Please, the EPL fixtures are all there to see. You can go as far back as any season of your choice and show me a weekend where there was only 1 away goal and no away point... Please, our leagie ain't it. I notice you try hard to support the league, that's very good of you. Infact I never missed any highlights last season on the npfl YouTube page. I hated highlights in Abia and Heartland grounds due to their bad surface. The league has done talents but whatever makes home teams always win is becoming worrisome. One season, every team would just finsish with 38 points by winning all of their home games. Before you go admit asking how much i know of the league, the best I do now is that I follow almost all the team twitter handles, Mowiz, Mitch and Mekus Mekus handles. Our league has a problem, lets face it. You cannot statistically create a betting odd with the npfl data. Today Enyimba are champions, next Pillars, next Rangers, now Plateau utd are gunning for it. What special additions did Plateau make to their teams to make them strong. Eg Monaco / Tottenham's success can be attributed to youth; Leipzig, Chelsea, PSG and ManCity can be attributed to financial prowress. In Naija we no de know wetin de make championship team fight relegation next season while non entities fight for championship.

Last I knew was that the NFF were sorting out the issue. Apparently it must have been sorted out alongside that of Sarenren Bazee

Why won't you want to see a Godwin Obaje...?? Lad hasn't even spent up to three years in the NPFL.... so why say no to him? undecided

And Ejike Uzoenyi did well at the CHAN and was even MVP, yet he is no closer to any higher level.

Chisom Chikatara nko? Did well at the last CHAN yet no one talks about him anymore.

It is true we need the CHAN to assess our homebased players more but it is also no guaranteed benchmark of quality.

My Point? Let's not put all our eggs into the CHAN as regards Home-based lads... can't remember Etebo playing in the CHAN sef... and CHAN started 2009.

Yes, it isn't but it offers us a chance to pick some of the better players. There are no age group competitions so CHAN is what we have now. Etebo was through age group competition.

Shining at those levels does not make you national team level, it just helps us identify the better players.

I am not sold on Obaje. He reminds me a lot of Gambo Muhammad.

It is not just CHAN, let them get tested at a higher level than the NPFL.

Only one away goal, no win, no draw.. Not in the EPL

This is recurring theme in the Nigerian league. That's the problem. Everyone was shocked at three away wins last weekend because it is not normal.

Yes o!!! Friday Ubong is on a crazy run of form right now. He got the ball outside the box on the left and just let go an unstoppable shot that rifled into the top right corner. I am not exaggerating when I say 2 keepers wouldn't have stopped it. I also have to give the coach Abdu Maikaba a lot of credit, from what I am see he is the best coach in Nigeria. Akwa was without Alhassan, Ifeanyi and Aremu but yet made it look easy.
exactly bro...coach maikaba..is someone I admire so much in the home front last season... he did wonders wit wikki terrorist of Bauchi...amidst their meagre resources... and now he is achieving wonders wit akwa united...
he was once tipped to replace manu garba as under 17 coach...I hope he get penciled for a national team job soon...

When will one good club just man up and sign this real deal of a player called Oghenekaro Etebo?? angry They are always scouting.... I keep saying it... if Etebo was Etebinho who scored four goals in one game at the Olympics plus his star sparkling performances for the Super Eagles since he walked into Rohr's team, he would have been wrapping up the 2016/17 season with either PSG, Man Utd, Leicester, Monaco, Atletico, Madrid even (he got more fuel and energy than Casemiro #fact)..... nonsense!!!! Etebo... your time is coming... A lamp placed high on a hill can only shine and can't be stopped from illuminating all around it.... smiley

Exclusive : Lyon Scouting Super Eagles New Star Oghenekaro Etebo In France

French Ligue 1 club Lyon are mulling over a summer move for Nigeria U23 poster boy Oghenekaro Etebo.

A Lyon insider has informed this website that they are delighted with the performances of the midfielder since he linked up with Portuguese setup CD Feirense in 2016, and will continue to observe him when Nigeria tackle Togo in Paris on Thursday.

''The player Etebo is also being looked at by OL (Olympique Lyonnais), he is very pacy,'' a Lyon insider told
allnigeriasoccer.com .

''Scouts there tell us he might fit well into their team with three high profile expected departures from their midfield/attack this summer.''

With Etebo yet to sign a new contract with CD Feirense, the Primeira Liga outfit are willing to cash in on the Nigerian or he'll leave for nothing at the end of the 2017-2018 season.

Patrick Kluivert Reveals Ajax Still Pushing To Sign Arsenal, Barcelona Linked Nigerian Prodigy

Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that Eredivisie powerhouse Ajax Amsterdam have not thrown in the towel as regards to the pursuit of American-born Nigerian wonderkid Lateef Omidiji Jnr.

