In the absence of Nigeria's President, Muhammadu Buhari, his deputy, Yemi Osinbajo addressed the nation on May 29, a day that marks 18th year of Nigeria's democratic dsispensation. Buhari had been in London on a medical vacation for an undisclosed ailment.

His deputy, Mr. Osinbajo, a lawyer, and pastor, warned against actions capable of undermining the sovereignty of Nigeria, saying the country "belongs to all of us." He said this in the Democracy Day speech at the wee hours of Monday.

According to him, "as we all daily preoccupy ourselves with pursuing the Nigerian dream, which is the desire to better Nigerians' lives and circumstances vigorously and honestly, it is inevitable that grievances and frustrations will arise from time to time.

But while he gave the address, it was evident that behind him were positioned, two Nigerian flags, as opposed to the usual and normal four.

In 2016 Democracy day broadcast, President Buhari delivered the speech behind four flags; 2 National flags, and 2 Flags of Nigeria's Armed Forces – that symbolises the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces.

But these Armed Forces' flags were missing while Vice/Acting President Osinbajo delivered May 29, 2017 democracy day speech. Could this mean that the Acting President is not the Commander in Chief?

Already, there are schemes in the nation's seat of power by some powerful forces close to the President.

Nobody is deputing that but someone need to act as representative of chief commander of army forces since the president is inconsistent with the nation affair. Perhaps, there is law backing it
