gabng: So why is the case not in court yet?, is DSS planning to execute him while in detention (Violation of his right)? If NNPC and DSS have a case against him, let them take him to court and let the NNPC and Capital Oil bring their books for verification and reconciliation. Keep running your mouth, one day someone close to you would be treated this way by the security agencies and you'll come to NL to make noise. Internet has memory, don't forget. 1 Like |

Originalsly:On d surface u make a point. But wen u for eg,u prosecute all former army/military chiefs, but doctor out that same probe report that indicts a Dambazzau,a former army chief, but now a cabinet minister, that's injustice. When ur current army chief cannot account for his wealth and properties in Dubai, which he himself admits to,but u fail to investigate or bring any charge against him, thats also corruption and injustice. When ur chief of Staff is severally being alleged to be involved in corrupt deeds and u pretend to b deaf, dumb and blind to those allegations, thats not fighting corruption.Etc. If u say let's wait till another govt comes to probe this, what if this one perpetuates itself in power for another 12 or more years as d PDP did, what happens to those stealing under dis govt during these long years? Corruption just like justice is fought dispassionately. When u allow sentiments, family, tribe or party affiliation determine how u dispense justice or fight corruption,u already losing d fight. It's that dispassionate fight Magu intended carrying out with d EFCC but is meeting stumbling blocs from people in power who feel part of the benefits or reward of being in power is freedom from investigation, arrest or prosecution. 1 Like 1 Share |

Babachir lawal diverted over 500 million belonging to IDPs, today he is walking free, he is not harassed by DSS, NPF or EFCC, but Ubah is an Igbo man, they must execute him for a breach of contract between Capital Oil and NNPC. However, Ubah did the right thing, if he waits for a federal government that violates human rights, disobeys court order, kill at will, he will not get his money back from NNPC. Let the case go to court and let the Judge decide. It's even funny, after this case, Ubah may dedice that NNPC would not use his tank farm again, we all know what the implication of this would be, Capital oil is strategic in location and capacity to take large quantity of products. Nigerians are watching and learning. 2 Likes |

Firgemachar: Please explain, how is this an economic sabotage. Do you know how much Ubah spent in building his tank farm, do you know how many banks that depends of that tank farm through loans and credits they granted to Capital Oil? Oh you think it's all about FG, you forgot that banks finance huge projects like Capital Oil, Dangote and they need their money paid back. So Ubah should fold his arms and allow the banks top liquidate his firm just because one NNPC that is run by fulanis have refused to pay up their debt. Listen, when you are faced with an enemy that can end your life, economy, business, happiness, it's better you strike first and very hard, then run before he regains consciousness. Ubah have stricken first, to save the life of Capital Oil, let the case go to court. 4 Likes |

This man, Ifeanyi Ubah is an inspiration. If a pharmacist who has government drugs in his custody at the hospital pharmacy is owed one month salary, he can simply sell the drugs and not remit money. After all, the government owes him. If by some stroke of fortune he belongs to the right ethnic group, people will defend him. They will argue that prosecuting agencies do not have a right to file appropriate charges in court. What's more, the agency dare not ask the court to remand the defendant in custody. Any attempt to do that will be interpreted as ethnic persecution. Btw did Cosmas Maduka ever recover the money he lost during a business dispute with this same actor? It is clear to all but the chronically delusional that there is a clear pattern to the way Ifeanyi does his business. 1 Like |

logica:Ubah found in petrol a weapon he feels he cuddled use to achieve political objectives and a power broker to dictate d affairs of Nigeria. It was also what he wanted to achieve with his 'rescue' gimmicks during d last petrol scarcity. He may come out of this, but ever since his 'DirectKerosene' sale days with d same NNPC,I have never had any doubt that Ubah is not d genuine bizman he claims to be. |

RALPHOW: Please stop this nonsense, what country? Is Nigeria a country, because people decide to stay resilient and hope in God for their daily bread does not mean you have a country. A country that is run by the likes of Buhari supported by buharideens will never see progress, it's not a curse, but as a man lays his bed so shall he sleep on it. Even a new born baby knows why Buhari is hell bent on holding Dasuki in custody for as long as he Buhari is alive, if Dasuki's offense is weighty enough and holds water, let them take him to a court and see how siiillllllly they sound. You people just come out here to talk without seeing what deep into the Nigerian political and battle for control in everything. They will try, but like a pack of card, they will all fail as long as they don't have a valid case against anyone being held in custody. 4 Likes |

In as much as Corruption has lead to the death of many Nigerians directly and indirectly the penalty for corruption is not death in Nigeria yet,so why would any sane person make this statement. Economic sabotage is not punishable by death in Nigeria and only a judge can pronounce a sentence sef. DSS and their double standard for the 5%. However, what Ifeanyi Uba did was wrong, let him refund the money. 2 Likes |

RALPHOW:You want me to show you numerous threads where tinubu is being defended in blatant acts of corruption by his afonja brothers.? As much as i wouldn't want to defend Ifeanyi Uba, but sorry, most of the people yapping on this thread like detribalized saints are deranged hypocrites. If Ifeanyi Uba a business man who tried to make a fast profit worth 11billion is worthy of the death penalty, then what do you expect the likes of tinubu who has hijacked the commercial Lagos and possibly the south-western commonwealth deserves? And the last time i checked, he is the an APC leader supposedly fighting corruption. Go through this thread and see how most of the diabolical afonjas shouting blue murder here are blatantly supporting a corrupt leader who has committed far worse economic crimes than Ifeanyi uba https://www.nairaland.com/2023792/inside-bola-tinubus-private-jet https://www.nairaland.com/3799947/photos-tinubu-acquires-another-private Only an idiot will not relatively support Ifeanyi Uba in the light of the above. Well, as they say no one is above the law, if its proven in court the said presumed accused person should be made to face the wrath of the law. It amounts to flagrant breach of trust and stealing. Lets all help to flush this people out of the system and make Nigeria great again. |

CAN YOU IMAGINE?!!!!!!!!! See lots and lots of jargon and rubbish submissions from Nigerian youths (who have been relatively reduced to almost nothing, in every sphere of life, when compared to youths in other nations of the world) When will you guys realize that it is time for us to start covering our faces (like Lady Justice) to whatever shape, colour, tribe, religion, etc corruption comes in and tackle it with the seriousness it deserves Yes, some people are walking free or seemingly untouchable but we MUST START FROM SOMEWHERE; ANYWHERE! We just have to! And Yes some will escape, some will beat the system but we must JUST DO IT! It is not possible to catch everybody that have stolen in Nigeria. When cleaning your room you start from one corner no matter how big your broom is or how powerful your vacuum cleaner is. You cannot clean it just with one swipe of the broom. Please reflect on Babangida's daughter wedding. Why do you think almost every "who is who" in Nigeria grace the occasion?!!! Reflect deeply on that. 1 Like 1 Share |
