"I want our own country right now, not even later today," says Gure from her Bara-Arabu village, 10 kilometres south of Mombasa, donning a vibrantly colored jilbab, the common coastal dress for females. "The MRC is not advocating violence but the government will bring it. If there is violence we will respond with violence. We can't leave our people to suffer like that." As Gure flashes her MRC membership card, featuring her name next to the MRC's palm-tree-emblazoned logo, she rants about endemic land theft, resource exploitation and employment discrimination, orchestrated by government agencies and prominent Kenyans from inland areas. The villagers nod in universal agreement, periodically chiming in to defend her claims. In remote, underdeveloped areas of the 500-kilometre stretch of Kenyan coast, such as Bara-Arabu, the MRC's skyrocketing popularity is matched only by a pervasive distaste for the Kenyan government. "We are 100 per cent positive we can lead this country," says 52-year-old Bara-Arabu villager Abdullah Chidundu. "Once when have independence and our resources, we can take over governing the coast."

Your love is not in doubt, but rather your culture. We would love to know you guys better, perhaps through the arts and media. Tell your own stories, your history, translate them to English and French so we could watch, and It would be a pleasure. Stories like queen of sheba, her relationship with Ethiopia, Yemen and Solomons' Israel. Your kingdom in the time of Alexander, your squabbles with ltaly, your beautiful ladies, fashion, etc. Not to lie to you, I hardly give a damn about the past. All I care is whether people are willing to come together to build an African Empire. |

Hbuyosh: Tribalism is rife in Kenya, and it would get dangerously worse in the run- up to the presidential electons, like now.
The reason for the violence that erupted after the 2007 elections which left 1300 dead. The worst violence in our history. Kenya is a funny country. You only realize how fragile it is after five years. Then everything goes back to normal. |

The group is non existent now and it was actually an affiliate of Al Shabaab. Many of their radical Sheikhs are dead now. Mysteriously of course. One of the reasons for going to war in Somalia was taming radical groups such as MRC. The Shabaabs were spreading their tentacles very rapidly to Kenya and this MRC was their biggest wheel. They wanted a chaotic coast, a haven for their terror activities (Mombasa, Malindi, Diani et al.). 2 Likes

what does it tell u ?
its industry and services r running on epileptic power supply , stupidity has its limits.according to NEW WORLD WEALTH as of 2015 Mumbai is home to 45000 millionaires and 28 billionaires with a total wealth of 820 billion dollars. yes there r certain areas where it is dirty, and so r London, New York, Paris etc so u saying Mumbai is a dirty slum is a height of bigoted and stupid OSTRICH attitude. as for Indian power generation, FACTS TO OPEN UR IGNORANT EYE 1.India is the world's third largest producer and fourth largest consumer of electricity. 2.The utility electricity sector in India has one National Grid with an installed capacity of 329.20 GW (as of 30 April 2017). [1 GW= one billion watts] 3.As of 31 March 2017, 99.25% of 597,464 villages in India are electrified and finally for a country of large size with varied climate, geography and some amount of human mismanagement , there will be impact on final distribution to the end users. Inadequate last mile connectivity is the main problem due to human mismanagement , local political interference , dynamic factors like climate / terrain , but the fact remains that the idling generation capacity of Indian power plants can supply three times the domestic electricity needs (nearly 80 billion KWh) of the people who do not have access to electricity due to the above reasons. supplying electricity to 1.2 billion people spread over 3,287,263 square km (7th largest country) over mountains plains deserts snow bound regions jungles etc is no joke . unless you or the country of whom you are a citizen has done better, u don't have the right or the audacity to demean/slander the achievements of other countries.a dirty place can be cleaned up eventually , but a dirty mind will always remain a dirty mind. a good man/woman will never demean other countries in order to praise his/her country. it is a matter of good education , upbringing and a good personal character my last post here many good people r here but stupid people like u dont make it worth my time here. i always take pleasure in the achievements of other countries , their negativities is not my business , which is the matter of concern for the respective citizens of the said countries only. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

We're 20-25 million worldwide, we're not that many. The populations outside of Somalia has been increasing steadily, what's holding us back are the terrorists massacring people and causing famines in the vital fertile regions. As soon as we manage to kick those out, our population will skyrocket.
Tbh our problem has never be a religious one. It has always been clannism/tribalism and the nepotism that comes with it. (Hypothetically speaking) Perhaps ruling a multi-ethnic country would change all of that. That was the figure over 10 years ago. I suspect it's bigger too. May be in Somalia and Ethiopia where there is abit of a disturbance. Kenyan Somalis have been at rest. It may cause the Somalis to look at themselves as one and needing each other, which they will have to do to get those votes for their candidate, and most likely, be in league with another major tribe in terms of population. 1 Like |
