Your name is MR ND SPOKESMAN? grin

Lol.
My problem with many of them is when they feel that they have been given the right to speak for minorities. Even Yoruba that has obvious ties with Itsekiri much more than Igbo has with any group in the SS doesn't speak for them. Yorubas could claim Itsekiri and say all sorts and still have a better claim than Igbos do to the SS but they aren't because they realise the need for groups to seek out their own identities.

I only hope South Easterners would do the same. Leave the SS alone! No one made you big brother or mouthpiece for the over 10 ethnic groups in the region.

Restructuring , the type Ndiigbo clamour and that Ohanaeze tabled is not feasible in Nigeria presently or in the nearest future, understanding this is the beginning of clarity.

The Northern military junta through proliferation of states up North had made restructuring of Nigeria through democratic process impossible, as they would always use their superior numerical representation in the NASS to frustrate any such move.

The feasible route to restructuring of Nigeria is outright disintegration, with mutual consenting fragments coming together to negotiate terms and conditions for new political unions as equal partners under mutual agreement.

I am well aware of the phobia some groups have for Ndiigbo and Biafra in the SS, and thats exactly why I think including them in the Biafra agenda, like Ipob is doing is not pragmatic but is rather injurious to the Biafran agitation.

Above all you guys should not keep quiet. If Buhari (and I voted for him) was a wise man he would at least have (or delegated someone to) called Nnamdi Kanu and say 'Bia, Nwoke, what is it, tell me, let me at least understand your position'. Instead like a Draco he arrested the young man. But the Federal Government called for negotiations and negotiated with the butchermen, those soulless fiends in the North called Bokoharam.

HOWEVER
If you guys cry now and leave off the tempo IF Buhari is not re elected I will know you guys are a bunch of idiots, untrustworthy hypocrites and clowns worse than cowards.
For Biafra I say don't stop now, You guys should just..

Anti-Igbo sentiment is rising up again amidst the minority tribes, the "Igbo expansionism" air is blowing in their mentality now.

Can't Igbos stand on their own as a country, why disturbing others?

Laughable.

So you know that this is not 1914 but you are still thinking like someone in bondage. What designate body can speak for Urhobos more than Urhobos themselves via referendum?
Urhobos will declare their independence? How are they going to do that? No minority can declare independence, you simply dont have the numbers to enforce it. Only any one of the 3 majorities can do this.

As for forming a confederation with any other ethnic group, that is pipe dream while you are still in Nigeria. Same goes for restructuring. In simple terms, any ethnic nationalities that chooses to stay in Nigeria have the right to do so but they should be aware that the consequence is total Northern domination.

The Biafran referendum is coming and it will be conducted in the area known as SE/SS and some parts of the lower Benue.

This referendum will be a once in a life time thing, it is not likely to ever happen again. I have no doubt that my Igbo nation including the Western Igbos sometimes known as Anioma, will all vote to go. If you thought that the minorities have been unfairly treated, just wait till Igbos go.

Urhobos have not asked for a referendum and until such a time as when we ask, keep your struggles within your enclave. We are not mute! We know exactly what we want and how to get it.

You say Urhobos cannot be a nation and yet you are hoping for Biafra to be one. Can't you see why God will make your dream futile? Urhobo is a group with over 2million persons, not even counting those outside the region. We have the human resources, natural resources and wherewithal to be a sufficient nation. We are not under the hegemony of any group so you can't tell us whether we can or can't be a nation. That is pure evil and one of the reasons Urhobos will never go the way of Igbos or Biafra. Yorubas would never say what you just did. There are nations that have smaller landmass and population than Urhobo yet are thriving as countries (e.g. Lesotho and Swaziland).

Urhobo can choose to align with any group whatsoever. We've aligned with Yorubas and Hausas in the past and it favoured us. In the case of a new nation, we'd choose Oodua ten times over before Biafra even becomes an option. Oodua won't throw our minority status at our face like you Igbos always do. Just take a cue at Yoruba-Itsekiri relations and you'd see why we prefer them.

