You should as a matter of courtesy apologize for that line you littered up there. Be careful how you thread. [/s]

grin grin grin LOL So fratermathy is now an afonja - if Igbos are this crazy tell me who will want to join you in Biafra? grin grin grin grin

By the way - we Itshekiris will NEVER (I repeat NEVER) join Biafra. We are far more related to Yorubas and Edos. In the event of a Nigerian break-up our first choice is a Niger-Delta Republic. If that fails, we will join our Oduduwa cousins in the South-West. Igbos are dreamers.

And please go ahead and call me afonja all you want - in fact, you are not that far from the truth grin grin

Ever since I saw them calling Fratermathy an Afonja, I have been laughing my head off! cheesy grin Fratermathy is as Urhobo as they come! wink

But you should know the default setting of the IPOB crew by now. Anyone who does not agree with their myopic views, is automatically labelled an Afonja, even if he is Gwari, Bura, Fulani, Idoma, Koma, Yakurr, Tiv, Ebira, Kataf, Nupe, Igala or Urhobo. You really can't blame them. I have always said it: The 'juju the Afonjas cooked for them must have been very potent... undecided That is why you can see it manifesting in everything they do.

Amah70:
Religion in Nigeria's political process is live.

Far north Nigeria has led Nigeria most of the time.

Differences in religion between predominantly Muslim far northern Nigeria people and, for example, people in Warri/Sapele/Ughelli area, account for why oil-rich Warri area is not developed to the level of Dubai, after fifty years of oil proceeds from Warri area.

Religious bias accounts for why the first standard gauge rail lines in Nigeria, worth $1.059 billion, could be built in northern Nigeria, before the oil-producing areas of the Niger delta, with Warri areas extending to Isoko, Urhobo and Itshekiri kingdoms.

There is hardly any Church in Urhobo, Itshekiri, Isoko, or in any Niger delta area, that has monetary value more than many of the Mosques in far northern Nigeria.

-- note: most of the states of far northern Nigeria have little internally-generated revenues, hardly enough to pay wages of Civil servants, talk less build expensive Mosques.

It's only a possible fool from the Nigerdelta, or an impostor claiming to be Urhobo here, who cannot see the above distortions in Nigeria's existence, see Nigeria as a false country, and plot a way out of the falsehood called Nigeria.

Of course, left alone, in a million years, it shall be next to impossible for the Urhobo, Itshekiri and Isoko to free themselves from the falsehood and distorted country Nigeria.

Therefore, a wiser Urhobo, Itshekiri, Isoko, or indeed, any non-Igbo group in the SS shall embrace Biafra as a way to escape the false and distorted Nigeria, after which even an Urhobo or Isoko or Itshekiri country becomes very easy to get from Biafra.

I tremble for this kind your mathematics. As in Igbos + Urhobos = Biafra then later= Urhoborafia in other words 2+2=0.
Very strange.

1. Ovie of Agbarha-Warri Kingdom
2. Orosuen of Okere-Warri Kingdom

Go and read up how these kingdoms came to be and the role of the Itsekiris. Lubbish!

Urhobo has a population of 2million+, ample landmass and ocean ports, and everything it needs to be self-sufficient. So your sore attempt at using the Igbo treatment for us is just laughable because that treatment is left for the Igbos alone. In fact, it was created for you guys.

How can they respect the choice of others? undecided When wailing is in their blood stream, and trying to attach other ethnic groups into their proposed republic, is their sole aim?

Nobody wants Urhobos or Isokos in Biafra. Biafra is mainly Igbos and other minority tribes "Who declared interest" Willingly. They are free to get out and form their Niger Delta republic anytime they want. Its not our business.

You know its funny you all keep on claiming Igbos are interested in their oil. But even from the moment of secession, not one Igbo man had an oil well till date. You guys keep on living in delusion that Igbos are after oil... Thrash. To hell with the oil. Our ingenuity is enough for us. We will get there one day.

Before you quote me... I know what you will say next because the average ewedu tossing goblet is predictable. You will say something like;

"Ingenuity in drugs, baby factory, cannibalism and armed robbery".... Mtcheww. Stale!

