68816419:Yes! In order to meet the demand for stable electricity in Kenya the government had to look for alternative sources of powering the countries growing demand for electricity. The Kenyan government has also approached the Ethiopian government on its intention to outsource more power from its neighboring country to meet the demand on the national grid. Currently the government embarked on a national electricity infrastructure construction from alternative energy sources.... 1. Ol Karia geothermal plant 300MW. It is a joint Kenya-Japanese funded project & the biggest in the world. 2. Turkana wind power farm 200MW capacity is the biggest in Africa partly funded by the world bank & KENGEN 2 Likes

genieluv:am aware of the student bursaries which does noy exceed 20.000 naira and that is if you are from lagos state the highest in nigeria. I may be prone to mistake due to latest update. What am saying here is student loan that cover school fees and book cost even if you are a student of convenant uni. the health insurance policy is poor. it doesnt cover non govt worker. even govt worker holding it are not benefiting from the full potential. there is a case of a family friend of mine who works as a staff in futa. She had an accident and took her her health insurance card to the state hospital due to non payment of salary. She was unable to recieve medical care care becuse the card was not recognized. Am currently in erding. Am a nigeria and at the same time a ghanian. |

Kenyanstar: Genieluv, Is like posting pictures of Abuja, Lagos, portharcourt, akwa ibom, Calabar etc and make the world believe that is how Nigeria looks like. Kenya's beauty is just in some part of Nairobi and Mombasa but that doesn't mean most parts of Kenya look like that. Kenya's GDP per capita just crossed $1000 despite the small population and that should speak a lot. When you said standard of living is high is Kenya I just laughed silently. On education, Kenyanstar was claiming free education and almost free University fees. Do you know most public universities still pay less than N19,000 as school fees for a whole session? That's less than $50 per year. What else do we call free education? |
Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by iblawi(m): 5:39am On May 28, 2017 |
vaxx: You are truly not a Nigerian. Some students get bursary of over N250,000. Northerners even get more since they have fewer students. Many state government send students abroad for post graduate studies and the pay everything including their feeding. Even at N20,000, that is still enough to pay more than half of the school fees if not all. |

iblawi:Stop lying bro.... Can you atleast have the decency not to blatanly lie on such a public forum. Which public university in Nigeria offers any education at such a rate while the admission system itself is corruption personified. About Kenya being about Mombasa & Nairobi, we have posted here severaly pictures of Kisumu city, Nakuru & Eldoret towns which contains almost a third of Kenyan populace. You can refer back to any post in this thread in regards to this misplaced untruths. 1 Like |

Kenyanstar: My brother is currently schooling in ATBU( Abubakar Tafa Balewa University) and he pays less than 20,000 as school fees. My girlfriend finished from UniBen and the last school fees she paid was N19,000. There are many Nigerians here who can testify to this. Many state own universities that pay a little higher than federal Universities. |

Kenyanstar: That still didn't prove me wrong. I mentioned the name of a schools and quoted the amount they pay and you brought another name with different amount. Well, has I early claimed N20,000 bursary is still more than enough to pay half of N33,000. 33,000 - 20,000= N13,000. |

I don't know any school called TASUED. You are free to modify post as you wish but it won't change fact on ground. School fees in most public universities is within the range of $50 - $100 for federal schools and $100 - $200 for state owned school. That is more like administration charges and not school fees |

iblawi:You ofcos. My collegues and I have posted loads of pictures of the other major Kenyan towns. Just because u dont know (or pretending not to) about the other Kenyan cities doesnt mean that they do not exist.. An average Kenyan may only be able to mention two or four major cities in Nigeria or Ghana, but in their thinking, should that mean that they are the only towns available in those countries? This is the town of Kisii, ranked 28 largest town in Kenya |