Finally, no referendum will hold on Urhobo soil because we didn't ask for one. You can limit your referendum to your Igboid groups. Who gave you the right to impose a referendum we didn't ask for on us? Will you force us to vote? You think we don't have leaders to do our biddings? We have current and past Senators, House of Rep members, Governors, Ministers, etc, and they will demand whatever we want for us. For now, what we want is Nigeria, a restructured one, and we will get it because Oghene is involved. Urhobo is the most populous ethnicity in Delta State and we know exactly how to get whatever we want.

So take your pity party elsewhere and leave Urhobo nation alone. We say no to Biafra and Igbo imperialism!

Look at the way he entered into the fray with the swagger of thunders popping all over him, with the flourish of lights going before him, blinding his adversaries, making them scurry like befuddled rats back into their cramped holes. Ogun, Sango and Eshu (the sly trickster of a god) descended with him.

GodisBiafran had long been hornily calling for him in the provocative way most sex starved women do. She (abi he, even if he is a he, psychologically he is a SHE! ) called and called, swaying her curvy hips, languidly shaking her turgid waist, voluptuously flashing her full, high breasted chest with provocative lust and suggestive, sinful dare in her hungry, raunchy eyes.

AkinPhysicist, the afonja terror waited, ohhh, like a true warrior he waited for her to get to a good, feverish pitch. Then suddenly he came down, pounced on her expertly with the devilry and cunning nimbleness of Amalinze the Cat, he clamped her down firmly, brushed her vigorously here, gave her a potent and very crucial thrust there, there again, again, again, squeezed her, rumpled her. She cried with crude, godless delight like a happy pagan, she moaned rapidly, desperately grasping for breath. She bursted into a thousand orgasms like supernovas on a dark night, streams of water gushed forth from her convulsing body like the waters of Ukwu-nnegi dam, she saw stars and touched the heavens and meekly entered into her peace.

A cursory look at my posts can tell a casual observer that at the very least I'm sympathetic to the Igbo, if Biafran cause.

That said, frathermathy, any sane person would see your grouse with the post you based your own post on, and not have an issue with your allegiance to your Urhobo heritage, which of course is what the essence of being Nigerian (at least the way I understand it) is.

However, from your posts here I deduce that you're an intellectual, or if not a very intelligent person, and my own grouse with you is that you should have seen that the original write up was done by a semi-literate individual (whose ilk seems to be the stock in trade of many an online forum nowadays), and thus not ideally representative of the Biafran struggle. That you gave it the attention it does not deserve is testified to in the calibre of characters your initially sane thread attracted, and what it finally became.

evilunitybeggars godisbiafran you guys are loose cannons obviously.

You have made sense. You see, the aim of this thread was just to set records straight and this aim was precipitated by the uncouth statements made by some IPOB youths online. Many of them spread a form of thwarted image of my people and the Biafran struggle. I have been trying to correct that impression for a while now and the plea served as a conduit for that to be done once more. When you remind someone over and over again of your allegiances, they may learn to accept it and move on but sadly, many of them do not and still go around spreading more falsity.

It's just saddening that this thread has been hijacked by "loose canons".

Because you people through your actions, gave them mouth.
Why should a well breast fed Igbo man be including Isokos and Urhobos in Biafra just because he has few Urhobo friends that are happy with Biafra? Where is the place of wisdom, how far is places like Abraka, Ughelli, Sapele fro Onitsha? Cant these people take a simple trip to these places and see the Igbophobia these people( their commoners) are swimming in, why have our people decided to be this dumb? How hard is it to read up on the negative roles these people played in Biafra 1967 ?