I know most of you foot soldiers are blind, so I wouldn't mind helping you out.

If the Niger Delta itself wasn't riddled with corrupt leadership, it would have been difficult for Northern powers to control the oil wells in their numbers.

It is similar to why the South East leadership have been the greater cowards in the Biafran project. Unfortunately, I cannot show you we are free because it would mean I must acknowledge that we are in bondage, which we are not.

I understand the Biafrian project won't be complete until the land grabbing tendencies materialize. You need the oil regions to fan your chest beating antics. Unfortunately, we don't share your dream. If you want the oils badly, declare a war and see what follows.

fratermathy:
I came across this laughable plea from IPOB online and as an Urhobo, I found it laughable and delusional. I'll express my sentiments under the post.

My issues with this delusional plea include:

1. The writer couldn't even spell Urhobo well. What he spelt was Uhrobo, not Urhobo. I have met several Igbos lash on others who dared to omit the "g" in Igbo and spelt as Ibo. The fact that someone or a group that supposedly means us well do not even know how to spell the name of our ethnicity is definitely laughable.

2. Urhobos/Isokos HAVE NEVER been a part of Biafra at any point. In 1967, Urhobo/Isokoland was in Nigeria's Mid-West State (previously in the Western Region) and anyone who knows the history of the war well enough knows that the Mid-West was never part of Ojukwu's short-lived Biafra. In fact, the Biafran troops massacred a lot of Mid-Westerners, including Urhobo/Isokos, when they invaded Benin (only Igbos were spared).

3. In the current resurgence for Biafra, Urhobo/Isokos have always maintained their stand. Our apex socio-cultural unions, UPU and IDU, have stated emphatically that we do not want Biafra. We are not Biafrans. We do not want to be Biafrans! This cannot be overemphasised. Apart from our apex groups, many of us have rejected the Biafran cause in the numerous Urhobo-Isoko groups on the social media.

4. Urhobo/Isokos have never been sympathetic to the Igbo cause in any way. In fact, quite the opposite, we have maintained our independence and tilted more towards the West. The average Urhobo man is more at home with a Yoruba than with an Igbo. This doesn't mean we hate Igbos but we simply have more sympathy with our Edoid/Yoruboid kins. This explains the presence of many itinerant and settler Urhobos in Yorubaland, as opposed to Igboland where Urhobo/Isokos hardly venture to. How then can we share a country with people we have no historical, political or cultural ties with? Any Urhobo/Isoko that may be sympathetic to the Biafran cause does so at the personal level and represents his own interest. The voice of Urhobo/Isoko collective interest has been made known already.

5. Urhobos WILL NOT sit at home and do nothing because IPOB asked us to or because Igbos are doing so. It will NEVER happen, today or anytime soon. Such a plea is useless and antithetical to the Biafran cause. Biafrans should aim for an Igboid country and leave Edoid/Yoruboid groups out of it. Urhobo/Isoko is Edoid. Itsekiri is Yoruboid. Even the Western Ijaws which have always been with us tilt more towards the West than anywhere else. How can you want so many dissimilar groups in your "utopia"? Won't it amount to creating another Nigeria when you "drag" uninterested groups to your cause?

I need not tell the writer, IPOB and any Igbo who cares to hear what the answer to this plea would be. The response is not farfetched. Ihwo r'Urhobo guoni Biafra a! Urhobo people are not Biafrans! We may be fed up with Nigeria but we can never leave the devil for the deep blue sea. Igbo is a majority ethnic group in Nigeria and as such contributes to the plights faced by minorities such as Urhobo/Isoko. The Igbo should not absolve itself from the "parasite" status! As far as minorities are concerned, all majority ethnic groups are a threat. Some are much more than some. In this case, Igbos have never done anything for Urhobo/Isokos to trust its motives. IPOB should stop adding us to its agenda or else it'll attract more insults to itself and the Igbo ethnicity. A word is enough for the wise!

Ihwo r'Urhobo v'Isoko, ke mavor owa mlo ota na vwa? Oshe phiyor? Biko vwa me ji tota kparemu me tare na!

Certainly, you can not read talk less of comprehension.
