The Archbishop of the Enugu Province, Anglican Communion, Most Rev. Emmanuel Chukwuma, has said that the clergy are not in support of the sit-at-home declared by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) to commemorate Biafra Remembrance Day.

Most. Rev. Chukwuma made this known at the Democracy Day celebration and second year anniversary of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in Enugu on Monday. “Before I offer the opening prayer, let me first of all state the position of the clergy on the sit-at- home declaration by IPOB and MASSOB. “We are not in support of the call.

We advise all to ignore it and go about their legitimate businesses.” Recall that the pro-Biafra groups had declared a sit-at-home order to all Ndigbo to mark the Biafra Remembrance Day billed for May 30.

so the south east governors and politicians have now enlisted the help of the clergy to sabotage the Biafran struggle. the same clergy that pushed goodluck Jonathan into shame. the Anglican archbishop have the constitutional right to say and do as he said that's if this news isn't false propaganda.

Our clergy in their respective parishes do not know what the common man in the street is passing through.

They feed fat on offerings and stock their bans with yams, rice and other foodstuffs.

Generators are on standby to cool their body.

Cars and fueling is not a problem as the parish council sees to that from the parish purse.

Some of them travel abroad as if they are traveling to the village....infact they are OK and contended so why should they worry when the common man devices a survival scheme

i guess you're a Roman Catholic? all you said is the very reason many people are becoming cold towards organised religions, many igbos no longer consider these clergy as men of God.

Attention seekers no One is asking you to be part of it....

I may not support the current form of the Biafrian agitation but truth is Millions of people died during the war and we can remember them tomorrow since Nigerian Govt don't remember what led to the war.

The way you guys reason ehn...I just taya

Soooo selfish and self centered....

For crying out loud he is a man of God not a politician, supporting it will be against Nigeria which is an offence and can be called a sin, remember he is a man of God.

FYI how many SE Governors has come out to openly support Biafra, even if they want it, they can't embrace it openly.....think , think think!

Even the SE business man that are freestyle, they are supporting with sense.... How much more a man of God

I know they will attack the man of God for saying the truth. The truth is bitter but must be said at all cost. The rationale behind sit at home just to mark Biafra day is what I don't understand.

Ndi igbo mepee nu anya (open your eyes). This is not the Biafra you seek. Ojukwu used Biafra to fight his personal war with Gowan. Now this con man albino, Nnamdi Kanu is using the same Biafra to amass power. Judaism is the fastest growing religion in the east. My people are now bowing down to greet a mortal. Kedu ihe mmere anyi? what happened to the great igbo tribe that I used to Know?

Biafra is in deeds. Helping your fellow igboman, my friend, is indeed the Biafra you seek.
