A Nigerian lady got booted out of a Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to Abuja for allegedly attacking a female air hostess on Tuesday.

According to reports, trouble started after the Nigerian asked the white hostess to give her water, but the hostess refused because the flight had not taken off.

After a while, the Nigerian lady confronted the hostess and asked her for water again to which she obliged saying: "It's not time to give out water, we give out water after the flight takes off not before take off".

The lady was said to have smashed the cup out of the hostess' hand and spilled water on her body.

The hostess got angry and reported to the head pilot who immediately contacted the police to remove the lady from the plane.

Na wa o. I know that the ground staff are quite rude at Turkish airlines in Istanbul but I never had proboems with the flight attendants. But if the hostess already had water at hand, why not give the woman some to drink? Shr just want do gragra. This one tire me. Where does foolishness start and bravery end? The woman just complicate issues for herself yet she still no drink the water. What if what the hostess had was not clean drinking water but rather she was going to use it for some other thing? Na so that woman for go drink am with ijogbon ba?

Nigerians should stop thinking the entire universe is mannerless like their country. No sense of decorum whatsoever.

The question is this - would she have given somebody else water if they had that white skin?
I assume yes.

Would this story had cut most headlines if it wasn't a Nigerian involved?
I assume yes.

I therefore decide to stand with the lady, be she Afonja, Flatno, Awusa, Charlie, or Almajiri.

Down with the pilot who ordered out and that zombie who could not go and ask her superiors if she could give someone in desperate need of water.

Man I've seen water being given out upon request before take off. The air hostess was just being silly and the Nigerian lady overreacted. We should be civilized but we must not take crap from foreigners.

We Nigerians need to stop playing the race card when our people break rules and want to go scot free. Come on, why smash the cup on a hostess. Hostessesing and cabin crew members are respectable members of the society and important in flights. Most of them even earn far more than bankers. I wonder why people feel that because others people's jobs are to serve us, we must treat them like poo. That woman deserves to be booted out of that plane. What is wrong is wrong. Next time she will learn to respect the waiter in her local restaurant. Nonsense.

as much I don't like the fact the woman over reacted

it also not ideal that the air hostess couldn't break simple protocol to help a thirsty customer

lessons learnt :

1 - don't be too hasty to act out of anger and impatience

2- be calm and tactful

3-u may not always have your way even if its your right

4-respect other peoples view even if it's stupid

Stop making assumptions and deal with the matter at hand; assumption is the lowest level of arguments..
You can't start making assumptions when things haven't happened; as not even the devil knows the intention of man..
I could assume you are a cripple , with some weird understanding, that doesn't make it true and cannot be used as a factual premise for an argument . it defies sensibility...

Over water? A hostess should be a hostess in every sense of that word. She made the guest feel unwelcome by her actions and became involved in an assault issue. She could have handled the situation differently.

I would be surprised if the airline doesn't relieve her of that hostess duty. Except her management is dull, they'll realise this is a terrible image they've earned.

It will hunt or even hurt them for ages. Fighting with their passenger over water? Ordinary water? No. It is bad for an airline brand.

I am not even concerned about the woman, she can easily claim victim in this case. She could claim there was a delay already, that she was tired or that she is on meds, and etc.

I wont be surprised if competitors help them hype the matter.

The woman too would learn one or two things from this and will be a bit nicer to her husband, inlaws and others from henceforth.

For me I have realised cunning is key.

A. I won't insult/harass them till we are in the air smiley - just kidding.

B. I won't ask directly. I will feign choking and coughing and start using my hand to gesture around for water. If that doesn't work then I will know better than fly AjePako airline.

Even science, make it math, has facility for assumption.

It is people like you who reason assumption as the 'lowest level of arguments' that resort to fistcuffs to argue. At least to you it's not as low as assumptions.

And am not even arguing here, I made an educated guess as to a possibility of desperate need for water been the cause of the situation. We call that a hypothesis in research.

A sound mind will pick that up and either raise their observations or examine (research) that hypothesis and come back to say it was right or it was wrong.

What are you saying. I swear Blacks are more racial than whites. Listen, I have been on many planes and I see how you can make these hostesses do your bidding even if you are black. Just be nice and patient and you will get what you want if it is possible and at least not a risk. Why should she smash the cup out of the hostess's hand And I have seen a pilot throw a white couple out of his plane before. Even, it is white people that get thrown out most of the time.
