After is better in my opinion. Let her clock the age first, no idea if it would make a difference but why take the risk? Giddyperson: 1 Like |

Good morning mamas. Abeg when do I start to worry with immunization fever? Usually my baby's mood picks up by the next morning although his body is still warm till the next evening. This one pass me. His temp is now 38.5 and he's still cranky and clingy. Been doing sponge baths with lukewarm water and paracetamol but I checked now and 38.5 fear me. To chill or go to the hospital? Cc Sugah, Zaynie, feddy27, jazzyjazz, whoever else is online and can help |

We are 6 months today..... Yaaaay!! So last night I gave her pureed avocado....u need to see her facial expression when she took the 1st 3 spoons. Epic!!! But after like 6 - 7 spoons, she started smiling and rushing it.... Lol Pls o, when making cereals must I follow the preparation as stated on the tin. My DD doesn't eat so much at once, she'll rather eat lil bits at regular interval than a whole meal at once. Do I just use my discretion? Happy Sunday mama's! hunniesuzie: After my son's 14th week immunization, he had a fever for 2 days. He was cranky and clingy. I didn't go to the hospital. But I called one of the nurses that works at the hospital that I use (she was the one that delivered ilan), she told me not to fret that it would go. If you're not comfortable with the rise in temperature then you can go back to the hospital |

enque: Use your discretion unless u want to be pouring food away, little by little does it, u increase it based on your baby's intake. |

Sansa143: Going early is for your own good since its a general hospital, so as to be the first set they will attend to. Speaking from experience. |

hunniesuzie: 38.5 is quite high. How long ago did you give the pcm? Don't be tempted to give a cold shower. Don't please. Remove his clothes and allow breeze or AC to blow him, keep using the lukewarm water and be watchful. If in 2 hours after using pcm temperature refuses to go lower please go to the hospital. |

hunniesuzie: I quite agree with u, the 14th week is more serious, when my dd took the 6th and 10th week, I was watching out for d fever I did not see just d normal pain on the injected area, by the next day, she was fine. But this 14th week we went for last Thursday, really weighed her down, she was just cranky and moody all through till the next day with a mild fever. |

hunniesuzie: Yes o! 6th and 14th week immunization is always hard on them. Just like mummy Zaynie said, expose him to air too. That's what I did for ilan. I removed his clothes and I let AC touch him. 1 Like |

Thanks Mamas. I gave him another dose of pcm at 11:30 (he took the last one at 4:30), sponged him down and left him in diapers like you suggested. I also noticed his nose was congested a bit so i dropped some silverbird on his bib and put it round his neck (read this a few pages back) Temp is now 37.7 and he's playing a bit now. Will observe him till evening sha. Cc zaynie, dexterush, jazzyjazz, chychy4us, enque 2 Likes |

Na wa oo!!! I quoted some mama here and I can see they are responding to others. Is it like that now? I simply asked a question though I have used google but I just want a first hand experience that's why I am asking. It seems this page has turned to who knows who. Just saying though. Here is my question again: Please mama in the house, I have a question that has been bothering me for a while. How long should someone dispose a baby bottle to buy another one whether bpa free or not? |

Happy half birthday to your baby @enque, how time flies. |
Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by helovesme(f): 1:23pm On May 28, 2017 |
Akorkor: Except a bottle is damaged or the markings on it (to indicate ml or oz) has erased, there is no reason to dispose a bottle. Bottles have been passed on from one baby to another and I have seen cases where a mum that's done with child bearing gives out her used bottles to a mother in need. This is why it is important to invest in quality and genuine bottles right from the very first baby a woman has. On the long run, it's very economical. 2 Likes |

When u say baby bottle do u mean feeding bottle? Shd it be, usually most moms don't replace the bottles if it's still okay they just replace the upper part that is where baby suck frm dunno d name. But if u feel there's a need for replacement why not no one can decide wen u need to change ur baby's bottle cus u are d one using it u knw wen it's bad or not, if u feel there's a need for change even tho it's perfectly okay it's ur call. Akorkor: I used avent too and they are still in excellent condition including the teats and covers. Take good care of them by washing them with a different sponge (do not use the same sponge for washing dishes to wash your baby's bottles) and sterilise them with hot water. Personally I'm not a fan of tablet or liquid sterilising fluid. I use electric steam steriliser. |

Akorkor: I wee slap your bonbom now o When I notice discoloration, I change bottles. It's the teat I change more often. |
