@tintingz, it is quite obvious that you are now grasping straws I am sorry for that. You are arguing for the sake of remaining relevant to the discussion. Islamic discussion is NEVER a win or lose affair, it is to ascertain the truth. The problem is that you keep going against the so called logic and reasoning you believe in. To me, frankly speaking, you are unjust to your reasoning and to yourself. This is no longer logic and reasoning but rather, following of whims and desires. You keep evading questions and continue to shift the goal post. That's not how to discuss logically and I am afraid I won't be able to continue if you refuse to be sincere. tintingz: Lol, does primitive people knew how earth looks from the space? I can Google it out with just few seconds.
The more our intellect evolve the more things are invented to examine it. Agreed, the intellect is evolving. Why aren't other senses also evolving?? The eyes, ears, taste buds et al? Don't you think so?? tintingz:
Embryology was discovered by Aristotle before Islam came. Many scientists far more knowledgeable than you quite agreed that the description of embryology in the Quran can't be known by any man in 7th century and it is only possible that it has been divinely inspired. Dr. Keith Moore stated “For the past three years, I have worked with the Embryology Committee of King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, helping them to interpret the many statements in the Qur’an and Sunnah referring to human reproduction and prenatal development.
At first I was astonished by the accuracy of the statements that were recorded in the 7 century AD, before the science of embryology was established. Although I was aware of the glorious history of Muslim scientists in the 10th century AD, and some of their contributions to Medicine, I knew nothing about the religious facts and beliefs contained in the Qur’an and Sunnah.”
At a conference in Cairo he presented a research paper and stated: “It has been a great pleasure for me to help clarify statements in the Qur’an about human development. It is clear to me that these statements must have come to Muhammad from God, or Allah, because most of this knowledge was not discovered until many centuries later.
This proves to me that Muhammad must have been a messenger of God, or Allah.”
Professor Moore also stated that: “…Because the staging of human embryos is complex, owing to the continuous process of change during development, it is proposed that a new system of classification could be developed using the terms mentioned in the Qur’an and Sunnah.
The proposed system is simple, comprehensive, and conforms with present embryological knowledge. “The intensive studies of the Qur’an and Hadith in the last four years have revealed a system of classifying human embryos that is amazing since it was recorded in the seventh century A.D… the descriptions in the Qur’an cannot be based on scientific knowledge in the seventh century…”“It seems to me that Muhammad was a very ordinary man, he couldn’t read, didn’t know how to write, in fact he was an illiterate… We’re talking about 1400 years ago, you have some illiterate person making profound statements that are amazingly accurate, of a scientific nature… I personally can’t see how this could be mere chance, there are too many accuracies and like Dr. Moore, I have no difficulty in my mind reconciling that this is a divine inspiration or revelation which lead him to these statements.” Joe Leigh Simpson Professor Simpson was taken by surprise when he discovered that the Qur’an and Hadith contain verses related to his specialised field of study. When he met with Sheikh Abdul-Majeed A.Zindani, he insisted on verifying the text presented to him from the Qur’an and Hadith. “… These Hadiths (sayings of Muhammad) could not have been obtained on the basis of the scientific knowledge that was available at the time of the ‘writer’… It follows that not only is there no conflict between genetics and religion (Islam) but in fact religion (Islam) may guide science by adding revelation to some of the traditional scientific approaches There exist statements in the Qur’an shown centuries later to be valid which support knowledge in the Qur’an having been derived from God.”
Gerald C. Goeringer “…In a relatively few ayahs (Qur’anic verses) is contained a rather comprehensive description of human development from the time of commingling of the gametes through organogenesis. No such distinct and complete record of human development such as classification, terminology, and description existed previously.
In most, if not all instances, this description antedates by many centuries the recording of the various stages of human embryonic and fetal development recorded in the traditional scientific literature.” Yushidi Kusan Director of the Tokyo Observatory, Tokyo, Japan. Sheikh Abdul-Majeed A. Zindani presented a number of Qur’anic verses describing the beginnings of the universe and of the heavens, and the relationship of the earth to the heavens. He expressed his astonishment, saying that the Qur’an describes the universe as seen from the highest observation point, everything is distinct and clear. “I say, I am very much impressed by finding true astronomical facts in Qur’an, and for us modern astronomers have been studying very small piece of the universe. We have concentrated our efforts for understanding of very small part. Because by using telescopes, we can see only very few parts of the sky without thinking about the whole universe. So by reading Qur’an and by answering to the questions, I think I can find my future way for investigation of the universe.”
Tejatat Tejasen Chairman of the Department of Anatomy and is the former Dean of the faculty of Medicine, University of Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai, Thailand. Professor Tejasen studied various articles concerning the Qur’an and modern embryology. He spent four days with several scholars, Muslims and non-Muslims, discussing this phenomenon in the Qur’an and Hadith. During the 8th Saudi Medical Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia he stood up and said: “In the last three years, I became interested in the Qur’an… From my studies and what I have learned throughout this conference, I believe that everything that has been recorded in the Qur’an fourteen hundred years ago must be the truth, that can be proved by the scientific means. Since the Prophet Muhammad could neither read nor write, Muhammad must be a messenger who relayed this truth which was revealed to him as an enlightenment by the one who is eligible creator. This creator must be God, or Allah. I think this is the time to say La ilaha illa Allah , there is no god to worship except Allah (God), Mu h ammad rasoolu Allah, Muhammad is Messenger of Allah… The most precious thing I have gained from coming to this conference is La ilaha illa Allah, and to have become Muslim.”Reference: Moore, Keith L. and al-Zindani, Abdul-Majeed A., The Developing Human with Islamic Additions , Third Edition, W.B. Greek, Egypt were already practicing this before Islam came, the Greeks use astrology.
You should wonder how birthday of Jesus was fixed by romans.
Lol, Who's talking about dating or astrology?? Haaa Tintingz, I am talking about dates (dabinu). Read It was reported that Abu Moosa said: “I had a baby boy, and I brought him to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). He named him Ibraaheem, did Tahneek with some dates and prayed for Allaah to bless him, then he gave him back to me.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5150; Muslim, 2145).Tahneek means putting something sweet, such as dates or honey, in the child’s mouth when he is first born. What does science has to say just of recent? A dose of sugar given as a gel rubbed into the inside of the cheek is a cheap and effective way to protect premature babies against brain damage, say experts. Dangerously low blood sugar affects about one in 10 babies born too early. Untreated, it can cause permanent harm. Researchers from New Zealand tested the gel therapy in 242 babies under their care and, based on the results, say it should now be a first-line treatment. Their work is published in The Lancet. Dextrose gel treatment costs just over £1 per baby and is simpler to administer than glucose via a drip, say Prof Jane Harding and her team at the University of Auckland.

