i just got this from my bank now, so what will happen to people that have multiple cards in all the banks?

Only God knows who the enemy is, the banks or the CBN itself.

The Central Bank Of Nigeria (CBN) has issued a directive which states that effective May 2017, Banks are mandated to charge all active accounts a monthly maintenance fee of N50 for Naira debit/credit cards.
This will be charged to all deserving accounts on a monthly basis as directed by CBN.
We appreciate you banking with us and are poised to render stellar services to ensure you have the best banking experience with us.

I pity those with FBNH in their portfolio. You better sell off if what is coming is true.

The House of Representatives on Thursday invited Godwin Emefiele, Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Ibrahim Magu, acting Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over N12 billion virtual currency scheme involving 60,000 Nigerian investors. Uzoma Nkem-Abonta, Chairman, House Committee on Public Petition who issued the directive at the end of the investigative hearing on the petition instituted by Philemon Ibrahim Gora, also directed Ibrahim Idris, Inspector General of Police, to appear in person before the committee on 30th May, 2017. The petitioner alleged that Diamond Bank unlawfully closed down the account of cash flow and withheld fund deposited in the account worth N12 billion. Gora who assured the Committee of paying all the depositors as soon as the account is unfrozen, lamented that he was informed that the bank account has been frozen on the orders of EFCC and CBN, when he wanted to refund his clients.

A statement from Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity Office of the Vice President said the executive orders were issued “in exercise of the presidential authorities vested in the Executive arm of government.” Specifically, Prof. Osinbajo signed three executive orders giving specific instructions on a number of policy issues affecting: *the promotion of transparency and efficiency in the business environment designed to facilitate the ease of doing business in the country, *timely submission of annual budgetary estimates by all statutory and non-statutory agencies, including companies owned by the Federal Government and *support for local contents in public procurement by the Federal Government. Akande noted that “ahead of the signing, the Acting President held an interactive session at the old Banquet Hall of Presidential Villa with all relevant government officials, including ministers, permanent secretaries and heads of departments .
