Good afternoon everyone and welcome back to my blog and if this is your first time,thank you so much for visiting. Today's post is focused on NYSC camp essentials (the important things to take with you) for the compulsory three weeks set aside in kicking the service year. For my international readers or those who are not aware; NYSC means (National Youth Service Corps) and if you missed my post on 'My Obubra camp experience ' its okay here is a link to that.
I remember when I got listed online as a prospective corp member, I immediately and almost always was surfing the internet on what to take to camp,what to wear,feeding,camp distance and expenses. I was trying to have an idea of camp life would be like before I get into it,so am presuming that's why your here. Well your at the right place,cause I'll be breaking down important things you should take to camp.

WEARS
1) White shorts (better take enough)
2) White round neck shirts (take excess sef)
3) White Sneakers (I didn't bother wearing the one I got from home cause Obubra made one's white look a joke in no minute)
4) White socks (take enough) especially with green
5) Take casuals for Church service (just in case its allowed on that day)
6) Waist pouch (very essential)
* There will be a carnival and probably burn fire night (depending on your location) so also take casuals for this)

DOCUMENTS
1) Call-up letter (do not laminate)
2) School Statement of Result or Certificate
3) School ID Card/Driver's License or Voters card
4) Green card (coloured and photocopies)
5) Jamb admission letter
6) Passports (15)
7) Medical

STATIONRIES (Please take your own o)
1) Pen
2) Tipex
3) A clear file
4) ID Card pack,rope or holder (unless you want to buy from camp)

MAINTENANCE
1) Bucket (you could get from camp too)
2) Disinfectant (very important)
3) Mosquito net (else the camp is fumigated but you'll never know)
4) Rubber Shoes (available in camp too,depending on the location)
5) Needle and thread
6) Hypo
7) Sanitary pad (ladies)
Disposable panties if necessary

TIPS
1) PLEASE ladies and gentlemen go EARLY! The que is not even a joke and cannot be over exaggerated
2) Participate in your platoon activities and competitions (rumour has it that the people that do so end up in good PPA). Most especially, sports and matching (the one's that hold the flags and all).
3) The level of fun you have in camp depends on who's heading your location. It depends mostly on your camp commandant, so pray you don't have the psycho that was at mine.
4) Camp tailors are so wack.
5) Take Panadol and Pain relief drugs
6) Mami market is the only fun place
7) Ladies don't worry there's always a guy hitting on you,so you wouldn't spend so much of your money.
If your like me,take cereal and garri o. Hunger is real,especially when your trying to save a little.
The best tip of all is to have enough MONEY cause trust me there's always something coming up.