Does Quran also said mountains trigger earthquake?
You see again?? Just shifting goal post, this is not logic man. You just decided to turn a blind eye to undeniable truths. Even people knowledgeable and more vast in the field than you, bowed to the truth. Professor Siaveda Professor of Marine Geology, Japan. Sheikh Zindani asked him a number of questions in his area of specialisation, and then informed him of the Qur’anic verses and Hadith which mention the same phenomena he spoke of.
One of the questions was concerning mountains. Sheikh Zindani asked him about the shape of mountains; and whether they were firmly rooted in the earth. “What is your opinion of what you have seen in the Qur’an and the Sunnah with regard to the secrets of the Universe, which scientists only discovered now?” “I think it seems to me very, very mysterious, almost unbelievable. I really think if what you have said is true, the book is really a very remarkable book, I agree.tintingz:
This is still a debate if the earth is expanding or not. NASA published that the earth is not currently expanding. Using the 100-inch Hooker Telescope at Mount Wilson Observatory, Dr. Edwin Hubble has studied many spiral nebulae. He has discovered they are moving away from us at a rapid pace. This is strong evidence of an expanding universe. He has further determined that the farther the nebula, the faster it moves awa https://cosmictimes.gsfc.nasa.gov/online_edition/1929Cosmic/expanding.htmltintingz:
Sorry, all what you posted have been discovered before Islam came by early scholars and some are yet to be verified. Which earlier scholars?? Be sincere brother. Alfred Kroner said “Thinking where Muhammad came from… I think it is almost impossible that he could have known about things like the common origin of the universe, because scientists have only found out within the last few years with very complicated and advanced technological methods that this is the case.”
“Somebody who did not know something about nuclear physics 1400 years ago could not, I think, be in a position to find out from his own mind for instance that the earth and the heavens had the same origin, or many others of the questions that we have discussed here…
If you combine all these and you combine all these statements that are being made in the Qur’an in terms that relate to the earth and the formation of the earth and science in general, you can basically say that statements made there in many ways are true, they can now be confirmed by scientific methods, and in a way, you can say that the Qur’an is a simple science text book for the simple man.
And that [b]many of the statements made in there at that time could not be proven, but that modern scientific methods are now in a position to prove what Muhammad said 1400 years ago[/b ].tintingz:

