kpaminose:There are criminals and there are criminals. what matters most in a society is the amount of criminals that face justice....you need to come here to see and read about the number of crimes that go in investigated , unsolved to appreciate the level of decay here.... I'm talking about crimes against another human being....not being gay or transgender or drug addict. I'm talking about the number of murders....I don't have the statistics...but I'm pretty sure we have three times the number if murder in America here in Nigeria if not more 5 Likes |

a good name is better than gold and silver. most parents have failed in bringing up their kids I a good way. "train a child in such a way, that when he grows he shall not depart from it" Most Nigerians are so greedy, that they just want to swindle you. Most of our females have turned to something else, they are all money oriented. foreigners are scared of us, cos of our tarnished image out there. they are extra-careful when dealing with Nigerians. Nigerians dupe not just foreigners alone, even their fellow Nigerians. people now act without conscience. People who are honest and sincere with their businesses are given tough time because of this heinous act of ours. We the good Nigerians need to stand up and defend our image, by taking out the rotten eggs among us. it saddens me, when I read stories of crimes perpetuated by Nigerians in foreign countries. Something needs to be done, if not Nigerians may be isolated in foreign countries in the future. We need to fix this decay, if not an avg Nigerian may be seen as a fraudster overseas. we can't sit and look anymore, we need their trust, just as we need to build trust among each other. 5 Likes |

Don't let us forget some of our IGs(Inspector General of police) has been charged of corruption, even ministers of justice, Judges put in place to fight injustice nd corruption has one way or the other bn charged of corruption ..... All, I'm still reiterating, ALL those who occupies our 3 organs of government today are corrupt. They whole of the system is corrupt. When u close ur eyes to pick just a bean out of millions of beans in a bow nd u realise d one u pick is extremely bad. The probability dt rest of the beans is bad is high.. So what are we saying. 4 Likes |

Tayeni:They wrote about Nigerians not training their kids in a proper way that's why I wrote about those petty stuffs. What I saw there is just a nonsense Racist outburst and anybody that agree with any point there should get his/her head checked. To be frank, there is more crime going on in America than Nigeria. Murder? there are more psychos in America murdering people anyhow. The only murder going on in Nigeria is the Fulani herdsmen and BOko Haram that's cordinated terrorism which the Western Nations also share in the Blame. Especially the Fulani Herdsmen. The day you realize that the west got nothing but hatred for you, is the day you stop worshiping them. If you don't know history, Europe is responsible for all the ills happening in Nigeria today. they're still doing it till today. I don't talk about symptoms. I talk about what gave rise to those symptoms. 1 Like 1 Share |

blueseacats: I fully support the call for Western Union's ban!! It is mainly internet scammers that use it in Nigeria. People that send money to Nigeria legitimately have many other means of doing so. Sadly, the bankers also aid and abet these scammers. You'd see bankers who ought to report suspicious transactions clearing dollars and nairas for fraudsters so that they can get their share of the loot. This is how low we have descended! Nigeria! The dungeon called a nation! 4 Likes |

