komekn:. josh maja...was only smart enough to go look for rohr and SE players in London...he left his comfort zone...if other players of Nigeria origin had done same...they won't have been refused by rohr. and for that oshimen calm down sir i don't think rohr would've keep inviting him if he was not good ...... 2 Likes |

TheSuperNerd: Bro...I tell you...had it been oshimen was a half German and half Nigerian....considering His rise so far...many Nigerians here currently kicking against his invitation would have been chanting for him to be approached to come play for Nigeria and call into the super eagles just to steal him from Germany.... that lad...is a bunch of talent. perfect example of a real striker.... rohr did well to invite him keshi made this mistake....after the 2013 under 17 world cup...when he keep saying kelechi was too small to be integrated into the SE set up. I tell you nacho could have been our joker in that Brazil hosted world cup tourney 3 Likes |

BascoVanVeli: I know bro...you will rise to the defense of this players... now let me ask this... where those guys registered by enyimba prior the beginning of the new season? will enyimba get some cash should their trials yield result? If yes to these questions it means they're enyimba players and NPFL registered players for the season just that the way the players treat themselves and carry themselves will go a large extent to tell their value and worth. they believe they're only good for Asia low class leagues and perhaps north affrica and nothing else. |

GODWIN OBAJE NOT GIVING UP ON SUPER EAGLES RECALL By Samuel Ahmadu Having rediscovered his scoring form, the Anambra Warriors hitman is still habouring dreams for a return to the senior national team Ifeanyi Ubah forward Godwin Obaje insists he is not losing hopes of earning a recall to the country's senior national team. The Anambra Warriors man was handed his first call-up in 2016 after winning the top scorer award last season with 19 goals at Wikki Tourists . Despite being overlooked for the camping in France, Obaje, who has scored six goals this term vows not relent on his scoring form with hopes of securing a Super Eagles recall. “I'm happy with my performance this season with Ifeanyi Ubah," Obaje told Goal. "For me, it is not about contesting for top scorer, but my team winning games and making progress. We have not done badly in the first round but we hope to fight for all points in the second round. "Personally, it is my dream to play for the Super Eagles. That's the dream of every player. My last experience last year against Zambia was great. "I can't forget even though I did get the chance to play but it was an amazing feeling for me. “I want to remain focus on helping my team this season and score more goals to ensure we reach our targets. "I really don't count goals until the end of the season. By God's grace, I will focus on scoring more and possibly get a call-up to the national team. "I'm not losing hope either getting a call-up to the CHAN team or the main team. The opportunity is very rare and would be a great achievement for me." UCHE NWOFOR HANDS AS TRENCIN VICTORY IN FIVE-GOAL THRILLER By Samuel Ahmadu The striker got his first league goal of the season as they sealed a home victory against Ivan Vukomanovic’ men in a Slovakian topflight encounter Uche Nwofor scored his first goal of the season as AS Trencin defeated Slovan Bratislava 3-2 at the Mestský Futbalový Stadium on Friday. Antonio Mance opened the scoring for the home team but Frantisek Kubik leveled up matters for the visitors before Giorgi Beridze recovered the hosts' lead a minute later. In the second half, Seydouba Soumah brought Vukomanovic's men back into the contest but the Nigerian netted the winner to seal victory for Martin Sevela's men. With the victory, Uche's side moves to fifth on the log with 44 points from 29 games. They will next welcome Tatran Presov at the same venue in their final game of the season on May 27. komekn: When it comes to Osimhen, keep in context that Rohr worked closely with him in training and was impressed with what he saw. Rohr was a coach who handled a young Zidane. Rohr deserves the benefit of doubt if he watches a player in training and feels he has seen top quality. Some times we need to learn from the Masters. 5 Likes 1 Share |

komekn: I hope Onyekuru maintains his lightweight and keeps working on his speed. If he gains weight in the name of fitting with the EPL it will affect his speed. Messi was lightweight when he ghost passed Manchester United players who were EPL Champions and on top the EPL table. Onyekuru's speed is one of his key attributes and he should not tamper with it. Also, weight might result in him becoming prone to injuries. 5 Likes |

Humility017: Keshi called Iheanacho to CHAN camp and reports stated Nacho was to wear the ten shirt. Reports also stated Keshi built the CHAN team around Nacho. Nacho left camp to sign for City and that was what caused the fall-out. Keshi knew Nacho was good and was ready to bring him into the team. Nacho had a chance to break into the Super Eagles World Cup team but Manchester City could not wait to get their hands on one of their prime targets. 1 Like |

Humility017: Just like Ola Aina and Chuba Akpom also made themselves available for training with little or no efforts in getting them. We should chase our foreign born players but any that is not interested we let him be. We are not lacking in talents at any level of the game. We have several others that are WILLING to play for us. Let's go for those . We cannot be forcing or begging people to play for Nigeria. We are NIGERIA. |

Gram! Tell them In fact you don't use the word hype for a player who is showing class. To say Onyekuru is being hyped means he is not good enough or is mediocre. Fact check: wrong. His argument should be he will not leave up to expectation with the SE. How about we wait and see. Onyekuru deserves the attention. In fact I was already singing his praise when he was at single digits in goals scored. I know a player that will go on to achieve when I see them play. Mark my words, he will exceed the Simon and Musa put together. tbaba1234: 1 Like |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Humility017(m): 7:35am On May 20, 2017 |
Icon4s: exactly we shouldn't beg anyone to come play for Nigeria... but we can approach them through our foreign scout if we consider them good enough for the SE. the problem with our officials they ignore those willing to play for those not interested in playing for us... you see what we are looking for in that Hertha Berlin guy whose father said his bound to play for Germany and not Nigeria.... we have it in Manuel akanji and I doubt if the later will turn down Nigeria should he be approached. I really thank God for rohr if not.......I doubt if our indigenous coaches would have operate an open door policy like this.... 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: sir welcome back. on your response: what's wrong wit inviting the lad for camping prior the world cup...I doubt if city would have refuse him it is something we can understand he left camp to sign for man city and few months after camping for the world cup commenced so what stop him for inviting the lad or aluko? what stop keshi from inviting imoh Ezekiel in place of Uchebo? the former had 12 goals that same season... amidst his club winning the Belgian league... uchebo could only manage 5 goals. ...Ideye was even better then |
