Wait it out. I swear it's very hard and if you see my post history I worried experienced mamas on this thread, the paediatrician sef hear whiin. But LO is 3 months and it's gone. I can't even say when it stopped but I just realised one morning that it had stopped If your mind no gree gripe water/infacol are options. You can also make an infusion with cloves (kanafuru) and drink it. LO gets it through your breastmilk. All those are options I got that other mamas say worked for them but e no work for me berra: 1 Like |

My mil just said its normal cos it will happen at some point and dis d first time. He is already showing symptoms of teething. Luckily for us, d runny nose stopped d followibg day and i just contibue keepibg him warm and that boy can scare one wt his sweating sometimes. |

Yesitsme: Hehehe mine was more like hair "scrapage" My sister na so I de manage the hair de go. I even wanted to cut it and regrow but my hair dresser told me not to. At a point I wanted to do dreads. Her advice was to fix weavon and not braid and also no putting of relaxer. I've done all these for 3 months now and the hair is growing gradually. |

@berra colic is stage ur baby will outgrow. well gripewater is not d cure. what it will do is just to relax the intestinal muscle for a while that is why it seems not to always work. my ds also had it and it subsided at 3 months plus. sorry ehn is part of motherhood package. u can try d hot water therapy. enque don't worry most of them tries d leg thing and Yoruba will say they want to eat chicken leg that you should kill one for them lollllsssss. Is nothing to worry about it doesn't last long. sabi mamas please who have tried giving lo blended Quacker oats. I tried it for my almost 8 month ds and he drank it with joy and happiness. I want to know if we are safe to go. |

Sansa143: I was tempted to say Google it....lol Anyways I didn't experience colic that much with my DD, but from what I hav heard and read, I fit explain small. When ur baby cries uncontrollably for no reason....the cries could last for a long time (google says it cld b up to 3 hours). My mum says its baby having stomach ache because of their immature digestive system and it now makes some babies cry uncontrollably. She also mentioned sometin about the healing navel contributin to it.... Honestly I don't even know how to know when baby is being colicky asides from d excessive crying episodes (which cld also be as a result of wet diapers, heat or some sorta discomfort d baby is feeling) but there was something my mum always did to my Dd every evening....She lay her face down on her chest, she said it has a way of soothing the 'stomach pain' and my DD slept peacefully in DT position.... As per what to do about colic- Like I said earlier there 2 options- Wait it out or give drugs (infacol, nospamin, gbomoro, gripe water). My paed warned against giving drugs, she said a colicky baby can be stressing to cater to but we should wait it out patiently. Once they get t 3 months, it all goes away. Nne I hope I haven't confused u join, na wetin I know I tell u o. But meanwhile, babies differ o...so no go find colic where e no de 3 Likes |
