Looking at the first snapshot below, you will see the names of the buildings and colors that indicate the progress of each buildings. The color are placed side by side with the building to indicate the status of the project. In some cases, they add the year to indicate that it has been completed.

On this note, we can determine the numbers of project completed. Though in some cases the project might not be listed but be well assured that almost the projects in Nairobi has been captured and recorded with their heights save one (Teleposta Tower). The height is what determines a skyscraper in this context and it must be from 100m above.

From the second snapshot you can see all I have mentioned above and you can discern that Kenya has only 6 (with Teleposta Tower) skyscrapers completed as at today.

The green color indicates that these three structures have been completed;

1, The Times Tower - 140 m
2, KICC Tower - 105 m
3, Social Security house - 103 m

The purple indicates that the structures are under construction but with the date added to it, it indicates that it has been completed and two of the structures in Nairobi that indicated the dates are;

4, Britam Tower - 200 m
5, UAP Tower - 163 m

The only skyscraper not listed is
6, Teleposta Tower - 120 m

Which brings us to the total sum of 6 skyscrapers in Nairobi. Where did they get the other 3 skyscrapers from?

Please, take note that the I&M Tower and KCB tower didn't meet the requirement of 100 m to be considered skyscrapers while LéMac is not up to 90 m(as you can see on the 17th position in the 2nd and 3rd snapshot).

Nigeria has 8 completed skyscrapers and many under construction(but should not be counted).

Mind you, Kibera is just one of the dozens of the slums in Nairobi. There are many many more.

Officially, over 60% of Nairobians live in slums. In a country like Kenya that is about 70% rural.