lanrexlan: Protagoras vs. Euathlus
As an ancient story has it, Protagoras once took his student Euathlus to court. Euathlus became Protagoras’ student with a promise to pay half of his tuition fees in advance, and the second half once he would stand in front of the jurors and win his case. Once he had learnt the skills, as fortune would have it, he could not take on any cases. Some sources say that he would not take any cases in order to avoid paying the remainder of the fees. Protagoras decided to sue him for breach of contractual obligations. The interesting nature of this case is the paradox that arises as to the ruling.
Let us first hear the two sides as they plea their case.
Protagoras: “Let me tell you, most foolish of youths, that in either event you will have to pay what I am demanding, whether judgment be pronounced for or against you. For if the case goes against you, the money will be due me in accordance with the verdict, because I have won; but if the decision be in your favour, the money will be due me according to our contract, since you will have won a case.” (Aulus Gellius’ Attic Nights, Rolfe translation)
Euathlus: “So let me tell you in turn, wisest of masters, that in either event I shall not have to pay what you demand, whether judgment be pronounced for or against me. For if the jurors decide in my favour, according to their verdict nothing will be due you, because I have won; but if they give judgment against me, by the terms of our contract I shall owe you nothing, because I have not won a case.” (Aulus Gellius’ Attic Nights, Rolfe translation)
Tintingz, see the battle of logic and reasoning. Who won?? Both of them will abide to the terms of the contracts and verdicts. 1 Like |

lanrexlan: I have gone offline for a while, but on coming back and reading some posts of my brother, Tintingz I saw some things that caught my attention. He is sounding like an agnostic to me or am I missing something
Tintingz, please which books have you been reading of recent? Do you know believe that the brain/logic only is capable of leading one to the truth?
Please I am worried
Empiree, Albaqir, Rilwayne001, Sino Assalam alaykum lanre, Jazakumullah khayran for your concern about your brother, even offline, you are always keeping in touch. Tintingz is going through a phase, which I believe everyone at one point or the other would experience, but how you respond or react would definitely dictate the result. Generally speaking, doubts about faith (religion) and its attendant manifestations, are sometimes as a result of a much deeply rooted problem, sometimes emotional or psychological. Sometimes it might be as a result of the constant fight inside the person, between the accumulated desires and faith (religion). The desire to be free to act and do things which you believe the religion is hindering you from. I believe it is easier for a person to reach the truth if the person seeks answers sincerely and does not put on the garb of arrogance and definitely not being belligerent. All in all, we must keep praying Allah (SWT) guides us and not make us go astray ameen. 7 Likes |

I think this is the time to say La ilaha illa Allah , there is no god to worship except Allah (God), Mu h ammad rasoolu Allah, Muhammad is Messenger of Allah… The most precious thing I have gained from coming to this conference is La ilaha illa Allah, and to have become Muslim.”

There are many of such incidents. Lol, All these scientists you mentioned are pleasing the arabs, i can decide to lecture the chinese stating the uniqueness of their religion. You can see these scientist went to arab universities to lecture. They cant alter history or change history, early scholars like Aristotle has discovered embryology and he exited before Muhammed. Early physicians like Galen, Hippocrate also discover embryology with experiments, people knew about this long before Muhammed came and they didn't associate it with any divinity. As recently as the 18th century, the prevailing notion in western human embryology was preformation: the idea that semen contains an embryo – a preformed, miniature infant, or homunculus – that simply becomes larger during development. The competing explanation of embryonic development was epigenesis, originally proposed 2,000 years earlier by Aristotle.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EmbryologyThe first written record of embryological research is attributed to Hippocrates (460 BC–370 BC) who wrote about obstetrics and gynecology. In this regard Needham declares that Hippocrates, and not Aristotle, should be recognized as the first true embryologist. Hippocrates believed that the embryo began development by extracting moisture and breath from the mother and he identified a series of condensations and fires that were responsible for the development of bones, belly, and circulation in the embryo and fetus. He also supported the view that the human fetus gained nourishment by sucking blood from the placenta. Needham credits Hippocrates with being one of the first to allude to the concept of preformationism with the Greek physician’s belief that organisms were fully formed in miniature inside germ cells. This belief helped give rise to theological embryology or the idea that various souls entered the embryo as it grew.
The remainder of the first chapter examines the well-known observational science of Aristotle (384 BC–322 BC) and his responsibility for the continued growth of embryology.read more: https://embryo.asu.edu/pages/history-embryology-1959-joseph-needhamCan you tell those scientists to tell us the history of how embryology was discovered without pleasing the arabs? Lol, Who's talking about dating or astrology?? Haaa Tintingz, I am talking about dates (dabinu).
Read It was reported that Abu Moosa said: “I had a baby boy, and I brought him to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). He named him Ibraaheem, did Tahneek with some dates and prayed for Allaah to bless him, then he gave him back to me.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5150; Muslim, 2145).
Tahneek means putting something sweet, such as dates or honey, in the child’s mouth when he is first born.
Andy Cole, chief executive of premature baby charity Bliss, said: "This is a very interesting piece of new research and we always welcome anything that has the potential to improve outcomes for babies born premature or sick.

