loooollll Honestly.... I think Kelechi's move to London will only serve to further deepen the bond and motivation they both provide for each other as national team pals and as young players who wanna make a name in the game. wink

Remember Kelechi's favourite and closest mentor at Man City, Pablo Zabaleta is already a West Ham player too....

So he will still be there telling Kelechi to show what he got on the inside and let pep know he was wrong in letting him go and undermining his abilities. Zaba will be saying to Kelechi when he does lands in London, "Now to show Pep why you are even better than Gabby J and more clinical than both Kun and Gabby J" wink Loolll

Meanwhile I read rumors of City's proposed world record bid for mbappe... I thought Pep is satisfied with Gabby J grin

Funny man.... So even Aguero should run for dear life if Mbappe lands... looollll (Well, I don't see it happening shaa... at least not this summer... and if it does happen... it will be Madrid who signs Mbappe most likely). wink

sure his move to West ham will benefit him more I just wanted to make light of his move, as for that baldinho called pep he is still going to chew bottle next season.

Lol Ifeanyi Ubah FC Na sarcasm. Make them table bid make we hear whi be the real bidders.

My take: iheanacho to Dortmund, Onyekuru to 'gladbach

Nigeria's hottest teen star in Europe to FCIU.... nna eh... angry

no let me call sango and amadioha combo for you oooo.... angry

And yeah... Odey had a good game too ooo... he came and within minutes, he forced the Corsican keeper into a good stop. Penneteau caught it shaa... he didn't parry it. Another chance also saw Odey blast wide off a smart Iheanacho pass. In all, Odey gave a decent account of himself....

But seriously, The interests for Onyekuru... where do you think he should head to? Arsenal? West Ham? Dortmund? Gladbach? Everton? u know the rest...

For Iheanacho... it smells like it could be West Ham or maybe we are in for a little twist and shocker.... coz the likes of Dortmund, Hoffenheim, Leicester, Everton, West Bromwich Albion, Southampton etc all regiatered firm interests in Nacho... some are at the stage of bidding sef... but still nothing concrete from that end.... Abeg make them wrap up this thing biko... Nacho has to head back to camp and join up ahead of the South Africa Afcon qualifiers game. angry

But I trust his travel back to England from France for transfer talks with man city and his suitors will yield something good in the end...

I have always thought Onyekuru was another Victor Moses in the making with better goal rate. I am not yet sold on that Nigga.

Better goals rate?

I remember stating that let Onyekuru move to a more competitive league so we can better rate him.

Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina arrive as Eagles battle for shirts in France

The late night arrival of Super Eagles London based duo of Alex Iwobi and Ola Aina has raised the number of players in the team, as well as the teams morale ahead of the June 1 friendly match against the Hawks of Togo in France.

The Eagles, who forced the national team of the Island of Corsica to a 1-1 draw during the first friendly at Ajaccio, will battle Togo in the last game as part of the teams training camp in France ahead of the 2019 AFCON qualifying match against South Africa in Uyo on June 10.

A total of 19 players are currently in the camp of the Super Eagles preparing for their next friendly game against Togo following the arrival of Wilfred Ndidi and Olarewaju Kayode.

Manchester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, who scored the Eagles equalizer against Corsica last Friday left the camp for London, where he is expected to complete his move from Manchester City to West Ham United, which has indicated interest in the top finisher.

The players will be expected to be involved in a strong battle for consideration by the Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, who is expected to release a fresh list for the Eagles AFCON qualifier against South Africa.

Nobody is talking about noah obazee absence in camp and remember he was on the bench for hanover last game.
Or has he change his mind to represent nigeria or what is the reason?

I really would love Nacho to Dortmund or even Hoffenheim, but well.... let's see what this week brings coz I expect the transfer situation around Nacho to be wrapped up this week. West ham have put in a bid, we hear Leicester joined the party late, Dortmund and Hoffenheim may not match the £20million valuation City placed on Nacho, then it is just firm interests I read about with respect to Everton, Southampton and even West Bromwich Albion.....

Onyekuru to Gladbach is still possible. But I don't even know which of his suitors have put in a solid bid....

Finally, nope... not going by OGN reports but their reports are similar to what went on in most parts of the game. But they didn't even cover/report the chance Nacho created for Odey apart from the one Odey hit on target. So many things they didn't say. And nope I no get match tape biko.... looolll.... just using memory of bits and pieces I saw.... wink

No be like that naa.... looolll... Noah Bazee is still committed to Nigeria. He just returned from injury naa... so I think Rohr wanted to not rush him into action or things like that.

I don't know if he will make the Squad for the South Africa game but know that if he doesn't, then it means Rohr wanna give him ample time to recover even more at least ahead of the Cameroon double header.

Also, factor in the fact that Henry now swells the competition for places on the left... then that may yet be a reason why Rohr wanna take it easy with Noah Bazee.

Bafana coach Baxter ropes in Manchester United scout to spy on Nigeria

The former England Under-19 coach says Bafana will be quite well prepared for the Super Eagles on the 10th of June 2017
New South Africa coach Stuart Baxter has roped in a Manchester United scout to spy on the Nigerian squad in the French capital city, Paris.
The British tactician, who was re-appointed earlier this month, will be in charge of Bafana Bafana against the Super Eagles next month.
Nigeria are currently camping in Paris ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier which will be played in Uyo.
“I’ve had probably three days away from SuperSport, where I have put my Bafana hat on, and I’ve gained some intelligence on Nigeria‚” Baxter told the media..
“I’ve got the Manchester United scout who’s helping us in Paris," he continued.
"Nigeria are playing Corsica at the Ajaccio Stadium in Corsica‚ and against Togo in Paris – and they’re being watched there," Baxter added.
“I’ll get reports on that. I’ve got video footage‚ I’ve got reports‚ I’ve got the coach’s [Gernot Rohr] background," he added.
"So by the time we come to the event, we’ll be quite well-prepared," Baxter concluded.

