I think you should be matured enough to make your contribution without many foul statement. I don't know how old are you but as a young guy i have seen enough and am talking with experience. Even people whom both parents agree cab face issues latter in the marriage. Op I can assure if u r tuelly serious den it's only a matter of time. Show seriousness by going with a male elder member of your family atleast. I v seen plenty of cases like this and in the end love prevailed. Hardly any Igbo family that u will go to now as a non Igbo dat they will accept u immediately. Igbos don't just marry the children but the both families. And your girl also has her role to play by making her patents realise u r a good person and the one for her.

My guy, check most homes around you, igbo guys of this modern age don't marry more than one wife. It is mostly among igbo guys that you can still find responsible men who are 100% faithful to their wives.Yes, i am very sure i'll be faithful to my lovely lady when i marry her.
