bakynes:

Mr Man stop pouring spit all over this thread, I am not supporting Osinbajo but all these allegations is mere speculations. What do you know, you think you are brilliant enough? Why didn't you join them as an economic team member?

If true about the appointments, I think that's nepotism even though he appointed other Southerners asides Yoruba's but the ratio of Yoruba to other southerners is too much on the side of Yorubas. Northerners barely have anything to offer intellectually anyway, so I don't blame him for not appointing any Northerner. All they rely on is Federal character over competency.

They are not mere speculations. You can verify yourself and make your own writeup of the truth.

When Northerners do it with the SSS recruitment and other appointments, we cry foul, then when we do it, we remember they are intellectually-disadvantaged. That's not the way to run a country.

Chastise everyone even if the person is your brother, so that you have a precedence to chastise someone else and the person would listen to you. You can't give reasons for Osinbajo's nepotism and then when the North does it tomorrow, you'll say it's wrong. You've lost all credibility at that point.

This is one of the reasons why the country isn't progressing. No one wants to extend the olive leaf first. Everyone is just waiting their turn to do same and at the end of the day we are comfortable to gossip about it in the pubs and social gatherings.

What Osinbajo did is wrong. If Atiku and GEJ can appoint people not from their region, why can't Osinbajo? This is common sense. If you guys claim he is better than Buhari, why do the same things Buhari would do.

See how you silently side stepped the question wink

You obviously voted for PMB and yet thoroughly flayed him just minutes ago. There is nothing wrong with standing by your decision. Let people know where you stand regardless of the consequences.

As for the North, karma keeps dealing with them. Despite the power they've had over the decades, they still have the least development.

It will surprise you that I used to be an ardent GEJ fan.

But when it dawned on me that he was actually scheming to completely annihilate we Yorubas politically all the while, I changed. That was in 2016.

If GEJ had won a second term, Yorubas would have been politically doomed. We'd be lucky if we had the position of deputy speaker. smiley

Deliberately mischievous? That's you fella.

The VP didn’t stop there, of his 10 Principal Officers in his office, 9 are from his Yoruba ethnic group!

So the president would assign principal officers to Osinbajo in the VP office?

lol ... everybody just dey side with im broda for dis thread.

Recall early in the current administration when the president started with his lopsided appointments, his staunch supporters were from his deputy's zone. They flogged the hollow ruse in the media that 'he can appoint from anywhere so far the appointee is competent' balderdash argument over the obvious injustice.

Now the deputy is doing same and his boss's people are now crying out - not repaying the 'he can appoint from anywhere so far the appointee is competent' ruse his deputy's folks pushed then through the media. Now the deputy's folks suddenly remember that lopsided appointments in a sensitive, diverse county is a travesty of justice when their own son is called out on it.

Tribalism is our bane in this country.

Uhm!

It was you guys that sold your right to Speaker of the House of Representatives for peanut.

And Tinubu under GEJ was more influential than he is today.

GEJ would have handed over to a NW/SW joint ticket. So your conspiracy theory of annihilating Yorubas politically is incorrect.

The only people he had with in Yoruba land were those in the Tinubu camp who were desirable partners in 2011, but shifted camp in 2015 because they felt Tinubu would get the VP slot.

Under GEJ, the only SE in the direct line of succession was Ekweremadu, they weren't screaming about annihilation.

Today, you guys only have Osinbajo. Saraki is representing the NC.

There is nothing you guys are gaining now, that you weren't gaining under GEJ, so re-evaluate your stand. SW roads, ports, airports were given consideration. The ACN, the foremost SW regional party was allowed to fester even into the President's region.

In 2019, if Buhari doesn't run, the next Northerner would choose someone from the SE preferably. PDP already has the same arrangement. Osinbajo can go form a new party with Tinubu like Buhari did with CPC to run for presidency, heaven knows he wouldn't win more than 50% of the vote in Yoruba land. In other regions, a fowl would get more votes than him.

What you guys have right now is a 4 year pyrrhic victory where your foremost political icon has been cut to size and where your most senior political official is nothing but a local champion. I hope the collection of nepotist VP appointments will be worth it in 2019.

There is no time in this country and elsewhere, where the President decides who works with the VP. Even as docile as Sambo, GEJ did not do it.

Of course, it is a Presidential appointment, and the state house would issue the appointment letter after all the VP's office is under the State House, but it is the VP that chooses who he prefers to work with.

Buhari would not go pick a person Osinbajo barely knows and enforce it on Osinbajo. Even Ministers get to decide who works in agencies under their Ministry, not to talk of the VP deciding who works in his office. That is his kitchen cabinet for crying out loud. He'd want loyalists especially in a bi-polar party like APC with many rival sub-sections.

If that was not the case, how would VPs compensate their boys who worked for their election? This is Nigeria, stop sounding clever than half.

The story of gross marginalization of Yorubas by GEJ is a fallacy.

The Agriculture Minister was a Yoruba man, who GEJ and NOI endorsed for the AfDB election.

What nonsense are you yapping about.

Is there a road he refused to fund in the SW. A rail project he refused to give accent to. Did he forego the SW ports for another regions port? Did he hound your political heavyweights?

GEJ chased after Ibori, his own kinsman and left Tinubu. Many in his own region have not forgiven him for that.

So what marginalization are you talking about?

You are free to support whoever you like, but never bring up absurdities.

