Hahahahaha sent in error but we paid five hundred naira to fill that form now it was sent in error ... May their lives be full of error .

don't know if they were bluffing, but they insist that after this year. people without degrees in education wont find it funny.

How can a teacher feed his family and other family dependants and still have some cash left to further his or her education? they are jocking, it is always like that.

Ever since we got the job in 2013, there've been threatening challenges on yearly basis.First, it was that the state assembly wanted to hijack the recruitment process but in the long run, things went naturally. Secondly, it was that Amaechi had recruited 13k teachers and yet they won't be paid. Thirdly, that Wike has come, therefore 13k would be sacked. Just last year, so many persons were not paid for approximately 7 months and there was the rumour they won't be paid again. Now we are in the 4th year since we started the job and yet another threat has resurfaced. Next year will come with its challenge. Plz relax, try to manage these yearly challenges. None will affect you.

For you to be a teacher you should have an education qualification ... Stop this mentality of "i don't care" I bet you one day you will say had I known. Go and get qualified to avoid issues in the future if you still want to be in the education sector and progress in it.

Human wants are many but the scarce means always a bottleneck. One thing is sure, the trending news is that teachers needs teachers' professional certificates. Its a national requirement not peculiar to only Rivers state. So upgrading is right, no long statement.

Teachers without qualification in education will not be sacked.
My source has it that they will not be promoted again.
If you are in level 8/2 you will remain in 8/2 until you have a degree in education.
Nobody will be sacked for not having a degree in education.

I have a bachelor's degree in education so don't think I'm being sceptic.

Do not be perturbed with Feb/March arrears. Anytime that they do pay, it will enlarge your coast. Remove your mind from that, it must come unexpectedly.

NTI school fees is 56k n there re oda fees u will pay but dt will b during registration @ dia office .for me I prefer NTI to NOUN,so u can go for NTI

The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) yesterday said that presentation of certificates and degrees would no longer suffice for teachers’ registration.
The TRCN Director, Professional Operations, Dr Steve Nwokeocha, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that teachers would now write professional qualifying examinations.
“Teachers will no longer get registered by mere presentation of their certificates, but they will have to write professional examination.
“Teachers are to resume professional qualifying examinations, and the models are being developed and finalised,’’ he said.
Nwokeocha said the council was developing a standard syllabus as a professional body and would present it to stakeholders like National Universities Commission, among others, for validation.
According to him, once it is validated, we will set a date for the examination, and from there henceforth, there will be no registration without an examination.
He said that in 2008, a pilot examination was written and over 50,000 candidates wrote the examination in all states of the federation.
The director said this would be the second edition of the examination, adding that the first was experimental and recorded huge success.
He said that the council collaborated with the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in the first edition, stressing that it was written in the same manner that JAMB was written.
Nwokeocha said about 25,000 out of the 50,000 teachers that wrote the examination failed and this was reflective of the quality of training that they were getting.
“We had to suspend the pilot examination because the council did not have a syllabus at that time.
“And people asked that a few more things like a model, among others, should be put in place before the examination will be conducted again,’’ he said.
He said that the council had done its research and had developed a standard model, syllabus among others.
He added that the examination would be written twice yearly and that the council was making efforts to ensure standard and quality in the system.