Looollll.... Very true. I was on one of their sites and I saw many comments from the fans condemning the team as one lacking enough cohesion.

Several of their fans admitted to the individual quality talents in the fold of the black starlets but kept insisting that the team lacked teamwork and had more players who always wanna showboat and play to the gallery.

Their game with Guinea in the group stage hammered home their points somewhat.

Well shaa...... The Ghanaians are obviously looking at Nigeria as the benchmark especially the Nigerian class of 2013 and even the class of 2015. They believe this team should aspire to such heights with the talents they have got in the team.

Ghana still have a couple of months to try make the team more cohesive. They have a fine bunch of talents in the team... but the fans must cool down and not scatter the morale of the boys.

• Man City star leaves Eagles’ Paris camp

Former English champions, Leicester City are reportedly worried that West Ham will beat them to the signature of Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho. Iheanacho has left the Super Eagles’ training camp in Paris to sort out his future in England.

Iheanacho is one of the youngsters lined up by the 2015/2016 champions for next season amid the uncertainty surrounding Riyad Mahrez’s future at the club. But the club is worried that West Ham, who has bid £24 million for the Nigerian will beat them to the signature of the 2013 U-17 World Cup most valuable player.

Aside the Hammers, several other clubs have been linked to the striker. Iheanacho returned to Manchester on Saturday from the Nigeria training camp in Paris, where the young striker had been with team-mates including Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi.

Nigeria are due to play Togo in Paris on Thursday.

Already, West Ham fans have taken to social media to express their delight with Kelechi Iheanacho reportedly set to join the club from Manchester City. The news comes one day after the club announced the signing of Pablo Zabaleta from City on a free transfer on a two-year deal.

Slaven Bilic has been on the lookout for a new striker and it looks like he has made his move early to sign the talented striker for £24 million.

The young striker is apparently hoping to sort out his future with Everton, Southampton and West Bromwich Albion plus clubs in the Bundesliga also showing an interest, along with Leicester City and West Ham.

Echiejile hails new Eagles stars

Monaco defender Elderson Echiejile has praised the mental strength of the young Super Eagles debutants that featured in Friday’s friendly 1-1 draw against Corsica in Ajaccio, France.

Coach Gernot Rohr handed unofficial debuts to eight new players during the encounter.
Stephen Odey, Sikiru Olatunbosun, Henry Onyekuru, Ibrahim Al hassan, Tyronne Ebuehi, Chidozie Awaziem, Mikel Agu and Uche Agbo all played their first Super Eagles games against the semi-autonomous French region.

Echiejile who captained the team in the encounter is delighted that the new players showed promise. “It was a tough game but I believe there were positive lessons learnt. We now have good options that need to be encouraged,” the stand in captain said after the encounter. “All the new players that featured showed courage and good focus when we were 1-0 down. “They just need to be encouraged.”

Jean-Jacques Mandrichi gave Corsica the lead from the spot after Tyronne Ebuehi handled in the penalty box but Kelechi Iheanacho extended the Super Eagles unbeaten streak to seven with a goal from the spot late in the second half. The Super Eagles will face Togo in another friendly in Paris on Thursday before taking on South Africa in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on 10 June.

NPFL: Home teams reign supreme as Plateau United maintain top spot

Match Day 21 in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) was completely dominated by the home teams as they all recorded victories.

Plateau United continued their dominance at the top with a 1-0 victory against Remo Stars through Hamza Owolabi’s 43rd minute goal.

Plateau now have 39 points from 21 games.

Shooting Stars suffered their second straight defeat with a 3-0 loss to Lobi in Makurdi. Kingsley Eduwo scored a brace while Sunday Akleche’s 89th-minute goal completed the rout.

In Minna, MFM struggled against Niger Tornadoes as they fell 3-0 to the hosts through a goal from Wilfred Ammeh in the 37th and a brace from Wakili Abdullahi.

Onoriode Odah’s goal in the 92nd minute for Rivers United was not enough as El Kanemi’s duo of Samuel Mathias and Bala Yahuza ensured that the Maiduguri Warriors continued their impressive home run as they secured a 2-1 win.

El Kameni have now overtaken MFM on the second position of the NPFL log.

In the oriental derby, Sunday Adetunji scored a brace while Anthony Okemiri and Obi Samson found the back of the net as Abia Warriors pummelled champions Rangers 4-0.

Godwin Obaje’s brace secured a convincing victory for FC Ifeanyi Ubah against visiting Kano Pillars.

FC Ifeanyi Ubah have now gone eight games unbeaten in the NPFL, the longest by any team this season.

A 67th-minute penalty converted by Ajibola Otegbeye saw Austin Eguavoen’s Sunshine Stars register a 1-0 win over visiting Enyimba in Akure.

Akwa United defeated 10-man ABS 3-0, Nasarawa United overcame Wikki Tourists 2-0, while Gombe United managed a 1-0 home win against Katsina United.
