Good day fellow nairalanders, for about 2 years now, I have been treating shaving bumps. I have never used a shaving stick on my jaw but everyday , I encounter at least one person who asks me why I shaved with a shaving stick or they advise me to treat it. I am the only one suffering from this in my office and this makes me feel bad sometimes that my appearance is not immaculate as required by my job. Everything I have been told to buy, I have bought ranging from clippers, special shaving Blade, different creams too numerous to mention. Some of these treatments work for sometime and then my skin stops responding to them. Kindly suggest any way of this. Many thanks

Have u tried using scissors to trim,,just try it and apply after shave..

I haven't tried that yet .the itching doesn't allow me keep beards for more than 2days. but I will consider that. Thank you

Have you tried neo medrol lotion? It is very effective for preventing as well as eliminating shave bumps. At least it has worked for me and so many men here. As a banker you suppose dey represent well, make bumps no dull your style. Try d lotion.

Wow.... That is some chunky shaving bumps.
I shave everyday, but never experience shaving bumps (shaving sticks, warm water + shaving gel). I use bump stop guard and aftershave gel afterwards (this works for me, it might not work for you)...
Have you considered leaving the beard grow, and simply trim fashionably?

its not shaving powder, its a hair remover, used for beards.
gives no bumps. ur beards will literately clear n it takes abt 5days to apply anoda shave

Not really But it is much better now,...I noticed d bumbs come out as d hair is growing..so I shave thoroughly everyday now.

Every day? With powder, stick or Clipper.

I will try to shave every two days. You are right, the bumps come out with hair growth

You need to get your own clipper..if you don't have one already. ..I use clipper at home sometimes i do it everyday sometimes every two days it depends.....and Irub these normal stuffs after shaving...

sorry for that. I once had bumps but I treat it using Bumps stopper and Neo medrol. See photos of how it look and you can still google for more ideas.

Thanks man.. Thank God it is not as bad as it used to be 2 years ago. It is not embarrassing again because I shave everyday now..

Before shaving apply mentholated powder.

After shaving apply a steroid cream.

in my case after I finished shaving I will run the bump stopper for at least 2 more days, the bumps will not appear again although I do shave once a week, precisely every Friday evening.
