The schedule attached is from a private hospital in Abuja . This was in 2013 I don't know if it has changed but other mamas can put mouth. I am not in naija at the moment the schedule is a bit different here my baby was given rota at 2 months and 4 months . It may not be too late but you can ask at the vaccine place. Pwntavalent is a combination of DTP,Hep B and Hib

My sisters, how una dey breastfeed with your baby having teeth? His teeth are like razor blades and he doesn't fail to catch the nip. He has even stopped sucking. Maybe I'm making it uncomfortable for him because I'm so afraid.

@Iomoge2, how far?

Lol I didn't mean that same day,,she said its been there for some days and I had the same problem too,so I used toothpaste and it dropped that day.

I'm sure its unheard of for a cord to fall off on the same day and what I typed is not harsh.

I was informed by my mum that some Health centers gives ROTA. If you can't get it in private hospitals, try asking around health centers in other environs. I will also ask around too and get back to the house. Mine was covered by HMO

Hello experienced mamas, please help a ftm. I just realized that my DD hasn't been given Rotavirus vaccine at the health centre we use. She is 12weeks and 3days. I'm being told it's not free and only available at some hospitals. My questions are
1. Is it too late for her to get the shots?
2. If she can still take it, which hospitals around Yaba have it?
3. Please any idea of the price range so I'm prepared.
Thanks Mamas

Please dont ignore

I use a private hospital and I paid 8500 for rota virus vaccine

What do I do to help her? She has blocked nose.

Some say it's cos she is teething, I do not believe this mirth.

My ds has been having serious cough and cold for a week now. It was so bad he was finding it hard to breathe cos of blocked nose. We went to the hospital and they gave us antibiotics with vitamin c. He's gradually getting better. But even with the drugs I wear him warm clothing and I put Mentholatum on his chest and feet. One of my husband's friends said its teething but i no believe am

Use eucalyptus oil or olbas oil to help decongest the nose. You just place drops on thier shirts/bibs/ face towel and hang on the neck.

It really helps with cold and catarrh

Try baby tribotan. Though a combination of baby tribotan and agnesia powder was what worked for us

Attached is immunization list for the hospital I use

All babies get to this stage they are just showing more awareness of their environment. It's just the way we adults on hearing a noise outside we go and peep at the window to see what is going on. Its curiousity at work.Is anybody's baby gumming their nipple and dragging it like rubber. We have entered that stage ko easy rara.

My son is 4 months old and he does that with my n.ipples. Ko easy at all

I have been schooled too not to believe teething to come with illness. I don't know Why I believe but I just believe.

She's not responding to all the drugs she was given. They did all the tests and administered drugs but no way.

Just last night I self medicated vitc and baby piriton on her and she slept till this morning, this was after she was crying and finding it uneasy to sheep with blocked nose again(fifth night).

She woke up this morning full of energy like she used to.

Hotmomma,jummy 004.

Patience, persistence and perseverance is the answer.

My lo practically survived on bm for the first year of her life. Her weight was ok until she started walking and then the bm wasn't enough anymore because of the energy she was expending.

I watched a once plump baby become thin but there was hardly anything I could do. Personally, I don't subscribe to force feeding. (my mother and mil accused me of starving her because I don't eat much either)

So I kept trying with different foods. (at a point I actually gave up and just continued breastfeeding her because I was frustrated)

But now, she eats everything. Rice, swallow (she especially loves it with draw soup), tea and bread, pap, fruits, pringles and coke.

So keep trying even if it's in small quantities, just keep trying. A spoon here and there goes a long way.

One thing I noticed was that she didn't like to keep still when eating so I had to follow her around the room. One step, one spoon.

And anytime anyone forcefully feeds her, she throws up.

So patience, persistence and perseverance.
This is the reason I had to stop exclusive breastfeeding for my 5 months old Do because I suffered this feeding thingy with my Dr even up until now he is still very picky with food and lost so much weight in his first year because he wanted only breast. So I decided that for this second one I won't be on exclusive for so long so that feeding would not be a nightmare for us.

It's good to exclusively breastfeed but the main work is after the 6 months mark when the baby starts to look sickly from rejecting food.

I don't think exclusive breastfeeding that makes a child reject food. I have 3 kids 8 3 and 4 months all exclusively breastfed. The first boy is what you call a true foodie he can eat from today till next year. The 2nd is a picky eater. I think every child comes with their own way of doing things irrespective of what they are fed with.
