Very old analysis. A lot of infrastructural development are ongoing in Ogun state currently in terms of roads, housing as am speaking now.

Amosun has mandated contractors currently working on ogun state roads to finish work before November 2017 which will birth almost 10 flyovers in the state in addition to the existing ones and also minimum of 3 carriage way roads in major cities of the state. Chill till November by God's grace, we will upload all the pixs
Now is time to show your work no more propaganda

Is this guy thinking Ogun does not have world class hospitals, or hotels, or schools, or roads or nice houses or what? lool
You think Yorubas have time to be moving from one nice part of town to another snapping pics just to come and prove iranu on NL tribal war?

RCCG Camp alone has better infrastructure than anything obtainable in ur stoopid pics, lol. plus 24hr power supply ... This is an area that contains enough population already to have two local government areas.
or should we talk about Hilltop Abk, The numerous OPIC housing schemes, Oke Mosan, or the exclusive areas springing up all over Ijebu Ode, especially the northern axis. The number of top notch sec. schools in the Otta axis alone will blow away his feeble "local championship" mentality.

this FK is comparing the best parts of the SE with the Worst parts of the SW, and feeling happy. Deep inside he knows we aren't even mates.

The issue of non viability spread out around country. 4 in south and 9 in north. Honestly most of these states have the potential to become viable with good policies. Ekiti State can simply copy good examples in region. The governors meet up to talk and plan.

Anyway I'm noticing Akwa Ibom only at 15 when all the other state made it to at least 20%. We should be shooting for over 20 in a years times. The overall goal should be over 100%. Personally I think allocation system should be scrapped because it encourages laziness.

I support you in this bro state allocation should be scrapped they should merge some state because they dont have what it takes to carter for itself.why creating a state when u have nothing to survive your people all they do is to create more state and fold their arms and be enjoying federal government allocation rubbish!

Funnily, with all the negative talk people like to chump on the South South, we are actually by far the best performing even without oil.

4 South South states are in the top ten. In fact Edo and Cross Rivers don't even receive anything from oil sef and yet they are punching hard.

We contribute all of the nations wealth and and still generate our own resources for ourselves while others just wait to share from our natural wealth!!
The edo one is interesting, they have very small allocation compared to other SS states but the IGR has been on the high side for over 5yrs now.

Kudos to our Edo people bro.

They have a grand cement industry at Okpella. Plus One of the largest Rubber plantations and forestry product producers in the country.
Benin itself is a Nodal Alpha city in the Nigerian context. in the Leagues of Ibadan, Port Harcourt and Kano.

The Edo economy is diversified.

hedonistic:

13% derivation is lumped together with IGR, not to mention the revenues gleaned from the oil industry behemoths and associated oil-related activities... distinct from FAAC allocation. So yeah, oil is still at the centre of the ND states' sustainability.
Derivation is not IGR, derivation is added to allocation that is why rivers, bayelsa and delta has big allocation. Edo doesnt even have much oil wealth, infact it produces VERY LITTLE oil and there arent much oil companies there. The IGR above is principally from tax.

But Edo State and Cross Rivers have little or no oil revenue and Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa with loads of oil revenue are 14th and 20 something on the list.

What does that tell you? IGR has nothing to do with oil revenue. It has to do with 2 things: Economic activity and the willingness of the authorities to look beyond Abuja.

So how come they haven't been forced to look inwards during the recession when revenues from Abuja dwindled, especially last year?

They can't look inward until the revenue dries up. Even if it has dwindled, at least they still collect enough to embezzle.

Think of it... If you make a law that makes it impossible for Governors not to have access to the treasury, no single governor would want to contest for elections... So you complain about recession, but they keep feeding their fat bellies

Why do people have these kinds of mentalities? Why on earth can people be so jealous when they see others uniting together? Why are folks like you so sad and broken that your only succor would be to cause divisiveness.

FYI, we don't need no history that has been terribly distorted by European invaders+ Other Big Tribes to define ourselves. We use our current day realities to craft our own existence. And you know what, we, the so called little tribes of Southern Nigeria have chosen to be one people. And as nature would have it, much and most of our cultures & customs both in the past and today are very similar. Much and most of our geographical attributes are similar. The mangroves, thick tropical forests, coastal waters, etc. Much and most of our people share similar ideological tendencies.

So yes, we are the South South. And we love it like that. And our collective language is the Pidgin English.
I as an Edo man feels more at home in Uyo or Calabar than I feel any day in Osogbo. Same way a Rivers man feels more at home in Benin than he would feel in Ibadan..
The South South is real, no attempt to break the love will work!!

How you feel, PERSONALLY, is inconsequential to FACTS. AND FACT SAYS: AN EDO MAN IS CLOSER IN LINEAGE AND CULTURE TO A YORUBA MAN THAN A MAN FROM ACROSS THE RIVER IN CROSS RIVERS REGION.

You can choose to feel closer to a Japanese for all I care, thats you're prerogative. Sorry to say, but you're not smart at all, you sound really dense, like your brain has been clogged up with globby "Tribalism" material. Maybe thats why you can't think straight!Tell me, how the hell is "Pidgin English"---a language invented in Nigeria less than 100yrs ago--- more factual than provable historical evidence dating almost a thousand years ago?

And to add to your idiocy of "Theres South South". What "South South"? A political map invented by President Obasanjo and Alex Ekwueme to play on the sentiments of tribal dolts like yourself so the political class can share Oil Proceeds in peace? Again: THERE IS NOTHING LIKE SOUTH-SOUTH.

As my colleague reading as I type this said to tell you: "IF YOU WANT TO MOVE FROM BENIN TO CROSS RIVER, THEN DO SO AND TAKE YOUR FAMILY AND GOATS WITH YOU, BUT STOP TRYING TO DRAG PEOPLE INTO ANOTHER CONTRAPTION WHEN THEYRE STILL TRYING TO GET OUT OF THE PRESENT QUAGMIRE THEY ARE STUCK IN."
