Hi guys,

I want to get a family dog and will appreciate your kind counsel on the type of dog i should get.

I have a 16months lovely daughter and we all live alone in a big compound somewhere in ajah so i will appreciate if you can suggest a good guard/aggressive breed of dog that can secure the compound and will not harm my daughter in anyway.

Do you know what it takes to handle an aggressive dog around your daughter? Can you? Answer that as honest as possible.

That said, a Gsd is a safe option, very intelligent, aggressive and safe with kids, get a puppy so it can grow with your family.

No bro....i need an aggressive dog to protect the compound from intruders.the kind of dog that barks when an intruder touches the gate...lol...i also feel the dog will naturally know my daughter and won't pose a risk to her in any way.

i need an aggressive dog...the ones that break their chains and bark once they see intruders.....i just googled the gsd slant back and i'm not so impressed with their physique....please suggest something that fits my description....my daughter stays upstairs 90% of the time and never comes downstairs without supervision so she is safe.

get a boerbu|| a good boerbu|| should cost you about 60 thousand and above....if u want it to be further aggresive |et it spend most of the daytime in the chain or cage at |east 6hours or more and bet me once u re|ease it...it is goona devour any intruder

Or a Doberman who allows you get into the compound, then sneaks up on you from behind and asks for your particulars.

Nah bro...caucasians are so so docile...big for nothing...my neighbour has one...big dog that hardly barks and allows anyone to touch it....

Sir, the slant back Gsd is not the only type of Gsd. Infact they are modified and are mainly for show, from your post I'd suggest a Gsd too but a straight back or DDR... Google DDR Gsds, i think Household Kennel breeds DDR, truth is any dog can be trained to be a guard dog cos i believe even the mighty Caucasian can end up being a couch potato if not trained adequately.

Contact cc Olisafincy, he bought a gsd from House hold so he should have their contact. Would have had puppies sha but my dog ended up with a phantom pregnancy.. Best of luck

hello sir I really understand wat u needs with ur description u can get a rott weiller it actually fit ur needs either pup or adult day are made to b aggressive u can read about dem and I have pups fr sell and also adult if u are interested..

A Caucasian Shepherd would be what you are looking for. I have young children not that I let them like play with the dog but I carry them around the dog , no threat to the children and barks at the slightest strange sign or sound and can bark all night.

A good guard dog.

I also have a Rot but he wont bark unless he is sure of the danger. His barking is very cool.

My Cane Carso barks well easy to train but kind of aggressive to strange dogs.

The Rot is the Alpha since the Caucasian died. My wife insist we must get another but I'm avoiding hairy dogs due to tick infestation. It's a lot harder for me to manage.

I would recommend a Caucasian, it's pretty popular and a very good security dog and will be very loyal to you and yours from my experience.
