There's a FedEx Office before you get to the embassy. It's around 17k. Please go early on the day of your appointment.

@Pvibe007....do you mean the FedEx office right at the embassy? Next to the counter for inquiries and queuing?
I will be there early...the appointment is between 7:30 - 8am

Again the proof of funds for self sponsor must it be equivalent to the €8640 in Naira for the block account opening?

God bless us all

How long does it take to get a response from the embassy after the interview ? Also, I heard that NPC cert is only accepted if the applicant is born after 13th Dec, 1992. How true is this ?
And what is the best alternative ?
Thanks !

My sister use a self sponsor or sponsors up to like 4 million or more to be on a safe side, secondly go to any FedEx office close to u get a prepaid envelope address to Deutsch Bank at least a day to ur appointment, always work ahead of time . The Adress is on ur DB Form. It cost 17k there about. Take time to always read old post on this thread every question been asked have been treated.
God bless

Yes u Need extra Cash. U cant unblock instantly it takes up to 5-7days. So u need up to 500-800 at hand.

That 5-7 days will depend on the city, if already has an apartment or a friend address. Different cities and branches of the bank with different ways of implementing the same law. Shalom

Actually am getting a sponsorship letter from in law of mine...my basic problem is if 500k will settle my flight and accommodation there.. or can't I use a sponsor letter ?

The sponsorship letter will only give you visa and residence permit, but it will not pay your bills ranging from Insurance, Semester fees, accommodation&caution, ammeldung fee, resident permit fee, internet, phone bill, feeding and clothing. These are the things you can't do without. If you are not going to a big city, make sure you package yourself very well with atleast the money that will pay 2-3 months bills(500-700Euro/month depending on your life style). After you have settled the bills above in the first to 2nd month, it reduces afterward. In this part of the world, it is OYO. Shalom

A motivation letter will not suffice for all the schools since the course and curriculum might be different. Write one for each school to suit what they want to see according to their guidelines provided they the letter is compulsory as one of the admission requirements. Shalom

My brother u don talk am finish, didn't know how else to explain to that brother. Simple Mathematics covert the money to Euro do the plus and minus Then he will see that it won't be enough, unless he lives with his uncle. If not he had better source for at least 3000 Euros to be on a safe side .

Might be correct, but was speaking from personal experience, better to take a week off, so they come in very prepared incase of eventuality. I have seen someone who came in without one euro hoping to unblock, my brother if not for God and kind Nigerians here his case for me like Solomon Grundy. The idea is come I'm prepared. Shaken.
Thumbs up anyway ur comments has been on point. U are even part of d people that contributed to my coming over to Germany.

perfect option. Someone some pages back used it after DB failed him. An awesome option also for those who don't live in Lagos and don't have the statement of account. Fintiba is the trend worldwide even German embassy in India just added it following the path of the one in naija

I av done that, not every single page though. But it wouldn't be bad if you had answered me before requesting that I go back and read. Thanks all the same.

I am really sorry if the question sounds offensive, but the truth is that, not every body can go through every single page on this thread for some obvious reasons. I have been following up with this thread for sometime now even before I took my IELTS, and it's been helpful I must say. However, I have not been able to read every single page. I know the Visa takes between 6-8 weeks, but on this same thread I read that somebody got a reply from the embassy in 5 days (don't know how true), and that's my confusion (if it's possible). And eh, about the birth cert, I am sorry, but I didn't see anything pertaining to that in any of the pages I read.
