using our oyel money to develop d north at d expense of d degradation of our environment.I have been to the North severally and d national monuments that are there are numerous, amazing and under-used.Wy d golden hen dat lays d eggs surfers. Each state in d north has at least 3 beautiful cities one can be proud of but come to south, only d state capital and some people will say North is not developed. For instance,in Kaduna state, they have Kaduna,Zaria, kafanchan etc which are beautiful cities that even Yenegoa which is d only beautiful city in d oil producing state can not withstand them.Same with d Igbos and yorubas.Pls stop saying d north is not developed,u can never compare infrastructure there with d south,we have been marginalised.

ok....

Interesting to note that 5 of them are in the North.

So why aren't these State generating revenue from them?

It's high time States start developing themselves, instead, they wait for oyel money...

Insecurity and all sorts of religious crises will not let tourism thrive in the north. Sadly.
Hopefully something will be done to bring back sanity

Tourists will be too scared to go there. There's also the fear of getting kidnapped as a foreigner in Nigeria

There are beautiful places and untapped tourist centers in Nigeria with long stretches of exotic beaches, lush mountains, well preserved tradition and culture.

LubeyNaija presents you 7 great places in Nigeria you probably didn’t know about.

1. Gashaki-Gumpti National Park located in Taraba state, Nigeria.

There are many tourism destinations in Northern Nigeria but poor tourism ideas and Boko haram activities has made it impossible for people to get acquinted with these tourist sites.
I also don't think Northern Nigerian indigenes are open and receptive to tourist and tourism business.
They need to be progressive minded!

There is no mention of Agbokim water falls in Cross river state.
I saw a documentary on the waterfalls on Nta and i was really impressed, just like one of the tour guides in the docu,a developed tourism sector can drive the economy of the host community.
Unfortunately, the govt doesn't really invest in tourism.
Ask Egypt, Israel and India etc,how much they are making out of tourism! It is a big business in the developed world. Smh!