fratermathy: Nigerians didn't invent scamming. The word con-man was first used in houston. Charles Ponzi learnt how to scam and defrauded thousands of people in the same America. As far back as the 18th century Americans have been scamming. U sit on ur lofty self-glorified ass n look down on a whole race because of a few overblown stories n u think dt makes u better than the rest of ur people? I might as well just generalize that Americans are drug users n so liable to spew trash from every hole in their body just like their president regularly does! Nigerians this nigerians that! Ever stop to think that the Nigerian scammers learnt how to scam from tricks seen on the net by American con men? The average Nigerian man will do what it takes to take care of his woman, while u have her up on a pedestal admiring n not acting. That's why ladies around the world luv them. You need to check that slave mentality and really get to know nigeria and the people instead of letting Mr Hitler tell u about ur people. And for ur info, nigerians wouldn't do what the Americans did to the native Indians, the real owners of that land. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I konfused: No one is saying that Nigerians are the only scam artists...but almost everyone is ...u travel to a state as a corper for the first time....u board an okada and the moment he realizes that u b jjc, he charges u tripple cos u don't know the area, im go just de drive you round and round...u go to a bar or club to party, when u about to pay , the waiter or waitress will double charge u or add extra thousands cos u got alot of drinks or they think u are high...u go to a hotel, the receptionist sells rooms without the knowledge of the hotel owner and the bar man smuggles his drinks to sell to customers...the gateman steals diesel for the generator to sell behind...u give someone a car for uber, he disconnects the system timer and then rip u silly...u give person danfo, he starts sharp practices...u carry nwa boy from village, he starts oproko behind ur back...banks underpay their staff and keep them in one position for a decade so as other companies...Nigeria is a rip off...politician doin what they know best...the media reporting fake news while pocketing money for back...students ripping their parents off...lying bout hand outs and books...accommodation 100k , them tell parents 200k...Nigerians are scammers...a country that has scamming as the foundation...the truth b told 15 Likes 1 Share |

PUSH1: The difference is in those countries scamming is a crime, in Nigeria it is a crime only on paper. Our system is corrupt. It is unrealistic to do biz here without given bribe. Doing the rigth thing is not an option to live n survive here. whizpa:I saw a dirty looking Chinese man being protected by a police man today and I felt terrible....is everybody in Nigeria a kidnapper?...no.... In Borno the fear of boko haram is the beginning of wisdom.... yet everybody in Borno is no terrorist...most cyber crimes are carried out by southwesteners....not all yorubas are criminals....most caught drug pushers are easterners....but not all igbos are drug peddlers. The moment your society begins to get stereotyped with a particular vice....know its time to do something about it. We are a society in denial. That's why I don't knock people that stereotype others....its a form of defense mechanism. And all humans do it at first, but then relax their defense once you know that that person on an individual basis. 5 Likes 1 Share |

the black race in general baffles me. Someone writes utter bunkum based on his own personal experience which by the way cannot be verified by any of us and we jump on the bandwagon. No race of people will castigate their kind faster than the black man. Nigeria been the most populous black race typifies this example. Fela got it right, suffer don dabaru our head. Stereotyping a whole country despite the significant contribution of its people. If na to defend Jollof Rice we go to war with Ghana. One guy from God knows where decides we are all thieves and people decide that you didnt even insult else well. Forgetting that even those agreeing are part of the insulted. America bombs countries, throws nations in chaos to further their goals and has one of the highest murder rates, crime rates, drug use but guess what Americans will still shout God bless America. The atrocities the Europeans formented in Africa is well documented but i guess we have short memories. God bless Nigeria. The greatest country on God's green earth. Hate us or Love us, we are known for the Good, the bad and the ugly. Deal with it. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Do you really need to come in contact with 200m Nigerians to have an opinion about Nigerians? If that is the case, then statistics is useless. If you take 10 random samples and the 10 samples are bad, one can deduce that everything in the general population is bad. You hear stories about drug burst, Yoruba folks run to the thread assuming that the criminal is an Igbo. You read about a scam, Igbo folks start yelling "afonja" in jubilation. How many Igbo or Yoruba drug dealers or scammers do you know? It quacks like a duck, it must be a duck. Generalization backed by statistics is acceptable. Change your ways! Sad but funny. You will never hear a Nigerian argue that a place is good but Nigeria is better. Every argument from Nigeria is always about comparing the bad things about Nigeria with others to determine which is worse. / 6 Likes |

kpaminose:I know all about that my friend....neo colonialism and imperialism....but you have to admit regardless of the root causes that this society is deeply broken and the general psyche is shattered. Then we can begin to find remedies for our illness. if you think our leaders are the ones selling us out and not fighting the controls and devices of neo colonialists, remember this.....a society deserve the kind of leaders they have, for they came from amongst us. Every society has at one time or the other in history been conquered and subjugated.....but what makes the difference is if that society possesses the critical mass of brave , honest , strong characters to fight back mental or physical slavery with swords or with brains.
