I see you created a thread where you inquired about uniben pharmacy and PharmD. Well, let me tell you what I know.

PharmD is a professional program just like Bpharm but with Clinical pharmacy as its edge. Bpharm is 5years, while PharmD program is for 6years. The focal point or rather what makes PharmD unique is the Clinical Pharmacy aspect, where, as a pharmacist you're able to check and resolve drug therapy problems, among other concepts.

Uniben pharmacy had issues with accreditation, but it has been resolved already. But I doubt if they are going to admit students this year, so I heard from some students who filled in for pharmacy and had to do a change of course.

I find this somehow funny sha. Better just go to both schools to check out things for yourself. Don't expect anyone to tell you unizik is better to the derogation of Uniport and vice versa.

They are both good pharmacy schools. Anyone who will come here to tell you one is better will be obviously biased and sentimental. If possible visit both schools and check out things for yourself.

that is in agulu doesnt mean anything. Im from Anambra i know why it was located in agulu. But to be honest i dont know much about the schools. But i think uniport is better

I can't just travel the length and breadth of the east just to access two schools. It's not like they are near to my residence or near to each other.

I have friends in both schools but then, I think I prefer unizik. Why unizik and uniport in the first instance. You should consider the ones that have good student teacher relationship, it's one thing to get admission and another to graduate. Middle finger to the sadistic lecturers, if you can see this, I say fvck you. I'm no longer a student.

Which school do you suggest?
Am just looking for a school where I can study pharmacy and be confident that I'm acquiring standard skills obtainable in Nigeria. I mean I just want to study in a standard school of pharmacy. I choose OAU in my jamb but with my 285 score I'm thinking of changing school. I don't want to stay extra year at home.

I've checked the Nigeria University ranking and uniport is currently in tenth position. That's why I'm considering it. Also due to the fact that unizik has a whole campus (Agulu) dedicated to it, I'm also considering it.

Do you have any other options or do I go for unizik as you have suggested?

d core 5 subjects aren't impressive... Just make your choices around where your catchment area fits. Also go through last year threads on such schools to know what their aggregate policies are. The schools that make use of 8subjects would be of more benefit to you. All the best.

have not been there. No school is standard in Nigeria. For PCN and NUC to accredit the school , then it's ok. I wish post utme wasn't scrapped

That's the reason why I stayed one year @ home.
I did my jamb last year and was preparing vigorously for the post ume b4 dey came up with dis new policy. Sadly my waec didn't favour me.

Finally anyway, it seems am going to stick with unizik.
