You have to understand that the European line boarders between what is North and West Africa did not split between "Black" and "Non-black." It's just a political boarder. In the South of Libya, you have the Toubou(Tubu) people who are "black" and speak Nilo-Saharn languages of Teda and Daza and are also found in Chad and Niger etc. They are credited with founding one of the earliest African empire, the Kanem empire which stretched from Southern Libya to Northeastern Nigeria. Yes, they are a minority while those who identify as "Arab" are the majority, although you have significant "Berber" or Amazigh population.

- Ethiopia culture wasn't affected. We don't speak their language and follow their culture.
- Ethiopia didn't gave up. There was continuous battles going in those occupation years.
- Italy only occupied few areas. Most of the areas of Ethiopia was free from Italians.
- Italy didn't take control of the Ethiopian government. They reached an argument with Ethiopian people only to live in few towns and not to take power of the government. The government of Ethiopia was still operating aboard.

It was the Europeans who firstly said, Ethiopia was never colonized. They said this because they can't hide the fact.

Yes Berbers are interesting. Most Berbers practice a very liberal form of islam incorporating a lot of traditional elements. They are the link between West Africa and North Africa and have a lot of similarities between other African groups like Fulani. Some Berbers are Nomadic like the Tuaregs who live in the Sahara desert and make stops between settlements in West and North Africa, they were more active during the Azalai caravan/Trans-Saharan trade route. Most dating for the start of Kanem is between 300 AD-700 AD. ethiopia case is intended to be a permanent settlement of some of jobless italian citizens in ethiopia. Infact italian goverment encourage her citizen to occupy ethiopia land. What happen in france ,holland ,belgium is intended to be a temporary state of affairs where a military force temporarily administers an area, either until the original owner loses the conflict or pays certain concessions, or in preparation for annexation – converting control permanently tothe civilian government. american,was colonized by britain yet she debate either to accept german or english as an official language. Ruwanda was not a british colony yet she adopt english as an official language. Libya is a colony of italy likewise eritheria and somali. Known of them speak italian as of today as their official language. May be second i cant say. Therefore adopting their language is not an issue.

Unfourtunately liberian native language is going into extinction. Many native liberia now speak american english with little of thier native language .they called it creole.
