yes.......take a look at the ancient city of kano
............take a look at the lagos island
............the national theatre was completed in 1976 and its still standing well
............FESTAC was completed in 1977 and its still standing, infact, FESTAC 2 is coming soon(still at development stage)
...........yankari game reserve is still there
............osun/Oshogbo has been standing since and is now one of W.H.O heritage site.
.............all our artifacts are still there.
u can go to the museum to see a lot.

simply because we don't have a tourism sector to show the world doesn't mean we don't have maintenance culture.

now, if we show only Calabar and yankari games to the world, what will u think?

I think it's a shame to we Nigerians that we claim to be civilized, fashionable and trendy yet we completely lack a good aesthetic appeal. The kind of pics i am seeing here from Kenya, seriously we have only a few or do not have such places at all in Nigeria.

Pls you guys should continue posting pictures of the beautiful Kenyan resorts, parks, gardens e.t.c. Perhaps it will provoke a better aesthetic taste for Nigerians. I myself am already provoked by these pictures.

I know many of my fellow Nigerians may not be happy with this comment of mine but it's the truth. I know everywhere in Kenya may not be beautiful, clean or aesthetically appealing, buh the point is that, the places that are beautiful, exquisite and clean are almost of world standards.

My fellow Nigerians should not see it as if i am condemning Nigeria totally, no. Of course not, we have other sectors in which we have excelled the most in Africa. Buh i think we should give to caesar what belongs to caesar.
Kenyans have a far far higher aesthetic taste than Nigerians, infact i am tempted to say that they are more civilized than us. (i may be using the wrong expression though).

I am from Benue state by origin (the Tiv homeland) and most Tivs accept and believe that they are of Bantu origins. yaah they do.
**** We the Idomas, Igedes, Yalas, Jukuns, Etulos, Kutebs, Alagos, Agatus and all the other ethnic groups neighbouring the Tivs in Benue, Taraba, Nasarawa and Cross river states are all from Kwararafa Kingdom by origin except the Tivs.

I studied all these histories about my people in the university. The Tivs came with a strong wave of migration from Congo area, (i think during the fall of the Kwararafa kingdom), and that was how they came to displace most of us the Kwararafan tribes, coupled with their high birth rates and expansionist lifestyles, they even cut off the Etulo people from Idomas and have almost culturally absorbed them today.
The Tivs are Bantu expansionist just like their other Bantu cousins who expanded and occupied almost the whole Africa, absorbing anyone on their way, that is why you see them fighting the Jukuns and other neighbouring ethnic groups in the middlebelt.

I have asked Kenyans this question times without number, but they always go dumb. They don't know or are too ashamed of the sector's worth.
Both Nigerian entertainment and fashion industries are worth estimated above $10 billion each, and these sectors grow faster coupled with the fact that we have the large markets for them and not too many competitors on the continent in these sectors.

Kenya's tourism have many competitors on the continent.
It's more expensive to build luxury resorts and maintain them compared to singing, acting or tailoring wears, don't you think?

Take this Wedding party movie for instance, the budget of the whole movie was #60 million but do you know that this movie made about #500 million within only weeks in the blockbusters/cinemas? Not to talk of the sales, sponsors e.t.c. ....
