My husband. I'm an importer of aluminium panels from turkey and china
VO. Flips husbands passport to check for visas and turns to me. Madam you're a lawyer, what exactly is your job?
Me. I treat basically civil matters basically corporate fillings and contract negotiation
VO. What does it take to be a lawyer in nigeria
Me. I begin my story about gaining admission, doing five yrs, going to law school, being called to bar and swearing to uphold the law and defend the common man
VO. This is the best explanation I've gotten so far. Hands me the white paper and asked that I picked up at the chosen location in three working days.
NB the vo didn't ask for any document at all. Not even one

You are right. Like school exams some will pass either morning/night but many won't dare later in the day. I'd like to attend any interview fresh. I don't want to meet the VO when he is tired of listening to stories.

Good day, i ve been a silent reader here ever since i schedule an appointment.
My interview was may 31st, 10 am. I went there with my wife, 3yrs daughter and 1 yr old son.
we got there 9:37am , it was rainy then.
i filled the form my self , No AGENT.
I wish i can re schedule that appointment, i had malaria a day b4 the date.
They gave us privilege bcuz of my lil boy, they just called us to come to front ..so we took finger print and we proceed to the que for proper interview.
immediately, the security just called my wife again to come to the front ...
i was scared bcuz i never wanted it that time, i was feeling like throwing up...i went to gents like 4 times.
when we got to the front , the security had to begged the man at the front to allow us did our interview. The man quietly said NO PROBLEM
Immediately i saw myself in-front of VO.

my Daughter was bussy waiving at the VO, but the guy never respond, he was bussy talking to an american colleague of him, we saw both of them in dsame cubicle..talking for like 50 sec while we were waiting for him to look at our side, immediately he just turn to us.

@Bolded: Perhaps the VO was not satisfied that a grade 10-12 would understand your explanation of the equation of a line.

"....how soon can I reapply?" -You answered this yourself. It is written in the blue paper.

"If I apply today or tomorrow, won't they see it as being desperate?" If I am the VO, I will see it as desperate. Though you want to visit your uncle, I would suggest having a holiday somewhere else, e.g. a trip the UK (US appears to use "b" instead of "c" in the equation.). Good travel history is a plus for demonstrating that you love staying in Nigeria and love traveling for short visits.

I assume that your uncle is legally in the US and cleanly also (not the visit converted into stay type).

1. The equation of a line is typically written as y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept
2. Don't apply soon unless you are desperate or its an emergency, it is recommended that you wait for 3 months or until your circumstances changes as per ties.

Hello, i was denied a visa in 2013 because they said i did not demonstrate enough evidence to show that i would be returning back to Nigeria after my stay. (I have relatives in America). I was told to reapply when my circumstances had improved.

I am married now and my husband and i desire to visit the states to celebrate our wedding anniversary which also coincides with my birthday and also for my husband to get to know my family over there too. I also stated that i have relatives in the USA but i don't intend staying with them, we plan to lodge in a hotel for our privacy and comfort. Please what are our chances of getting the visa and what documents do we need to further support our applications? Thank you.

However, as for the equation of a line some books use b while some use c, the main point is explaining what the b or the c is, which I did ( y- intercept). I also have a travel history of a week in Dubai and a week in Kenya. I am married, my uncle is been in US for over Ten years through Visa Lottery (He is a card carrying citizen). He is clean even working with a wonderful firm in New York. I want to visit the US just for 21days during summer; July 28-August 18. That is why I am asking if I should try applying again, the fact still remains I will like to visit him this summer.

I am not a VO but you seem to have all ties to Nigeria - do you have kids? they serve as strong ties too. Your are married. Have a good paying job Have an Okay travel history.
But then there is the issue of a married woman, leaving her husband and kids (if there are any) to go visit an Uncle in the US. It looks somehow. IMHO though.

21 days is a lot to go enjoy alone leaving wifey and daughters behind, IMO. If you aren't going with them, it's better to shave off some days: 2 weeks may be more reasonable. (The VO didn't have to ask you, it should all be in your form.).

I think some UK texts use "c" instead of "b", and since you teach IGCSE (UK, right?). A visit to UK, Canada, Schengen, with more rigorous visa procedures, just might be more relevant as travel history for future visa applications.

If your hols to US is just to relax and visit your uncle, I still think it may be better not to reapply soon; spend the time and money in another country, and if possible, take your wife and children with you. (You can make it a one week family trip, to save costs).
