Some guys are saying that merit last year for MBBS was 311+. Was this for JAMB mark or a combination of JAMB and WAEC? cos I don't understand again....
Need a reply ASAP.

Don't be naive. that wasn't the cut-off mark but the benchmark. uniben didn't release any cutoff. most of those who crossed that mark didn't get the course. some were, however, given a less competitive course.

Big fat lie. Disregard such info, as only the registrars know how they admitted students last year.

Good score. Notwithstanding, your chances are neither slim nor fat: uncertain.

some students scored up to 290 last year and didn't get MBBS. some probably didn't get up to that and got the course. To be safer, you can opt for a less competitive course, or you can hang in there, pray, fast, and hope for the best.

Best still, if you know an insider, your chances are 100%. wink

now see, with wah u saying its still the cutoff, it means, if some1 even had a score of 216 he/she could still be given, and some1 dah had 232 myt be denied, it depends on the luck, connection and the likes..

That was merely the screening benchmark not the actual cut off.... Don't be deceived.

i am aspiring for chemical engineering in uniben i have 222 in jamb, i know the score can't compete for the course so i have a qquestion
if i change my prefered course to a less competitive course like production engineering and i was admitted will i be able to change my course back to chemical engineering?

Production Engineering isn't less competitive, but do know that you can transfer within and outside engineering excluding pharmacy , medicine and law.

last year production engineering cut off mark was 200. chemical was 215, petroleum eng 220. and capital yes. u can transfer from any engineering department to another, after your first year. I.e when you are going to 200level. but 222 is not a complete write- off for chem eng. I got it some years back with just 225 and I know some people who scored less that got their engineering course. tho we wrote putme at that time. to be frank, anything from 220 and above is suitable for all engineering course. it just depends on the general performance of those viaing for the course

NO, no matter the course u want to study..even if it is law or English....... U must have at least C6 in math and English... Very compulsory...
