Why don't you remind me how much this government claimed to have saved, generated from ports, recovered from loots etc

You are making excuses for incompetence. You should be ashamed of yourself.

You are the one who ought to be ashame of yourself for knowing the facts but will not admit it.

A woman that refused to gather water during raining season should not expect to get water to use when dry season kick in.

How much did your PDP and Jonathan saved and what did he do when we were selling crude around $140?

buhari is not just a failure but a disaster, he destroyed and bastardized everything handed to him while spreading poverty to every nooks and cronies of the country.

You are the first person to claim buhari isn't responsible for recession in 1984. Well am sorry to burst your bubble. He was. Just as he has bad economic policies now. He did then. Changing currency. Allocation system of FX. Counter trade. And a whole lot. The guy doesn't have it. (leadership skills). Am sorry but even Abacha was far better as a manager of the economy than buhari

Go and study your history properly.

Who introduced the term 'austerity measures' ?
Were there complaints of profligacy against the Shagari administration?
Was the NPN guilty of awarding phantom contracts and massive spending ?
Have you heard of the antics of Adisa Akinloye, NPN chairman who celebrated his first billion with imported customized champagne? What about the looting of the treasury by Umaru Dikko and Olusola Saraki in their attempt to reclaim campaign funds?
Under which government did hoarding of essential commodities begin?
Under which government did Nigerians indeed first hear the term 'essential commodity' ?
What were the reasons adduced for the dec 31st coup?

Buhari changed the currency to frustrate the political elite who had looted the state coffers. FX allocation and trade by barter were instituted because the foreign powers especially UK tried to frustrate his government by applying economic pressure on him.

Hate Buhari all you like but don't distort history. I am not a supporter of Buhari and I think he is incompetent but there is no need to lie against him wrt the 1980 - 90 recession.

Buhari inherited a bad economy and it got worse for many reasons but the decline did not start with him.

First of all, I shouldn't even be replying you since you're obviously a "bashir". You Mohammedans will always support your own no matter what and that's the glaring truth.

Saudi Arabia is not in a recession sir and has not been since 1999. It was only projected that Saudi would slide into a recession this year but they have taken appropriate measures to ensure they don't slide into one. One of the measures was cutting workers salaries.

The sole reason we are in a recession is not because of dwindling oil prices. While that is also a reason, it is not the most tangible reason. Your demigod Buhari is the reason Nigeria is in this mess called recession. Before implementing all the unfavorable policies that drove several companies away he (PMB) was warned even by foreigners that such harsh economic policies wlhad never worked anywhere in the world before, but all those warnings fell on deaf ears.

Be informed. I'm don't typing and won't reply you further.

I'm sure both you and your brother are mediocre, and the alacrity at which he was shut down by your ill fated arguments shows that.

At first neither both PMB nor GEJ caused it, we're in recession because of our over dependence on oil, and when global oil price dropped, during Buhari regime, we we're unable to cope because GEJ left little or nothing in our Foreign reserve.

Saudi arabia enters recession with over 300 billion dollars in foreign reserve, and were however able to maintain it's economy.

What is Buhari fault in this his fault is fighting corruption that has already been engulfed by GEJ administration, Stealing is not corruption crooner , I'm sure he should be awarded for that statement.

It's either we take it or leave it, we're in the situation we are now, because we've not been saving when oil was selling above 140 dollars per barrel, your so called GeJ was busy drinking in Aso rock while the likes of dasuki were looting our reserves.

Buhari is on the right track but at the wrong time, our economy needs to be diversified. most advanced countries has their economy diversified into many sectors like Agriculture, production etc.

I was discussing with my elder brother on politics and he was supporting PMB. So I asked who caused the recession? He tried to exonerate Buhari and answered saying that Jonathan caused it. So I asked him, "who caused the recession in 1984? Was it Jonathan?" He kept mute.

If not that he is my elder brother, I would've beat him for saying that GEJ caused the recession.

Is it a coincidence that PMB is only synonymous with recession, inflation, poverty, widespread hardship, etc? Even top Economists have ascertained that all these were caused by the harsh economic policies implemented by Buhari yet somebody is still blaming Jonathan.

President Buhari's scorecard
Those convicted of corruption = 0
Schools Built = 0
Hospitals = 0
Power plants = 0
Refinery = 0
Economy = 0
Without sentiment, it is clear without an iota of doubt that Buhari is a total unmitigated disaster.

It's so easy to insult other people when one wants to make his own opinion. An opinion that is at best his own.
That assume that any of them shouldn't be blamed. They both should be blamed. Jonathan for failing to fight corruption and failing to save.

NOI spoke several times about savings but never really saved. She spoke about investing in capital expenditure but never really did that ..

Now it PMB's tenure and you want to blame history. Except he is very dull, he should have been aware of the economic situation of the country when he was making his nursery school promises: 1 USD = 1 Naira and the likes.
2ndly, despite baba's promises and the challenge before, it took him 6 months to get a cabinet ready. Hurriedly implemented the TSA without due consultation just to take a certain glory for it thereby stifling the economy. And many more primary school policies.

My brother, sorry to touch your saint. PMB is very dull and knows nothing about governing a 21st century country.

There should be numbers for numbers below failure far from success expectation.

He has really exceeded expectation on the following
i. raising zombies
ii. lies and propaganda
iii. visiting London too
iv. giving us the best joke on earth - the other room
maybe you should rate him minus one billion (-1,000,000,000) since "0" is greater than it.
