Rivers politics has historically been embrolled in a lot heated and often violent atmosphere.
especially during the ‘‘riverine-upland’’ dichotomy and subsequent militancy, but the current situation has gotten a lot worse under the wike administration.

Both bar. nyesom wike and his predesesor chibuike amaechi have for long been accused of being associated to campus fraternity groups from rivers state university(which i am also an alumni of).
Hon. amaechi went ahead to become state assemble member and a speaker in the house, during his time as the governor of rivers state, wike was widely seen as his‘‘hit-man’’, and responsible for doing his dirty works.

Unlike amaechi,wike was a standup rugged street guy,who openly and publicly boasted of dealing with people who disobey him.
wike is also the first governor to associate,praise,endorse and appoint known cult figures .ie. evans bipi, don wani,odili etc in his administration

although i voted for wike at the last general election but truth be told wike is a dissappointment who thinks rivers starts from phalga and ends at obio/akpor.
amaechi was a gentle cultist but wike is a rugged and hardend frat man just like his mentor peter odili, my days at rivers state uni in mile1 thought me a lot,dey gbam, dey well all na dem dem...

Its in your blood, its your way of life, nothing will end extreme cultism in that state. Once you're 15 its likely you've been initiated into one frat or the other, some even have to leave town because of threats iif you refuse to join.