Please, our Igbo youths should stop attracting these sort of ignorance driven disgrace to Ndiigbo, what sort of nonsense is this,I am really pissed off, someone needs to call these guys to order.
My brother, this is very shameful. I don't understand their despiration. Are these guys really Igbos? Are you sure they are not masking their real identity to attract mockery and hostility to the Igbo nation? I'm just thinking undecided Nobody in his right sense, in this time and order will force an entire ethnic group to a movement they don't subscribe to. If these are truly the so called IPOB members, then the organization is messed up already.

Urhobo Progressive Union (UPU) is above politics. It was organised by the foremost Urhobo nationalist, Mukoro Mowoe and has always served the interest of the Urhobo since the 1920s. Whatever UPU says is ratified by all Urhobo polities because we follow a duly democratic process of decision making. The UPU PG of every clan represents such clan in this process and every clan gets to vote on decisions before they are finally voted upon by the UPU NEC, much like the American Electoral College system.

So as you can see, UPU doesn't come out to make blanket statements to force all Urhobos into something. They make well-thought statements after proper consultations. While it is true that politics cannot be separated from unions such as this, rest assured that their primary allegiance is to the Urhobo people and they serve our interest effectively.

If we want a referendum or anything, the whole world will hear it from UPU and if UPU doesn't even say it, we have thousands of Urhobo leaders, monarchs and what-have-we that can speak out.

Great insight as usual. However as regards the highlighted, I would encourage you to curb your enthusiasm and refer to the The Willink Minorities Commission of 1958.
I'm conversant with the willink commission report, i am.well aware of the misgivings towards the Igbo from Akwa cross areas, however its nothing pathological and that cant easily be resolved, its nothing as close to what we have in Urhobo/Isoko area, a loose confederation with groups from those ( Akwa cross )axis, after we have gotten Biafra would work.

But as always, and as represented in my signature, an Igbo only country remain the best option for us.

Your last paragraph and last sentence is why I support the agitation. Nigeria as it is now is an abstract, faceless death machine guzzling souls like a demented maniac. We are all in pains Bro. That's why it's important that we talk rather than curse each other. Is this how a country should be?
I am old now but still no light, no good roads, no health care facilities, no basic infrastructure, our cities are shit holes, the nation has no direction and has never had a direction, everything is in shambles. Good land, bad people Yes we are a bad people, spiritually immature and unrefined people.

'There is basically nothing wrong with the Nigerian weather, or soil. The trouble with Nigeria is simply LEADERSHIP'. That is the first sentence in Chinua Achebe's 'The Trouble with Nigeria' collected essays published in the 80's.

Yes, Achebe, it's leadership but no longer only leadership. The leaders have corrupted us for so long and now we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Nigeria.

But the good news is that if we want, yes if we want(since man has the divine power to change his story) we can write a new story for this country.

I tell you my people, I hate politicians. Go through history, Rome, Greece, America, you will find out that politicians have never developed a single nation on this earth. Only Statesmen, visioneers and practical dreamers have lifted nations from the murk of poverty and set them on the road of prosperity and national wellbeing.

We are cursed with politicians. They are a blight and a cancer to this nation, a horde of ravaging locusts who have despoiled this nation, stolen our commonwealth, bunch of knaves who have mastered the perversity of butt fvcking us time and time again, mischievous bastards who hit our heads with the bricks of tribalism and religion but clink glasses, toast wines and drink to their enjoyment at their conventions, weddings and social events while we go kill and destroy each other. They are madmen but we are idiots.
Politicians who have reduced leadership to chop- I - chop. I readily concede that I am not righteous and knowing this country i doubt any one truly is. They have corrupted all of us with chop- I - chop ideology, with cutting corners and with impunity We are all stained. All of us. God will not help us. He will not. He is not in the habit of helping Nations. We must do it ourselves. How I wish it was US against them without discrimination of tribe or religion. Them for see blood. But unfortunately and to their luck we are idiots, fools divided by religion and ethnicity.

Akin wehdone sir you have achieved your goals once again. Now, did it contribute one naira into your account? What a sad little man you are.

@fratermathy,If the aim of this thread was to disassociate from biafra, why did you create it with a ridiculous title?
