I understand. You threw me off when you said "now is the time". Beating Cameroon wouldn't be a new thing to us. Rohr writing his name in gold will involve more.

It is precisely for cameroun that we need steel and grit. Skills alone will not cut it against those guys. Plantain makes Cameroonians thick, rugged and very mobile. If Iwobi for example jam body with them he go know say khaki no be leather.

German-Nigerian Defender Feeling Dejected As Germany Are Eliminated By African Champions
Published: May 31, 2017
German-Nigerian Defender Feeling Dejected As Germany Are Eliminated By African ChampionsJordan Torunarigha (Hertha Berlin) and Emmanuel Iyoha (Fortuna Düsseldorf) have ended their participation in the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup after Germany lost a seven-goal thriller to African champions Zambia on Wednesday at the Jeju World Cup Stadium.

Philipp Ochs from 1899 Hoffenheim opened the scoring for the Germans some eight minutes before half time with a sublime free-kick that went in off the underside of the crossbar.

Zambia led 3-1 after 85 minutes courtesy of goals from Banda, Sakala and Mwepu, but Germany mounted pressure and were rewarded with two goals which sent the game into extra time.

In the 107th minute, Shemmy Mayembe scored to win the game for the Junior Chipolpolo, who will meet the winner of the round of sixteen clash between Italy and France in the quarterfinal.

Emmanuel Iyoha was substituted in the 81st minute while Torunarigha worked a full shift for the third game in a row.

Central defender Torunarigha looked dejected at the end of the game and had to be consoled by a team official.

I don't know what you mean by banana eating.lol.. But yes Cameroon is a highly physical side. We will need some physical players, especially defenders and midfielders. Overall we would need players with stamina. Sometimes smaller players (strikers)can be tricky against bigger opponents (defenders). We need a mix. And we will play our game.

Exclusive: German, Belgian Clubs Approach Arsenal Over Loan Move For Kelechi

According to information gathered by allnigeriasoccer.com, topflight clubs based in Germany and Belgium have contacted FA Cup winners Arsenal over a loan move for Nigeria U20 skipper Kelechi Nwakali.

He suited up for the last time in a MVV Maastricht shirt on Sunday when they lost 1-0 to Roda in the Dutch Playoffs Third round, Game 2.

Representatives of Nwakali will hold talks with the Arsenal hierarchy in June that will clarify his future with the club.

The Super Eagles coaches have frustrated the attacking midfielder in his bid to be granted a work permit that would enable him play in the English Premier League, as he has yet to make his debut for the senior national team.

Kelechi Nwakali is tied into a deal with the Gunners until the summer of 2021.

"Technical. A technical player is a master of the techniques of the game (passing, trapping, shooting, dribbling, tackling the ball.) He has excellent touch, precise control, a fast work-rate of touches on the ball, and uses all sorts of body surfaces or edges."

Are you saying England kills this aspect in a player?

MODIFIED
Also how would you rate current SE midfielders going by the above definition?

Let me make it simple...MOST English players are not crafty, since technique has taken another meaning. They are too direct and simple, lacks invention and innovation. We call it police football.

There are many talents but it is difficult to know who is national team quality because of the quality of the league and the way things are run in the league.

Gascoigne, Mcmanaman, Rooney, Gerrard, Lamar, Beckham.. Are these guys technically deficient?

Again,"most" and not all. Beckham,Mcmanaman, and Lampard have one thing in common...long passes. A typical English style. Rooney and Gerrard are the exceptions.

I get your point. It's relative. But you can't say we should turn down the chance to play England groomed players that are Nigerians just for that reason. To me it's a case to case situation. Any player doing well and we think can add something to the SE deserves a call up.

Onyekuru Will Silence His Critics: Ian Wright
Posted By: soccerasson: May 31, 2017In: Eagles WatchNo Comments Print Email
Arsenal legend Ian Wright has backed new Super Eagles Star Henry Onyekuru to silence his doubters as he nears a switch to the Emirates to join the gunners

The 19 year old Onyekuru is on the verge of completing a move to dream side Arsenal following the agreement of the London based club to a £6.8m fee

Following the report a portion of Arsenal fans have criticized the club for always signing relatively unknown players with some going as far as to ask who Onyekuru is and doubting the Nigerians ability to cut it at the highest level

And Wright who played for the Gunners from 1991 to 1998 scoring a 128 goals remembers how he was doubted when he first joined the Gunners as well and has thrown his Support behind the Nigerian

“Remember watching the news when I signed for Arsenal,” Ian Wright said on social media

“Fans said ‘why we signing him?”

“Good luck to you Henry. I found the way to shut them up,” the 53 year old concluded.

Onyekuru scored 25 goals last season for Belgian side KAS Eupen and is currently in Camp with the Super Eagles on international duty

We see Muazam as a Manu Garba boy, together with the likes of Success, Ihenacho etc.
If not for his injury he would have been Europe long. Then you won't be talking about the NPFL. Give credits to who it is really due.
I'm still yet to see an outfield home based player that can prove he is deserving... Is Odey not on his way back to MFM? But Osimhen is still very much around. Rohr has ran the rule over both of them. The verdict is out.

If you like see him as a mama's boy,it won't change that the club by his name plays in the NPFL baby!!!!

Why I dumped Nigeria for Germany – Iyoha
By Gbolahan Dada-August 1, 2016

Fortuna Dusseldorf of Germany player, Emmanuel Iyoha, has said that the political instability in the running of football in Nigeria made him to snub Nigeria and changed nationality to Germany.

The 18-year-old, who plays for German second division side, featured for Germany at the recently concluded European Under-19 tournament, making one appearance in the six-goal thriller against Netherlands, which they later won 5-4 on penalties.

Speaking to Bild on why he opted to play for Germany, the striker who made five appearances for Fortuna Dusseldorf last season revealed that instability and lack of organisational structure in Nigerian football played a big part in his decision making.

“I’m a real native of Dusseldorf as I was born here. Although my father is from Nigeria, my mother is a German but I feel German in every way. I presently play for the Under-19 and am happy because Germany is just right for me, Nigeria is a politically unstable country.

“It is unfortunate to see Nigerian football crumbling like a pack of cards and its leaders have been unstable in the running of the country’s football in the last two years, with two different factions claiming to be in charge of football affairs,” Iyoha said
