Scalpers I guess! They may shine for the moment but will never survive the volatile nature of the market for long. Maximum 4 months that is if the last upto. Then tell that person to show you his trade history. I bet you, you will feel sorry for him. Brokers ones in a while pull stunt's by manipulating prices. They clear close by sl's by spiking prices in your platform that are not visible in other platforms. Try and be using 15pips SL steady, you will come here to testify

I don't agree on bolded also...one of the guys posted a pics of his house he is building from forex money worth some million $ and many others who have been scalping since like forever.
This idea of broker hunting stop is really misleading, I won't talk about that now... Maybe some other time.

Personally I prefer trading without SL but due to the unpredictable nature of fx market I have learnt to protect my capital. Never allow your stop loss to be stop profit by using SL of 40pips and below. The market does not move in a straight line upward nor downward but rather in zigzag manner.

Nah...these days whoever shows the proof $$$ I follow. Scalping works and swing trading works,in short anything works whichever you use works. Don't say this does or doesn't,it all depends on the person not the strategy.

People forget fundamentals and sentiments shape technical analysis or even technical setups,this line of tot is also included in the baby pips school of pipsology.using the jpy pairs from last week as an example we can see where fundamental analysis and technical analysis line up perfectly.one of the drivers of the world economy (america) was in turmoil,the kind that a president who made the markets rally on winning the election was accused of being involved in an impeachable offence.(uncertainty and risk are high and traders are getting jittery this is the time to be risk averse....jpy and gold are seen as safe heavens in such times). the day this news came out is Monday and most pairs are bullish against the jpy on that day....traders weighed the news tuesday and after analysis of the news(fundamental) d daily candle (technical)hints at traders coming to a consensus-the majority are scared besides eurjpy and chfjpy(they cld be MRE),all other jpy pairs give a bearish hinted candle at the end of tuesday.then look wat happens wednesday across the board on the jpy pairs.use what works for u,people even use volumes to trade and are profitable.cheers and happy greening the rest of the week.

with the first 3 candles H and L of the trading day...eu will sell and i will look for an opportunity to sell. i could just sell now but will just watch for more less riskier entry.

EDIT: went short at 1202 with 15pips stop,tp at 1145.

for anyone who is interested. i am currently going through drawdown. but some currency pairs are beginning to lookup. like the usdnok. i am still holding them all.i believe by the start of the ny session, others would follow. i advice if you are in profit by tuesday, take them. the market somehow always dances a different tune starting from then as a result of everyone trying to settle in for the week. audusd was brought forward from lastweek.

the trade position screen shot were as at 1am nigerian time.

just went short on eurnzd,euraud,gbpusd,gbpaud,gbpnzd for a scalp of 30pips across the board. some are higher but average 30 tgt here.
took another short on eu again.

just went short on eurnzd,euraud,gbpusd,gbpaud,gbpnzd for a scalp of 30pips across the board. some are higher but average 30 tgt here.
took another short on eu again.

Gbpaud 30pips tgt done and the remaining pairs are doing fine...thanks to NY session.

Edit: Gbpnzd hit 30pips tgt done. Euraud just did its 30pips tgt done.

I went for a long on gold and silver and a short on cad/jpy...due to the current deals and meetings with NATO by trump I was skeptical about the strength of the USD this week so I stayed clear of that pair...waiting to see how the week turns out...I'll only trade gold and silver this week and maybe eye the Japanese pair.

Like i was saying, If I had used 30pips SL for this trade , I would have been stopped out. Rule No 1 never trade against the trend. The market is smarter than you.

Not entirely true bro, its very risky to trade against the trend (Everything is this business is risky anyway) but one can perfect the act of managing risks that go with trading against the trend.

I like trading against the trend, Just stick with what works for you
