governor’s spokesperson, said: “I don’t think there is more to the visit. “It’s been in the public domain that Senator Musiliu Obanikoro has reconciled with his political leader. “So, if you see him around Asiwaju, you should understand within that context. “He (Obanikoro) even said it publicly that he has retraced his steps and come back home.“He said when he went astray, he thought Asiwaju would reach out to him but that now, he has retraced his steps… He joined those who came to present the staff of Eyo to Asiwaju as a mark of respect.” At the meeting, a staff of the Eyo was presented to Tinubu. The staff is presented to very important people ahead of the big Eyo festival. NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Senator Musiliu Obanikoro is expected to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) in a matter of days following his meeting with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as part of his plans for 2019. Obanikoro dumped the Tinubu camp about a decade ago to join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while in the Senate but according to The Nation, he has now expressed interest to re-join the APC. sarrki:Under Gej, a bag of rice was sold at N9,500 but when your pay master came on board, it sky rocketed to N22k Under GEJ a dollar to naira was about N85 but when your certificateless pay master came on board it went up to almost N500. Under Gej an egg was sold at 20naira but when your pay master took over office it went up to 50. I bet you must have lost count the cases of suicide recorded in this government compared to when Gej w still in office as president. Lol Come 2019 we would right our wrongs. 1 Like |
