Hello V.O,

I just realized that I made a mistake while filling my DS-160 form. I mistakenly entered my current place of residence as my place of birth. I have my place of birth correctly entered on my passport but as it is now, what I have on my DS-160 form is different in that regard.
I have already booked a date for my visa interview with this same DS-160 form. I will like to know your opinion about this. Will it affect my visa application negatively? What can I do? My place of birth is Ogun but I mistakenly entered Lagos.
Thank you.

Go and fill a new ds160 and correct it then go back to appointment page and use the feedback option to email them to help edit and insert your new ds160 code..

After everything is done then you go ahead and print out a new appointment confirmation for your interview.

In less than 2-3 days this will be done for you but be ready to upload new ds160 and data page for them to get it done for you as soon as possible and also indicate your interview date if it's getting close so that the person can get it done for you as soon as possible

Hi guru's in the house.. I got admitted to North Carolina A&T state uni for master's in industrial engineering. I already have my I-20 with me and I will be booking my visa interview soon. I haven't completed my NYSC yet . I'll be completing by October . Please if the VO ask me at the visa interview where I'm working or if I completed NYSC , please what should be the ideal response .
Thanks

Say the truth and you get the visa and the VO will think maybe after visa granted you can defer till spring because I have seen someone granted visa few days to resumption and VO advised her to defer if she can't get extension letter from the school since visa will come out after school resumed

You can change your age on your international passport but it will cost you nothing less than 150k and it can only be done in Abuja. Hope you have not traveled with the passport before?
bigugo247:
Greetings wonderful friends.Pls kindly give advice me. I procured an international passport last year and according to directive of one of my uncles based abroad he told me to reduce my DOB which i did. Eventually he failed to help me. Now i want to sit for GRE exam possibly in aug/sept cos God raised sponsor for me based in NY. All my documents (waec, voters card, etc) all bear my original DOB which contradicts my DOB in my passport. And my sponsor insists my passport must bear my correct details so i can defend myself properly at d embassy during interview and also for GRE exam. Pls how can i change my DOB and is it possible for me to thumb print twice to get a new one as a fresh applicant? pls also my gp is (2.05/5.00) in engineering, i want to pursue an mba in the States. Pls wat are my possible chances? Pls Godfriends advice me. thanks a billion

Now that paper scarce to change won't be easy and it is always expensive ever since e-passport started.

Thank him and say you look forward to hearing from him should a position become available.

Hi gurus,

I have a BSC in maths education and I have been admitted to study Ms mathematics. My aim of studying is to become a lecturer and consultant in the field of analysis ( Complex and Data analysis). Will it be a very strong point to tell the VO that I aspire to be a lecturer and that is why I am studying further? Or I should just base my point on just analysis? Pls critique and feed back. Thanks...

Trust me it's very easy. Just know the right person to meet. My cousin's own took a week plus, that was last month. Booklet is available now in Abuja

BOLAUWA:
Good day all. Please I am applying to morgan state university, usa, for a masters in public health (mph), and I just concluded a phone interview with them,so really hopeful. Anyone with an idea or Experience of how good the institution is and the program, and the chances for a GA. I have already been offered an admission for mph at university of southern mississippi, so am still weighing the options. Ur advice is needed urgently. Thanks a million

I graduated from Morgan State.... it offers great opportunity anyone studying the sciences. You can get access to the top institutions in Baltimore and be a research assistant for government projects. Baltimore is perfect for anyone doing anything in public health/sciences/engineering. Baltimore is also more diverse than anywhere in Mississippi.
Like everything, your experience is what you make of it. So, if you are ambitious the opportunities are there beyond the classroom you just have to seize them!

All the best on your endeavors!
