goldfish80: m just seeing now too. That OG nawa, but it's the GKs fault he wasn't in his box so there was no way he could handle the ball and also Tomori hit the ball too hard for the Gk to stop with his feet |

The camp of the Super Eagles will this evening come alive ahead of their friendly game against Corsica and Togo with as many as seven players expected to be at the camp of the team. Already the home based contingent comprising of Alhassan Ibrahim, Sikiru Olatubosun and Stephen Odey have touched down France, same as FC Porto on loan midfielder Mikel Agu. Watford loanee Uche Agbo has also arrived France, and should be in the camp of the team tonight alongside the aforementioned players. Olarewaju Kayode who holds the honour of Nigeria’s top scorer in Europe this season, joint top with Henry Onyekuru is also in Paris, from where he will connect to the camp of the team. Onyekuru on his part will arrive France from Belgium later today as well, which will bring the number of players in the camp of the team to seven according to our count. The rest of the players are expected to arrive camp by tomorrow morning for the first friendly against Corsica on the 26th before the game against Togo on the 1st of June. Ade Emmanuel

Danycrusoe: Germany drew 0:0 with Mexico today. They will almost definitely beat Vanuatu. In this kind of competition where four 3rd best teams qualify for second round 4pts are usually enough. Germany and Mexico will make it to the next round. Talking about the Vanuatu goalie. I didn't watch their today's game but if today's goalie can be worse than the one that kept against Mexico, then..... I am speechless. It was that goalie I saw against Mexico that made me feel they will still lose by 6-8 goals in the group. Germany will also hammer them. Talking about Vietnam. I am not too surprised. Firstly because they are beginning to take football seriously of late. U have heard about a couple of our NPFL players traveling to go and play professional football in Vietnam. That makes their league at least more competitive. Secondly qualifying from Asia means they are no easy push overs. Mind you Australia and North Korea did not make it. Thirdly New Zealand. We know about how non-competitive the Oceanian federation is. A major reason why Australia pulled out. |

BascoVanVeli: This is why Iwobi is a highly valued player. You hardly have his kind of his age. How? I see Onyekuru in the like of Oxlade Chamberlain and Theo Walcott. The way Iwobi plays as a winger is very much different from how Onyekuru plays. So I believe Wenger,, depending on what style of play or formation he wants to adopt in a match or in the course of a match will know when or how to introduce Onyekuru and or Iwobi. I don't see Onyekuru's signing as a threat to Iwobi. Besides Iwobi also plays behind a striker as a Number 10. |

Icon4s: Sure Germany would make the knock out stages but I don't think they will get to the final. Venezuela x thru the knockout, Mexico has 4 points that's enough for knockout, unless there x a major upset Vanuatu won't draw Germany so that group x finalised, 3 teams are tru. vanuatu would v conceded 10 easily today Vietnam played NZ very hard yesterday they were straight n direct, strong on the ball, they unlucky not to score, their coach did something at Full Time when the players fell to the ground he shouted at them to get up he looked stern and more like a disciplinarian. Oceania should kukuma don't play ball again they kip on disgracing themselves, NZ don't look like they take football seriously. besides what do u think about Tomori's Own goal, it's kind of hilarious |

maidaboi: We hear of Onyekuru's name because he is a Nigerian. There are other top performers (from other countries) in the Belgian league too. Making the team of the season is a decent achievement for a 19 year old. Even gifted students misses out of the top prizes at times. 2 Likes |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by BascoVanVeli(m): 7:09pm On May 23, 2017 |
Icon4s: It could mean even less playing time. Iwobi has mainly played on the left wing and he has been finding it hard to get gametime behind Sanchez. Adding Henry who is also played on the left wing would make things complicated for Iwobi. If Wenger also keeps the 3-4-3 the 10 position would almost be out the window. |