Bearing it in mind that the highly-rated teenager can't be signed by a foreign club until he attains the age of majority, Feyenoord pulled off a transfer coup when they snapped him up from Dordrecht FC last month.

Despite that, Real Madrid and Barcelona are still in the hunt to land Omidiji as they believe the kid is the future of world football.

Ajax Amsterdam hero Patrick Kluivert, who is now the director of football for Paris Saint-Germain, has revealed that Ajax are still interested in the young striker, but he will do everything possible to bring him to PSG.

It is believed that Premier League side Arsenal have an agreement in place to sign Omidiji when he turns eighteen.

Meanwhile, it is understood that the United States Soccer Federation are on the verge of making a major announcement with regards to the international future of Lateef Omidiji, while the Nigerian and Dutch FA are also interested in capping the player.

This is the highlights of Bursaspor vs Genclerbirligi. I only watched it cos Bursaspor is a club directly in a relegation fight with Obabona's Rizespor. Bursaspor is at home and lost this game in the dying second. Watch what led to the winning goal for the away team. Assuming this was Naija league, let's be sincere - do you think any person (fans/players) affiliated with the away side would walk out of the home stadium alive? I would appreciate responses.

I would attempt to answer it first. My take is 1) it would be in the away sides best interest that the guy that square played the ball never did so. 2) Per adventure he mistakenly square played the ball, it would be very imperative that the supposed goal scorer reduces his speed as not to get anywhere near that ball so as not to score. Cos if that ball enters the home teams net, that's death sentence for most away individuals in the stadium. That's how I view events would have played out assiming it was npfl.

U knew his ability but u didn't want any NPFL players near the national team. All that has happened is that he has proved his numbers in the NPFL are no fluke. IMO the credit should go to Abdu Maikaba who has coached him the last 2 seasons.

CHAN is for the best performing players in the NPFL. It just so happens that the best performing players this season are mostly young. Obaje is a young man that has found his form, if u like it or not as long as he keeps scoring he will be on the CHAN team sheet. Although right now Sunday Adetunji should be the CHAN starting 9.

Like Nwobodo, Like Muazzam.. We have seen their ability at youth level. I would not advocate for a direct national team place for an NPFL player unless they prove themselves at a higher stage, whether at CHAN, Caf competitions or at age-group teams. Why? Because we have seen many that flatter to deceive.

As regards Obaje, it is just my personal assessment. I am not sold on him. Yes, he will most likely be invited but I will love to see real youth at CHAN.

True talk Boss..... True Talk....

I recall I was the first to share the full video link to the Nigeria-Senegal game when the NFF/Super Eagles twitter handles released it via vimeo.... and even after enough people saw the full game, views were still not one.... differing views were still all over the place....

Like you've rightly pointed out, prejudice is indeed human nature, generally speaking.... people will always see what they have made up their mind to wanna see...

But I have learnt to dissociate myself long ago from such prejudice in all areas of my Living especially as regards National team football analyses..... If we go by tribal prejudice, you may not believe the state I hail from in Nigeria if I tell you..... loolll

Anyway, no one here really saw the full game... as for me, I only saw some good part of it thru some link shared here and also thru some other link when second half began... It is sad we cannot get our hands for now on the full video of the game. Hopefully the NFF shares it in their handle or the Super Eagles handle on twitter.

The video Highlights shared via FranceCorsica on Facebook also helped me see a few parts I missed... but the story is still not fully told.

So I get you.... Michael James and co of Owngoalnigeria may just be a little prejudiced in their reports... it is possible.

Really hope the full video can be released... and believe me if I see it... I will surely share it like I did for the Senegal game.

Exclusive: Paris Saint-Germain Hoping To Snatch Iheanacho From Under West Ham's Noses

French moneybags Paris Saint-Germain are making a late swoop to secure the signature of the talented Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report.

West Ham have emerged as the frontrunner to secure the services of the Manchester City wonderkid but face serious competition from PSG, and don't have the financial muscle to compete with the Ligue 1 powerhouse if it goes into a bidding war.

PSG are monitoring the situation of Iheanacho as they consider him one of the most exciting youngsters in Europe, and certainly believe that he has to leave Manchester City to further his career after falling out of favour with manager Pep Guardiola.

Les Parisiens are confident of sealing a deal for the Super Eagles star because they believe West Ham is not a high caliber club like PSG, but are aware that the decision to come to France or stay with a smaller club in England lies with the striker.

Iheanacho, 20, has also been linked with possible moves to Borussia Dortmund, TSG Hoffenheim and Leicester City.