Don't you see Islam is always ahead? Stop denying your intellect brother, it's injustice to the brain. Oh sorry, mistook the "dates" you were talking about. Putting sugar in babies mouth that are prematurely born might be healthy but putting sugary liquids in babies mouth can cause tooth decay, hope you know that? Seriously Tintingz? Is this all you have gotten?? Am I talking about practice of breastfeeding or who taught animals how to breastfeed? This again shows that you are just having the dialogue for the sake of remaining relevant to the discussion.
Read yourself. http://www.who.int/topics/breastfeeding/en/ People have been given babies breastfeeding before Islam came how does it relate to divinity? oga oo. You see again?? Just shifting goal post, this is not logic man. You just decided to turn a blind eye to undeniable truths. Even people knowledgeable and more vast in the field than you, bowed to the truth. Tell these Arabs pleaser scientists you tell you the real truth instead.
I really think if what you have said is true, the book is really a very remarkable book, I agree. You said mountain stabilize the earth which the research are not yet certain reason because mountains are what that trigger earthquakes. Earthquake is part of natural disaster that have killed millions of humans for years, what is totally stabilize about it? can the Quran explain how earthquakes and mountains are working hands to hands? Using the 100-inch Hooker Telescope at Mount Wilson Observatory, Dr. Edwin Hubble has studied many spiral nebulae. He has discovered they are moving away from us at a rapid pace. This is strong evidence of an expanding universe. He has further determined that the farther the nebula, the faster it moves awa
https://cosmictimes.gsfc.nasa.gov/online_edition/1929Cosmic/expanding.html i have modified my response here, thought it was earth. Now concerning the expansion of universe this has been a cosmology experiment dated before Muhammed came. Read Wikipedia about early people that studied the universe before Islam came: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CosmologyWhich earlier scholars??
And that [b]many of the statements made in there at that time could not be proven, but that modern scientific methods are now in a position to prove what Muhammad said 1400 years ago[/b ]. I dont know why these scientist you mentioned are not telling the arabs the truth. Lol Was there Islam during Aristotle, Plato, Galen, Hippocrate etc to name the few? It's clear, animals, plants and other beings aside mankind and Jinn had been created to help mankind and Jinn attain success in this life and hereafter. To realize the purpose of existence. Allah has endowed man and Jinn with intellect and this made them superior over other creations. Plants and animals are living being on their own. One question, are humans special than plants and animals? |

Assalam alaykum lanre, Jazakumullah khayran for your concern about your brother, even offline, you are always keeping in touch.
You're talking as if people don't do research and leave the faith. Ask a christian converts why he/she left Islam, and the response will be "oh i converted to Christianity because it is the truth", same goes to every converts in religion. |

So no use that your acclaimed brain and answer those questions All living things started as an organism then from their to species to another form of species and it goes on like that till humans and other living creatures came to be, science are still discovering new creatures/species till date. Since humans evolve from an organisn then to specie, we might be having one eye, two, three, four, five or no eyes at all. Human Baby fetus is an example, the eyes is not well visible, there is tail and it looks like a reptilia and aquatic creature. |

Using my brain doesn't mean i should not acquire knowledge or seek for knowledge and reason with it. How do you know the first man was created from clay and lived in a garden with a woman that was created from his small rib? @tintingz, I am afraid I won't be able to continue. Like seriously, Arab pleasers? So why 'pleasing' the Arabs, some even abandon their religion and they are still Arab pleasers ? Does the location matters? Did they swallow their findings after living Arabia? You wish to see what you want to and you wish to process and accept whatever please you and not what is logical. What brought up the issue of me quoting those scientists is when you made a claim that the intellect is evolving and that's why we are having technological advancements in the world today. I simply countered your claim that if it took intellect and scientists more than 1400 years to discover some divine truths present in the Qur'an, who could have mentioned all those things in the Qur'an more than 1400years ago if not for the creator of intellect Himself? Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) That's my point brother and you resorted to call people who bowed to the truth when it came to them as 'Arab pleasers'. You still call that logic and reasoning or being stubborn towards the truth? I refrained from replying all your claims like that one on Embryology (I never claimed there wasn't research on embryology before Muhammed came), the one on expansion of the universe (You went on to give me the history of cosmology, what's the correlation Did I say there wasn't cosmology before Islam?) and your claims. The argument will just be rounding circles and flogging a dead horse and I don't really the luxury of time). May Allah perfect our affairs. May Allah rectify yours and everyone's affairs and make our feet firm on the straight path and never lead us astray. (Ameen) |

The fact that what the Quran or hadith said about discoveries was already discovered by people before Islam came shows it is not different from every other books. People that existed before Islam already know about embryology, expansion of universe(cosmology). the spherical of earth etc. Have you read about the experiments of cosmology by early scholars? Aristotle, Galen, Plato, Ptolemy, Hippocrate to name the few discovered many things long before Quran and Hadith came, non of them were called prophets or associate their work to divinity.