Tinubu did not support GEJ in 2015 because he had an arrangement with Buhari to be the APC VP aspirant. He felt he had his region on lock-down, was already making in-roads into other regions, and felt he should take a shot at the Vice Presidency. It had nothing to do with marginalization. And you all waltzed over to the other side for that reason. Don't say nonsense about marginalization.

That is what it is in Nigeria, the US and in most fledging democracies.

It is the basic form of giving honor to whom honor is due.

We are talking about the appointees in the VP office. The VP appointed them directly. Buhari had no input rather than placing his signature.

Other Presidential appointees elsewhere would be him recommending names as a principal officer in the government and Buhari choosing his candidate.

The issue is that why are most of his recommendations Yorubas and especially RCCG members?

Don't try to justify nepotism, tomorrow you'd be at the receiving end of it, and na una dey sabi scream pass.

I guess you have seen this thread:

And they met him over and over again to complain. But he did nothing about it and promised to do so after the elections when he was campaigning in the SW.

What did he take us for? Such a dumbass!

Tinubu and co didn't complain. They simply strategised how to boot him out, which they achieved, thanks to his dull nature. grin

Sheath my sword.

It has already begun fella.

Osinbajo was one of the people who convinced the KSG to drop the probe. Others were Dangote and Dantata and some Northern Elite. The curious thing is why did Osinbajo join the foray? He exposed himself.

We all know Osinbajo cannot get more than 50% in the SW. He wouldn't even become the flag-bearer in APC as we know it in 2019.

Moreover, Buhari is recuperating in London and is set to return this month, so no road for Osinbajo, okay.

All of this is mainly to pocket whatever influence he thinks he is garnering by putting a kibosh on the Yoruba media that has been on full drive. If Tinubu can be cut to size, it is now Osinbajo with all his antecedents in the Lagos government.

Guy, don't try to be funny.

you still do not have any evidence that he was part of the group.

I can tell you that osinbajo will win SE , SS, SW and middle belt in 2019 if buhari decides not to run.

How dare you compare nos 1/2, 3, 6, House Leader and Chief Whip to the rubbish list you have up there

Are you okay

Who are you to decide what is okay by Yorubas

No tribe, not even the Hausa/Fulani, have ever had it this good! cool

Northerners will never have a woman rule over them in the HoR!! smiley

I've exposed your lies, now, you are saying who am I to decide for the Yorubas.

You said GEJ marginalized the SW. Then when I showed you what the SW got compared to other Southern regions under GEJ, you start bleating uncontrollably.

GEJ did not marginalize the SW. Na greed go arrange una.

You say all Yorubas are Yorubas irrespective of region. So let me ask you, would the SW give their next presidential slot to Saraki who is from the NC?

Just look at how you are disgracing yourself.

So, it is no longer about tribe now, it is gender.

You cannot prove that GEJ marginalized SW, yet you used a strong word that he was trying to annihilate you guys, you have a very big problem.

I see you running amok on this thread .

first, there nobody by that name in the OP .it's just an ipob/PDP conspiracy.

secondly, the man at the center of this conspiracy is an Igbo man and he's very qualified.

third , there is no evidence that osinbajo ordered sanusis probe to be dropped. it's just an imagination of the writer. you all beli osinbajo is a powerless commissioner, how did he have the power to stop a northern state to drop a probe? are you not shooting yourself in the foot?

we all know this is just a starter to the propaganda ahead of 2019 so sheat your sword we all know the drill. and for your info, your atiku can never defeat osinbajo in 2019.

The letter which involves the name of Osinbanjo as among those saving Sunusi was written and signed by Kano State Governor and the speaker of Kano state read it before the Assembly.

Who are the speculators now? Kano State Governor or the speaker? Has Osinbanjo deny it.

You're rather the speculator that Osinbanjo did not support corruption.

Like I always say, your opinions are not worth more than a used sanitary towel. smiley

GEJ marginalised Yorubas and we booted him out. Period! cool

I would choose Saraki over any non Yoruba anytime anyday.

SW slot can never be given to Saraki because Saraki is not from the SW.

When Idiagbon was deputy to GMB, Yorubas were cool with it. We didnt care if he was from the NC.

As regards Mulikat, the north had the aces. If they had backed Mulikat, she would have won. But they just didnt want a woman ruling them!

How is that difficult for you to understand

Oga, don't run faster than your shadow.

SE and SS would vote for a SE VP (loyalty), SW and Middle Belt would be divided between Osinbajo and the Northerner/SE joint ticket, NW and NE with their 1 million per huge state almajiri votes would seal the victory. If Osinbajo get reach 6 million votes, he try.

Don't even try to permutate it.

First think of how you guys would get other interests in the APC to support a Osinbajo candidacy, not this nonsense you are talking here. More than 15 states under the APC are controlled by the CPC faction. Tinubu only has Lagos, Osun, and Edo.

You guys have made an enemy out of everyone and that's why I've said you guys have been checkmated. Even the person you guys are trying to sell is a bigot, corrupt midget. E no fit sell.

Buhari is coming back just in time for Nigeria to exit the recession this quarter. He'd prolly ascent to increase of minimum wage next year. Even if he doesn't run, he would endorse whoever runs, and we both know that person is not Osinbajo. Not when the North has not had their complete 8 years.

All this window-dressing is a BIG FAIL.
