Infinix is not my favorite brand of phone and I had just one frightening experience with my hot4 lite, just once. Overall, it is an 'OK' piece of device. You are likely not gonna regret the User Experience.

I was charging it and suddenly the phone got very hot and switched itself off. If the battery was removable, I would have just removed the battery for a few minutes and insert it back. It refused to switch on but the temperature keeps increasing that the back of the phone when you remove the cover can scald your lips. The temperature later reduced after like 2 hours and the phone switched back on but the battery was well drained. It was rejecting chargers until I formatted the phone and it started working properly again. This is one reason I don't like phones with NON REMOVABLE BATTERY very high battery temperature is prone to explosion and that was my major worry that evening.
The issue could arise with any phones (not limited to infinix hot4 or the infinix brand) but the non removable battery design is a minus when issues like that arise that could have been solved with a quick removal and insertion of the battery.

had similar experience last week with my hot4, wished the battery was removable, else I could have rescued a hardware that sorta fried itself inside my device out of sudden unresponsive system and overheating, Hopefully, Carlcare will be opened tomorrow here in Ilorin.

Well, I wouldn't want to scare you but, you should consider going to Carlcare if you experience such incident again, cause just like you have described here, my experience was same. you an check out my thread in the link below. Going to update the thread once I go back to carlcare tomorrow and post whatever they say went wrong with the device and any other thing involved

God bless you and I hope they get it fixed for you. I thank God that my panel didn't get fried. On a similar thread on nairaland here and on facebook about a lady's hot4 that exploded. Infinix and some people were labelling the phone as fake. I stated that though I didn't physically examine the device but it may not be fake as I had a similar scare that could have resulted in an explosion. Some idiots labelled my device as fake that I should shut up. I gave them a piece of my mind sha. I don't think I can buy a phone with a NON REMOVABLE BATTERY again

@ Jaymichael, I went to carlcare today as concerning my device. Long Story short, since you've experienced overheating issue once; I'm not trying to discourage you but since your device is still good shape, if I were you? I will barter/trade out the phone grin

I have known carlcare services to be wack. It is just unfortunate, shameful and disgraceful that these people don't take responsibility for their devices' faults which isn't t the fault of the users.

it's quite sad, the most painful part is the physical damage my device is having, I mean I can no longer trade it in for good money with such condition, the annoying part is the damage that wasn't inflicted by my handling(e.g the phone taking a fall or dropping in water); the device clearly fried itself.

I just checked the specification of Infinix Hot 4 it's good. We have lots of smartphone globally. do some research and then get some reviews about the phone before buying.......