He departed the Super Eagles training camp in Paris on Saturday, but is expected to rejoin the squad ahead of Thursday's international friendly with Togo.

OLARENWAJU BAGS AUSTRIAN'S BUNDESLIGA TOPSCORER AWARD

Austria Wien forward Olarenwaju Kayode has finished as the Austrian Bundesliga topscorer for the 2016-17 season.

The 24-year-old scored 17 goals in 33 league games for the Violets, making it a total of 24 goals in all competitons this season.

Kayode was missing in Austria Wein’s 6-1 win over Admira on Sunday after being suspended for the second successive yellow card he picked up against Salzburg.

Kayode is currently in camp with the Super Eagles as they prepare for their friendly game against the Sparrow Hawks of Togo on June 1.

Leicester City Star Ahmed Musa Misses Super Eagles Training Session In Paris

Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that Ahmed Musa is in a race against the clock to be fit for the Super Eagles international friendly against Togo on Thursday.

Sixteen players participated in the national team's first training session in the French capital on Sunday morning, with Musa and Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho not in attendance.

The Leicester City striker had to be replaced by Mountain of Fire FC's Sikiru Olatunbosun in the 62nd minute of the 1-1 draw with Corsica on Friday night after picking up a knock and Thursday's game may be too early for him to fully recover.

On the other hand, Iheanacho has claimed that he will return to Paris on Monday following his trip to England to sort out personal issues.

The Super Eagles have started Tuesday's training session without any new arrival sighted.

West Ham fans react to Kelechi Iheanacho bid

According to Sky Sports , West Ham have tabled a bid for Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho.

The 20-year-old striker has been a rumoured target of the Hammers for a number of weeks now but reports are suggesting that the club have now made an official bid for the City man.

Manchester City believe their young striker is worth £20 million, although it is not clear as to whether the bid from West Ham meets that valuation.

The Hammers are in desperate need of more striking options next season, after yet another campaign without a star front man. The club have been trying to buy a 20+ goal a season striker for the last two years but have failed to find anyone up to the task.

With a fan base growing restless and owners seemingly willing to spend this summer, Iheanacho may be one of a number of new faces at the London Stadium.

West Ham fans took to Twitter on Sunday evening to express their thoughts on the reported bid for Iheanacho…

Chelsea turned down Gabriel Barbosa transfer due to Tammy Abraham

Read more: http://metro.co.uk/2017/05/25/chelsea-turned-down-gabriel-barbosa-transfer-due-to-tammy-abraham-6662548/#ixzz4iTzLOSFj

Chelsea reportedly turned down the opportunity to seal the transfer of Brazil wonderkid Gabriel Barbosa last summer due to rating their own promising youngster Tammy Abraham so highly.

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a superb season out on loan at Bristol City this term, scoring 26 goals in 48 games, which may have put himself in contention for a first-team place at Stamford Bridge in the near future.
Abraham is now reportedly set to earn a new contract at Chelsea, ahead of another likely move away on loan to prepare him for Antonio Conte’s first-team.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Chelsea have had Abraham in their plans for some time, so much so that they passed up an exciting opportunity to sign one of the world’s most highly rated young forwards a year ago.

Barbosa, who goes by the nickname Gabigol, instead made the move to Inter Milan, where he has struggled, but he had been linked with a host of top European sides after impressing in his native Brazil.

This signals a major change in direction by Chelsea, who have previously favoured big-name signings over promoting their own academy players, but Abraham has clearly impressed enough to convince the club he has a future in their senior side as well.

Eagles Training Report : Musa Misses Session, Ndidi Shinning Bright, Onyekuru Finally Comes Alive

The Super Eagles of Nigeria had their second training session in Paris ahead of their next friendly game against Togo and as usual Owngoalnigeria.com Michael James witnessed the session.

Only 16 players took part in the session including the two goalkeepers as Leicester City forward Ahmed Musa is out injured after picking up a knock in Friday’s friendly against Corsica which ended 1-1.

After the traditional warm up and ball works, the players did tactical drills which suggest the coach is already perfecting strategies for the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers game against South Africa in Uyo next month.

Due to confidential purposes we won’t be revealing the various drills done by the team, but during the session Leicester City Wilfred Ndidi was once again the star man in training.

His willingness to hit long range shots impressed Rohr who was also visibly pleased with the contributions of Oghenekaro Etebo and Chidozie Awaziem during the session.

However the good news during the session has to be the form of Henry Onyekuru who had a not too impressive showing against Corsica, but showed his true mettle in today’s session.

Onyekuru who scored 25 goals for modest Belgium side Eupen found his scoring touch and finished with aplomb in the goal scoring drills done by the team.
