The Department of State Services has accused businessman and Chief Executive Officer of Capital Oil and Gas Ltd, Ifeanyi Ubah, of diverting about 80 million litres of Premium Motor Spirit (commonly called petrol), kept in his custody by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.

The agency stated that Ubah shunned NNPC’s repeated demand for the product said to worth N11bn in order to cause an artificial scarcity of the product.
It stated that Ubah’s action could plunge the country into widespread scarcity of PMS and economic chaos.
According to the agency, the act amounted to economic sabotage punishable by death.
These were stated in a counter-affidavit and written submissions filed by the DSS in opposition to an application by Ubah, asking a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Jabi, Abuja, to set aside an order for his detention for 14 days.
Justice Yusuf Halilu had granted the order to the DSS on May 10, 2017 allowing the agency to keep the suspect in custody for 14 days pending the completion of an ongoing criminal investigation against him.

DSS’s lawyer, Mr. G. Agbadua, told Justice Halilu on Tuesday that Ubah was plotting to plunge the nation into economic and social crisis by creating artificial scarcity of petroleum product .

The DSS’ counter-affidavit deposed to by one of the agency’s operative, Mr. Safwan Bello, stated, “The respondent (Ubah) was arrested on reasonable suspicion of his involvement in the commission of crime.
He converted PMS belonging to the NNPC kept in the custody of his tank farm to his personal use.

“The respondent refused to return the PMS to NNPC after repeated demands. The PMS is worth over N11bn. The action of the respondent is affecting the distribution of petroleum products to the populace.

“The action of the respondent is sabotage of NNPC’s activities as it relates to distribution of petroleum products. If not for the urgent steps taken by the Federal Government, the action of the respondent would have plunged the country into widespread scarcity with its attendant effect on the economy.”

He couldn't have done it alone.

As usual, he would have done it with co-conspirators from all the available cardinal points of this country, involving members of the NNPC, FG, PDP, APC, APGA, KOWA and other high ranking security personnel: Navy, Police, Army . . . DSS inclusive (these guys have got bond stronger than blood when it comes to sharing the booty).

P.S. To all those supporting saboteurs and the corrupt elite, jumping 'upandan' on top something you got no cut for, actually were shortchanged for, I will like to see where you bursted your lungs the same way when the below happened.

Judge, Jury and Executioner.

DSS disobeying court order whilst handing out death sentence as it deem fit in line with APC islamic manifesto to those it deems deserving of death.

If u think u have a case, bring him to court and do the right thing.

We know he was the brain behind GEJ TAN 2015 campaign and Buhari holds him responsible for losing Igbo vote.

If u harm a hair off the body of our son, u will know that an Aboki that have never given Igbo any vote have no business getting sentimental over losing the vote to a better candidate.

NNPC owns the Oil

NNPC is not coming out to ask for their Oil

NNPC is owing him more than that amount.

Since they don't want to pay

He decided to sell the Oil to recover debt owed him by NNPC

Why is DSS CRYING MORE THAN THE BEREAVED (NNPC)

Just that it's d selective nature of the arrests and prosecution that gets some of us very skeptical and dismissive of this corruption fight,if not what Ifeanyi Ubah did is truly pure economic sabotage.

the management of the Nigerian National
Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has asked four top
officials of the agency to leave over missing
petroleum scandal.

Premium Times reports that those asked to step
down are the Managing Director of the NNPC
Retail, Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue; the General Manager
(Operations) of NNPC Retail, Mamza Gwadabe; as
well as Ibrahim Bello, another official of NNPC
retail. The identity of the last person could not be

the Issue
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on Friday
announced measures to achieve full recovery of over 130 million
litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol,
stored in the facilities of two indigenous downstream operators,
MRS Limited and Capital Oil & Gas Limited, under a throughput
arrangement to ensure a robust strategic reserve.
Providing details of the act by the companies, Mr. Henry Ikem-
Obih, NNPC Chief Operating Officer, Downstream, told
journalists in Abuja that the infraction was discovered earlier in
the year when the Corporation had need to access the over 100
million litres of petrol stored at the Capital Oil & Gas depot for
NNPC Retail and just over 30 million litres in MRS Limited depot
all in Apapa area of Lagos.

He said so far, MRS has fully complied by returning the 30
million litres of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) that it expropriated
while the Corporation had not achieved much progress with
Capital Oil & Gas which was yet to return 82 million litres of
petrol, valued at N 11b, out of over 100 million litres which it
took.

if Dantata/Dangote MRS oil company could refund 62billion naira and
four top official of NNPC are sacked over the missing oil, why
would ifeanyi uba refused to pay his own 11billion naira, is it
because is an ibo man?
thanks to saraki the Senate president for exposing this fraud
and ask DSS to investigate and prosecute the offenders
